    I was fortunate to live in Boise for several years, and spent many great evenings at the Idanha Hotel when Gene played there.

    Drummer snapping that syncopated snare in a few of the shots was the definition of smooth. A+ video

    Here is one of my all time favorite bassists Ray Brown. Saw/heard him the first time (in my life) in Oslo, Norway in 1956 with JATP (Jazz At The Philarmonic) I was ONLY 13yrs

    Ohhhhh sooooo good! The three musicians AND the song! The first high school I taught at, the band would play this at football games, and they did a good job and gave the audience some great music!

    He was the greatest jazz pianist of all time. His fingers have the shading and excitement that are unmatched even by Oscar Peterson.
