    #gottastartsomewhere
    1) Try a hard CMOS reset (could be the battery simply died and whatever's stored in there got corrupted)
    2) Disassemble, check for moisture/leak spots, test the mobo outside the case to rule out shorts
    3) Man idk this thing just rocks and I wanna see it work xD maybe try 2 dimms per cpu and switch 'em up
    4) (thanks @Bill G) *CAPS!* So true :( those years the market was flooded with flawed off-brand capacitors; worth double-checking!
Dual-socket systems also often use workstation-grade mobos, which like server boards can take *FOREVER* to post.. be sure to let it sit for awhile.

Agreed, seems like prebuilts now, they cut so many corners and you end up pure shit. I was heavy into modding and building from '04-'10, the water stuff wasn't too expensive but good quality (I had mostly DD) and it was a slight sub gene of pc building. I was one of the only few with a custom loop at my LANs, now you have so many AIO options, its crazy.

I still have warm fuzzy feelings about Voodoo PC... they truly exemplified the custom and high end mentality. In the days of flat ide cables, they trained their system builders in origami techniques to manage the cables. Honestly, I feel that they actually started the trend of sexy cable management. I would do terrible things to get my hands on one of their old 24ct gold atx cases...

I built several extremely similar systems for a company I worked for in 2006. We used them as workstations for some top secret projects. We also used them as backup servers for emergency management software we were developing and you're right on the money. They cost between $5k and $6k. Still one of my favorite builds to this day.

Sun was big on them, as I used them at work in that time, same CPUs, Quadro GPU and ECC memory. They were great at compile and running scripts, I don't know about CAD workloads.
