    Man out of all the rc channels, I dig your channel the most. It's not all one company and ya know. Just more about the rc's and that's what it's all about, also getting more and more people familiar with the hobby. Great build man and video. From Michigan 👍👍

      I agree. This channel has grown on me over the last year. I use to enjoy KT vids but you go to that channel if you want to see someone spend money and break things without giving any knowledge to the hobby. This channel is awesome because you can tell he actually enjoys it and spreads some knowledge. I always look forward to his uploads.

    I promise you, take off those Prolines and get whatever aftermarket wheel of choice is you like and get the Vitavon full size street tires. I did a Promoto and Supermoto build and even with speed gears the Supermoto only did 40. Swapped over to some Aliexpress Vitavon knock offs and some Vitavon tires and the bike handles SO much better, does 50MPH on 2S stock battery and will still do wheelies for days! No more chain rub or chain guard rubs! Can turn sharper and is just loads more fun!

    • @TomleyRC

      I'll take a look... although this drives so nice as it is without the stabilisers.

      I was so interested in the bike I was lucky to order one from Canada 🇨🇦back in August. Love it so much mine is now 3s .and yes vitavon Street tyres are perfect.

    • @TheDudeRc
      @TheDudeRc 5 месяцев назад +12

      They do handle a treat with the arms off. I love the look! I just got tired of chasing it. Wore my wives Fitbit and it said I walked 1.8 miles picking it up. LOL I kept eating chains and such so tried out the larger wheels. MUCH better performance now. I can send a link of the the video on larger wheels if you like. I am a HUGE fan of your channel so dont want to step on any toes. I went with the HR gears which is one tooth larger pinion (sprocket) and 1 tooth smaller wheel sprocket and added the hardened chain.

    I know I know I'm yakking a lot but shout out for the engineering behind it. It's off the hook! To combine the gyro with the board to allow the thing to even stay upright but then the different wheelie modes AND the fact that the rider's arms move with the steering and to fit it all in. I bet they spent 1000's of man hours engineering it all before they got it to work.
    I don't think ppl realize the tuning required to get the gyro programmed to keep it upright but also allow it to lean into corners. Those two actions are in direct violation of each other.
    It takes a LOT to impress me and this thing does...(if you couldn't tell).

    • @TomleyRC
      @TomleyRC  5 месяцев назад +8

      haha...Yak away dude. I am more impressed with the engineering behind this than the actually driving of it lol.

      @@TomleyRC I know right? I bet there are engineers right now taking it apart and looking at the source code to figure out how they did it.

    • @ralphhondaman

      It is awesome technology forsure. Someone was saying the reciver is just a air reciver with fly safe program written to it. Not 100% but I wouldn't mind figuring out what one they relabled to use. So of this ones ever had to get you can get another one that has the same gyro.

    • @mgscheue
      @mgscheue 5 месяцев назад +1

      Definitely. I'm a physics guy and all it took was seeing one video of how the thing works and I had to have it.

    I had a Tyco Harley Davidson FatBoy motorcycle when I was a kid and its was the coolest rc I had up until I was 11 because it really drove without side wheels! I'm 37 now and my friends and I would of lost our friggin minds if we would of had something like this back then! Thanks for sharing!

    If you don’t mind, I built a stock Tamiya clod buster when I was a young lad, and it is long gone. Maybe a future video build one with little to mild hop ups! It would bring back memories. Don’t forget the old commercials

  • @ralphhondaman
    @ralphhondaman 5 месяцев назад +7

    You can make super tight turns. It's something you learn or maybe it's because I ride real ones. Turning on the throttle is your friend with these. Stay on and off the throttle and I can make tight turns in my yard effortless. But everyone learns them differently. These are so easy to operate. Some reviews on RUclips give the wrong impression. One thing I've learned. Don't listen to others reviews. Because usually it's operator error. And if people actually read the box or manual you'll see to make tight turns adjust the MX6.

    • @AsurasWrath164
      @AsurasWrath164 5 месяцев назад +1

      Youre right with braking. As soon as you slow down the gravity pushes the bike straight up again and therefore needs a wider diameter for turning.
      As you said too: turning with bikes needs staying on the throttle and steering in the opposite direction.

    • @ralphhondaman
      @ralphhondaman 5 месяцев назад

      @AsurasWrath164 when I get a chance I'm going to get some videos In my backyard with it. I can make some tight turns with it no problem around my track. It can be tricky but it's something I've learned with it. I have 2 of them that are built a little different. But adjusted the mx6 know helps big time. I adjust it differently for dirt and on road.

    I'm hoping they are working on a superbike road version. I'll be all over that like white on rice. Other than body panels and rider, I think the only major change would be the length of the front shocks. I think the protection arms out the sides could be integrated into the fairing/body panels. I think that'd be epic and create a whole division for on road racing.

      I would also love to see a superbike version. But if they want to do it right, they have to change a lot. The geometry for a street bike is totally different. Theyre less tall but with a longer wheelbase, the swingarm is mounted higher in the chassis. The angle of the front shocks is also different.

      @@Truckziller I guess you've never heard of adventure bikes?
      Not to mention these aren't actually superbikes OR motocross.
      The length can be done with a long chain and swing arm. The front shocks can be shortened.
      It wouldn't be that diff, you can tell by the way this version handles on the road with just a change in tires.
      I mean did you SEE the way it was leaning into the corners on asphalt?

      @@muskokamike127 Ah maybe thats why Marc Marquez left Honda, because they wouldn´t give him an Africa Twin for MotoGP.
      Of course theyre not real bikes, but part of the fun is the authentic look and behavior. The mods you listed are already available or can be made easy. If Losi will step in, they will do it right.

    I got a similar one of those about 22-23 years ago when I was about 11 or 12 years old, obviously not a losi or anywhere near as good, but its was awesome had the gyro in it too, it's was orange, quite big too. I can't remember what brand it was, I think it was only about $200 nzd had to give it a little push to get it going , and it popped wheelies! It was wheelie good fun.
    When these losi pro moto came out it gave me a strong sense of nostalgia so i might have to bite the bullet and go pay the $1300 NZD to get one 🤣

    There is something I don't understand. I had the skyrc sr5 dirt bike and on 2s in a field I did not have to go pick it up as much, a punch of throttle and it will stand up alone and go. Just careful as the direction might not be as you went but it will go. Why did you have to go so often to pick it up? Fantastic content as usual, I can't wait to see what you do with the trex

    That montage at the beginning in stock spec is superb, Phil!
    You made your bike look very cool - but I have a question.
    Did you notice the talker gearing you got from the smaller rear sprocket?
    I ask because you simultaneously fitted a smaller rear wheel, so I'm wondering to what extent that cancelled out the effect of the sprocket.

    I'm getting that it must be certain brand name companies that they're making aftermarket parts for.. that motorbike came out a year ago and they've got tons of upgrades for it out there, well so did the Redcat machete and nobody's making anything for that LOL and if you ask my opinion I think that red cat machete is going to be one heck of a beast! I've seen where some people didn't think that highly of Redcat until they drove the machete and it's kind of changed their mind about it hahaha!! 🤟 yeah that motorbike looks awesome now with your upgrades great job🤟
