- Hey everyone. Taking a VERY QUICK peek inside the PROJECT 1/6 shop in Shibuya featuring a bunch of MAFEX and Bearbrick figures on display.
Unfortunately I couldn't film much as the store has a no video policy but I was able to get some.
If you visit Tokyo make sure to check the shop out.

I don’t think you’re going to get much of a difference in price for newer stuff. I’d go to Uchusen in Akihabara, Nakano Broadway in Nakano, Project 1/6 in Shibuya, or Medicom Toy Plus in Omotesando Hills. You’ll find Bearbricks all around Tokyo in sneaker stores as well as clothing stores. Just keep an eye out.

Thanks for checking out my video. I’d say your best option for new figures is Radio Kaikan in Akihabara between floors 4-6 as there are a few shops there selling new and newish figures. For older, Mandarake shops or Jungle are good places to look. Jungle is in Akihabara and Mandarake has shops in a few places throughout Tokyo.

As Im travelling with my wife so I wont have a lot of time so just wanted to narrow down my search. Thanks
Nice! I don’t think you’ll have any trouble getting any of the releases from the past few months. You’ll definitely pay less in Japan and even less than me by bringing your passport for the tax exemption. If you’re unable to make it to Akihabara, reply to this message and I can try to recommend something in a different area that might be easier for you.
So, where is the best place to get Mafex in Japan ?
For price, I’d say Amazon preorder, AmiAmi, or one of the MAFEX stores. For availability, Akihabara should be your first stop.
How do you know what stores to ender and what stores to ignore (mafex)
It depends on where you are. Mostly you learn from experience.
Akihabara
Go to Radio Kaikan. There are about 4 shops that carry Mafex on floors 4-6. Yodobashi Camera and Bic Camera also carry Mafex. Mandarake has Mafex but usually nothing new. Mostly older stuff.

Those figures are long sold out. The older figures are display only.
