How long after paint coats do you wait to tack cloth it?

So I ordered 2 fenders and a hood. Color is Toyota black. Parts come primed supposedly. So scuff, 2 base coats, and 2 or 3 clear coats? Paint I ordered from Sherman Williams auto comes with a reducer for the base, and a hardener or Catylist for the clear coat.. that sound right? I don’t know about the bulldog, can I skip that? I also have a new paint gun, and filter, but a normal 3gal nail gun compressor... do you or should you scuff the first base coat with like a 600?

You got everything right you can skip bulldog only need it for plastic bumpers. Don't sand paint in between coats

wear gloves if at all possible as when you touch the panel while using prepsol, you can leave a greasy fingerprint that the primer may not stick to, even if you have wax and grease remover on your hands. great video though.

Yes , there is nothing to difficult tho. I have many videos on bumper repair and painting and repairing dents with filler.

Question: I am painting in my garage and I’m a little concerned about overspray getting all over things in my garage like my tool box and other things. Do I need to cover every single thing up with a tarp? Or by painting up close, is it necessary? I noticed that vehicle in the back ground, and you don’t seem too worried about it and the other things in your shop. I’m very inexperienced. Thanks

Yes, you do have to worry about overspray cover anything your concerned about. Especially clearcoat it will stick to things in your garage and be hard to remove.
