I had a vocal couch and she is great. Our music didn’t have the vibe ya know. She had me sing stuff like My favorite things from the sound of music which is a great song but it doesn’t fit my voice because it goes higher and my voice is a pretty deep voice for a female
You need more alto stuff, maybe contralto. Maria Carey is a really technical singer but for some reason I prefer singers like Whitney Huston who can command their range at nearly all dynamic levels. No good if you can just belt a supposed 8 octaves and I find her voice harsh at times.
In this video it sounds really easy to learn it but after nearly 3 years of singing with a teacher I got perfectly trained just the first skill and only now starting the second one but in one thing she’s right: if you really like to sing you will never give up
I cant sing loud and powerful i think Thats really broke my confidence about singing. If u make any video about that it can help me and other people who struggle with that. For example i never belt while singing because my voice crack
same I normally restrain my voice from going louder. Not only is it because I live in an apartment so I can’t sing loudly, but it’s also because singing loudly tends to hurt my ears.
Other aspects to remember: A. Your internal muscles need to support your singing. B. Don't constrict or force things, the clearest tones and loudest voices come most effortlessly. They come there by technique and practice, not by forcing things. C. Your upper register muscle and your lower register muscle need training, too.
3:58 I explain this to people a lot - you can hear the parts you dislike, so you gotta try to identify how to fix it, retry saying it, and if you don't hate it as much, it's probably gotten better. WRT recording on your cellphone (tons of people in Frankfurt, Germany and artists in general here avoid recording on a phone (any instrument) saying the device is low quality, but they're just scared)
I don't think I'm a bad singer but i have a hard time singing with a good technique, i also kinda destroyed my voice a few years ago by belting out notes without warming up or knowing what to doy did that for a long long time. And now meh whenever i sing i need to take rests for a few days and take strict care of my voice because it just hurts. Idk how to sing "healthy" even though I've watched so many videos on how to do that. Can't even get a vocal coach lol
Its because when you speak and hear yourself speak in real life, you hear your voice differently to your actual voice. When u record your voice and play it back, you sound weird because thats your actual voice
Definitely listen to the key and try and imitate it when you're practicing. Also for me I think being in choir helped me and the first time I listened to a voice recording of myself I felt like crawling in a hole. My aunt recently told me when I was young like about 12 she said I sang a note that made her cringe. 😂 However, she said I've improved now.
With the voice in my head I make beautiful songs. When I pick my mic, am unable to make that delivery. Is such a burden. The only time I get control over my voice is when I sing as low as though am humming. To sing any louder than that, my voice will disappear in between and some words are completely muted. When I started teaching in secondary school, I had no choice but to be at the top of my voice, these classes were quite large. I use my head voice and intentionally create distortion within my upper throat so that the entire class can here me out. I sound like 0:04. When I go home and try to sing, I noticed I can sing louder and stress free. This is a weird experience as I learned that shouting can rather ruin one's voice. I need a great singer like you to test a few existing songs. Do you offer such service? Can you be hired for a song or two? I'll appreciate any feedback s'il vous plait.
The thing is I'm good at singing when I don't try so hard, like when I'm focused on something or I'm doing something I sing and I've heard ppl say I've got a good voice then when I actually take the time watch a singing video that helps my singing and I try I'm bad ._.
I’ve been in my school choir’s student since elementary school, Choir was always my favorite class, and I had the choir teacher in high school that taught me so much Ik that Choir voice and natural singing voices are different in many ways, but I hope I can learn🩷
I knew a guy back in my late 20's who probably had the most beautiful natural timbre I've ever heard. At that time I was taking vocal lessons at the nearest conservatory - just for the fundamentals of breathing properly and adequate vocal coordination... I told him he would have no bounds if he would only train. He never took a lesson, but sang in different bands for years, until he blew his voice out. Singing isn't just having a pleasant natural tone - that's just the raw potential. It's so worth it to learn, even for five or six months. Still one of the best things I've done.
But i did the same mistake in my vocal lesson when my coach said more high, powerful and increase your volume, i raise my head to increase my volume but he said no, you can do more higher note with more power and volume without raising your head and he was right, i didn't move my head and i hit the high note and volume he wants me to do
I have a very good high voice, like Ariana grande notes. I’m just bad at holding them. It’s undeveloped. Although I could be a good singer if I tried. My deep notes are horrible. Like the lovely from Billie elish, those notes that go, “Oh I hope some day I’ll make it out of here” I’m bad at that part but when she goes “isn’t it lovely, all alone” I’m good at that. Also, I feel that I can’t sing loud either. Any tips??
I kinda understand the devolpe part, when I was 5 all the way until recently when I decided to record me singing for the first time I found out my singing voice improved, then I strained my voice less than a month later. This was cringey but I showed my mum my voice recording showing her I knew how to sing hoping she can fix it. Then I asked if I used to sing that well a while agoqnd she said no. I literally devolped an okay singing voice in short time that's passed from singing Encanto songs 😭😭😭.
Thank you very much. Your video is very informative. :) I've always only had people tell me I suck, but never why or lie that I sound good, but not how. :( I don't have anyone anymore now. Other than my daughter who tells me I sound beautiful all the time. Haha Very informative and good that you say positive criticism/critique should be taken. :)
My biggest problem is not being able to control my voice. Like I can identify when there is a difference between the way I am singing and the way it actually is, like the pitch or tone or anything, but the problem is that idk how to make my voice sound like that. I sometimes go off-key and can see it but idk how to be on-key.
I have a range of around 2 octaves, and I can sing on tune, but I feel like my voice when I sing just sounds really ordinary... 😭 kind of like how I talk normally? How do I develop a more pleasant kind of voice? Like how you have a kind of honeyed tone lol how do you do that? I'm half-Filo myself (tho i grew up elsewhere) and i've never understood how you do this.
Just listened to 2 podcasts of u Zane 😊really helpful - all about singing passion & you tube for beginners - like your style - wit - passion many thanks x will try a few hash tag tips ! ❤
I love this. As an amateur singer trying to work my way pro all I hear daily is obsessive annoying comments about how my pitch is off. It literally is all people can fixate on yet not once have I ever been told my tone is bad. Not once.. yet I continue to be ridiculed and shamed for my struggle with pitch. My vibrato and power can knock down an apartment complex yet it's never noted or taken into any consideration. What I invite people to understand is tone does matter just the same. I agree pitch is important but as illustrated in this video you can have bang in pitch but if the rest isn't there then it really doesn't matter. Pitch is NOT everything.
I personally think I’m a good singer. I come from a musical family, my moms a singer . I also play the violin and I’m told that I have a good ear by many people even professionals. I’ve had a few choir classes when I was little nothing to extreme and I’ve had private singing lessons before and the teacher said I have a good voice. The only thing I honestly think I need to get better at is my vibrato. I can sometimes do it but not on command. Or I can do it on command but it doesn’t come out as strong. I have a good ear, I can identify an off key pitch or one key one. I just need to practice my vibrato more 😭
I have a question, what about a singing coach? How do we find one? Going through the lessons online won't help use figure out our issues if no one is there to help identify issues 😅
The thing is a good chunk of singing is in my opinion “a god given talent”. Some people have tone deafness so they cant hear when they are off pitch, therefore that cant sing correctly. But then again just because someone can hear if they’re off key or on key doesn’t mean hey sing correctly or good, which takes time developing your voice and learning good singing posture and technique to achieve a good singing voice
I have zero knowledge of music ile i never learn music or took a class of it from kindergarten to college i even don’t know what the DO RE MI sounds like So where should i start??? Does learning instruments (guitar)helps to know the keys and pitch???
I can do high note and sing vibrato but my vibrato isn't stable, when i have my singing lesson i understand why, i breath with my upper body whe i sing so i raise my soulder and i didn't see it before my coach pointed my bad habbit to singing andadvise me to breath with my belly! I did it and my vibrato sounds more stable, i was happy to see my improvement
ah i know how i can go in high note, i can do high note, i have soprano voice, but i can't do belting, neither run and riff, i can sing ballad with high note as a beginner but i don't try at all mariah carey etc as a beginner, i can't do that, i don't have the technique! And i sing with my head high voice that sounds sweet and i like it
I have a very deep and gravely or vibrating type of voice. It’s very hard to make my voice even sound smooth, and much harder to sing at an even slightly high pitch. How should I fix it?
Your video helped me a lot, but as a clarinet player things like pitch or pleasant voice I already know it but through my instrument. I have a great breath control so too. I think when you play an instrument like flute or anything with your breath it can help a lot.
As a kid i always wanted to sing better and improve myself, and i agree that the cringe and confidence is the hardest part. But in the end i went from never singing at all to litteraly making my family crazy by singing so much. I got over the cringeness by time and now i have a better voice, you just have to get past it!!
Imagine innocently singing to yourself then your mum/dad walks in and says something demeaning about your voice. I was 7 years old. Ever since then I have lost power in my voice because I have had to sing quietly, like really quietly.
I've wanted to be a singer since I was 4. I'm 13 now. I don't know if I can make it. I've always wanted to. This is my 4th year doing chorus and I'm trying to start singing lessons. I want to get better. I started writing songs when I was 6. I had a passion for music for years now but I don't know if I could make it. I'm not a good singer, normal for a 13 year old girl I guess though, but I want to into to music more than anything and it's the one thing I don't think I'll ever give up on. I don't know what to do and I know it's a hard career to get into but it's been a passion of mine almost my entire life. I don't really actually want to do any other career. I don't want to give up but sometimes I don't think I can make it. I don't know what the hell to do.
I need to ask one question my voice is too bad even it's not listenable if I'll sing so is my voice sound good if I'll do exercise of singing (sorry for bad English I'm from India so i only know Hindi)
I have a great tone and i can hear when im off pitch, but i find it so hard to find the correct notes. Ill know it sounds wrong and it just takes me so long to find the correct note, especially a starting note. Sometimes i have to get someone else to help me find the note, and even then, i find it so hard to remember how the note feels so its a cycle 💀
I can sing on pitch, that’s not a problem. But having a pleasant voice is hard. Not even my speaking voice is pleasant, and there are also certain words I can not say well, and it sounds even worse when I’m singing. I don’t know how to solve that problem.
i have a good sense of pitch and i have a vocal coach now. Before going to a vocal coach, i know my voice is high-pitch when i talk and when i sing, i like to sing ballad with high note, i have a soprano voice so it's easy for me and it's harder to me to go to low voice! My coach teached me if the piano note is high or low and i reproduce the sound, that helps me
You should observe one of the tongan, samoan, and new zealand , its a best to learn the notes and the tunes of their voice . Just an advice to help you out . Lol its awesome
And one thing about music it get me every thing I’m feeling I sing because it helps me even when I’m mad I sing I sing every morning I wake up for school I love singing

same I normally restrain my voice from going louder. Not only is it because I live in an apartment so I can’t sing loudly, but it’s also because singing loudly tends to hurt my ears.
I think a lot of people can relate to this. I hope somebody answers this question
Other aspects to remember:
A. Your internal muscles need to support your singing.
B. Don't constrict or force things, the clearest tones and loudest voices come most effortlessly. They come there by technique and practice, not by forcing things.
C. Your upper register muscle and your lower register muscle need training, too.
@@XGD5layer how to do that training?
Warm water, honey & lemon 🍋 🍯
*that awkward moment when the "bad singing" sounds better than anything I'm currently capable of*
Who else has that problem where you sound good in real life but when you record your singing you sound totally Ummmm idek😤🙃😂
🤣😭
Meee 😂
Me tooo
The most most most relatable comment ever........
It always happen with me...😢😢
Its because when you speak and hear yourself speak in real life, you hear your voice differently to your actual voice.
😂😂😂
The thing is I'm good at singing when I don't try so hard, like when I'm focused on something or I'm doing something I sing and I've heard ppl say I've got a good voice
then when I actually take the time watch a singing video that helps my singing and I try I'm bad ._.
I’m the same. Everytime I step infront of the mic I’m like FFS where has it gone!
@@RRADOMAL lmaoo exactlyyyy
Your are a really nice person , love your way of explaining 💕✨
Amazing singer Zane she have a beautiful voice Keep it up girl 👍
I’ve been in my school choir’s student since elementary school, Choir was always my favorite class, and I had the choir teacher in high school that taught me so much
Ik that Choir voice and natural singing voices are different in many ways, but I hope I can learn🩷
Really great video! This helped a ton!
Thank you so much for that! God bless you! ❤
Hell yaas , I’m so excited that you’re coming back,
I'm usually on pitch and my tone isn't bad either but I feel like my voice just needs to be stronger, more powerful and supported.
Thank you very much.
Your video is very informative. :)
I've always only had people tell me I suck, but never why or lie that I sound good, but not how.
:(
I don't have anyone anymore now. Other than my daughter who tells me I sound beautiful all the time. Haha
Very informative and good that you say positive criticism/critique should be taken. :)
Idk why but whenever i record myself it sounds so bad but in my head it sounds good-
👁👄👁
I have a video explaining that!!

"How To Be A Good Singer"
The video: "Don't sing bad and try this website"
K thx I guess
The problem is also to hit high notes and just get better at singing is by singing from your stomach, not ur throat.
The problem for me is I keep singing with my throat
Same
Same, but I think to fix that you can take a deep breath before singing.
@@HEEHEE661 ok thanks

SINGING COMES FROM UR EMOTIONS
LIKE IT SOMETIMES JUST COMES OT OF YOU THE WAY U LIKE IT AND IT SOUNDS REALLY GOOD
I love you😭😭😭😭thanks for this
Thanks very much for your great advice!
Thanks so much this is sooo encouraging🤓
I don’t know I'm a good singer or not but mostly in your channel you are so beautiful. I fall in 🥰🤧
Thankyou so much. I am a beginner to singing . I love singing everytime I am free.🙂
very nice approach and great state of mind, thank you !
Good vs underdeveloped!! I LIVE for that ❤
The one with the bad “tone” kinda reminded me of Brittany Spears 🫣
One thing that helped me accept my voice I hear in recordings is singing along with the recording.
Just listened to 2 podcasts of u Zane 😊really helpful - all about singing passion & you tube for beginners - like your style - wit - passion many thanks x will try a few hash tag tips ! ❤
Tama! Very well said, practice makes perfect and thats also what im doing
thank you for the tips! May God bless you ❤
I love this.
@@Hayden-d2p You can do it! I believe in you!
Your voice is amazing❤.
Can you please talk on how can a person sing in voice vibration, voice range and voice flexibility.
I just need to practice my vibrato more 😭
Thank you for the encouragement that anyone can sing well T-T
I have a question, what about a singing coach? How do we find one? Going through the lessons online won't help use figure out our issues if no one is there to help identify issues 😅
"Singing is a melodic way of speaking".. gold
I have zero knowledge of music ile i never learn music or took a class of it from kindergarten to college i even don’t know what the DO RE MI sounds like
So where should i start???
Does learning instruments (guitar)helps to know the keys and pitch???
I can do high note and sing vibrato but my vibrato isn't stable, when i have my singing lesson i understand why, i breath with my upper body whe i sing so i raise my soulder and i didn't see it before my coach pointed my bad habbit to singing andadvise me to breath with my belly! I did it and my vibrato sounds more stable, i was happy to see my improvement
When she showed that video of her straining her voice it made my throat hurt
ah i know how i can go in high note, i can do high note, i have soprano voice, but i can't do belting, neither run and riff, i can sing ballad with high note as a beginner but i don't try at all mariah carey etc as a beginner, i can't do that, i don't have the technique! And i sing with my head high voice that sounds sweet and i like it
Literally me, getting humiliated by everyone for poor singing skills at school, learning how to sing in the middle of the night 🙂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
One thing about singing is the spirit and mood also.
Im mostly curious on HOW do you develop your voice
I gotchu! (More videos coming soon to answer this)
Imagine innocently singing to yourself then your mum/dad walks in and says something demeaning about your voice. I was 7 years old. Ever since then I have lost power in my voice because I have had to sing quietly, like really quietly.
Yup. My mother was the one who was the worst.
Who is not a singer but still watching? 😂😂

Nice initiative ! Congratulations from India.
My coach teached me if the piano note is high or low and i reproduce the sound, that helps me
Good singing is talent wise
wow you're really good at this. and very pleasant asmr speaking voice too
You should observe one of the tongan, samoan, and new zealand , its a best to learn the notes and the tunes of their voice . Just an advice to help you out . Lol its awesome

my voice is bad even when just talking do I have hope💀

My problem has always been just my voice in general, I have a rly bad speaking voice so when I sing it just is horrible 😭
