Yes. Marc Lavoine's song, 'Elle a les yeux revolver' (She has eyes like a revolver) was a hit in France in 1985, when he was 23 years old. Thirty-two-year-old Gustine (Marine Juliette Gustine) showed the daring, the taste and the talent to sing Lavoine's song right in front of him (and for 26 seconds, behind him). And the two together, 'Quelle poésie!' (What poetry!) A magical moment.

It looked like George didn't even recognize his own song until 30 seconds after she started, then he started laughing at himself- "oh wait that's MY song!". LOL! That was a pretty awesome version of the song, especially when George dueted with her version and picked up on it!
I dont need to know French to know that was beautiful, my gooseybumps did that. Lovely and even more lovely🥰 when Marc got up to sing with her. Bravo👏🥰
*The first one was everything!!* She brought soul, uniqueness, sensitivity, and creativity to that song giving every ounce of her being to the performance. *The last one was everything!!* Again, soulful, unique, creative and such an unexpected treat for us and for Boy George! Loved it when he joined in. I'd buy both of those lady's recordings in a heartbeat.

The girl with the harp in France was pure perfection. You can feel the emotion in her voice and when the judge joined her it was...music to the ears. I could listen to that all day SO beautiful
I don’t know why no one is commenting on the John Legend cover because this man’s voice is completely anointed and absolutely beautiful. Even better than the original for sure.
Maybe because it's too similar with john himself, so we already heard it before, nothing unique and we already have john legend. But, you also might say: "what's better than a john legend?" "Two john legend"
As per the description of this video, the song is called “elle a les yeux revolver” originally by Marc Lavoine (singing in duet) and interpreted by Gustine
We need an unwritten rule : if the contestant is singing one of the coaches songs, they don’t get blocked. That person may have one opportunity to work with an artist they love in this platform, and it’s just a selfish move on the part of musicians who already have success.
Gustine, I rewound the video 6 times just to listen to your voice....and then in combination with the gentleman who sang with you...just as many times. You did a demonstrably phenomenal rendition of the song you and he sang together. I got goosebumps!
I watch videos of people's auditions because I love seeing their dreams come true, but this has to be a whole new level to have your song performed for you. I think that could feel really sweet. I love seeing it.
There's something really sweet in singing the coach songs, it really hits me on the France one. It's almost like an tribute or a battle cry for that coach to turn.
why is no one talking about how ballsy it is to sing one of the judges songs? 👀 you better be extremely confident before you get on that stage.. these were amazing
Boy George didn't even recognize his own song....too funny! The sound of the harp is so gorgeous! I used to play harp music for my kids to fall asleep to when they were little. So soothing and peaceful!
13:10; That was magic. It was like she made love to both his song and his soul at the same time. I don't know French, but I do know love. This was truly beautiful to watch. I hope it ends well as well.
The Elle a les yeux revolver- Marc Lavoine duet was stunning, I have to watch it three times. The lady's voice sent chills allover my body. That's real talent playing the harper so flawlessly.
These are fabulous! Boy George’s face is a picture when he realises it’s his song! Love the way she reimagined it, beautiful. Similarly with the Ozone song, so different. Love the John Legend one, Rita Ora one and the French song plus the duet is haunting. Isn’t it funny how the judges are so different - some jumping in after 2 or 3 notes and the British ones listening to nearly the whole song before giving in? 😊
La versión que hizo Vendulka - ‘Karma Chameleon’ 19:59 es sencillamente exquisita y única; a tal punto que Boy George ni siquiera se había dado cuenta que era su canción.
Wow! Boy George doing his song down tempo and bluesy was truly amazing. Loved him as Culture Club in the 80s (let's face it--he WAS Culture Club), but I definitely want to see him explore this bluesy side. So rich, yet a bit edgy and raw. LOVE it.
They were all great, but that last one was insane! So amazing! I've always loved Boy George and that was such a cool rendition of Karma Chameleon. Wow! She is so talented!
I was never a fan of Boy George. Ever. But that lady’s rendition of his song was beyond words. It was so original in its delivery, and clearly right in her wheelhouse! Kudos to Boy George for doing that duet!

The French girl was an absolute beaty to my ears. Hearing "Numa-Numa" sung like this was a delight as well.
How flattering. Actually heartwarming to see a tribute to one's own claim to fame. The French one made me tear up.
They are all wonderful, but Gustine's blew me away. The Harp is an amazing instrument, and their voice gave me chills, so soft and beautiful
Karma Chameleon was STUNNING. I've never ever heard that version before. I wonder if she composed it? I need to hear it again. Her voice is angelic.
Spotify has it!
It looked like George didn't even recognize his own song until 30 seconds after she started, then he started laughing at himself- "oh wait that's MY song!". LOL! That was a pretty awesome version of the song, especially when George dueted with her version and picked up on it!
Yes she did.
I loved it too!
I swear, I had to download the original one and the cover was better than it.
I dont need to know French to know that was beautiful, my gooseybumps did that. Lovely and even more lovely🥰 when Marc got up to sing with her. Bravo👏🥰
The adoration in Marc's eyes says it all. Loves they did a duet in the end
The french Song and the judge who sang with the girl made me cry, It was so emotional OMG
Wow the First Lady made the song her own now that’s called embodying the song & making it your own
3:28 Wow the first young man has amazing talented and skilled vocals wow.
11:43 He was touched he even went up to sing with her 🥹 That was such a beautiful scene a beautiful moment of life I shed a few tears 🥹
All of these contestants are so amazing. I want these covers on Spotify so I can put them on my playlist.
Truly goes to show that music is the universal language! I had no idea what some of the artists were even saying and I had goosebumps!!
I don’t speak French but the harp and their voices did it for me ❤
I love seeing the judges reaction when they realize "oh that's my song!", wonderful to see!
The french girl Gustine, she sang like an angel plus playing the harp ? It was heaven in my ears
The girl with the harp in France was pure perfection. You can feel the emotion in her voice and when the judge joined her it was...music to the ears. I could listen to that all day SO beautiful
Ariana was about to go crazy 😂
Yes
Yeah
Yeah
That French singer was AMAZING. She got the original up there with her.
I don’t know why no one is commenting on the John Legend cover because this man’s voice is completely anointed and absolutely beautiful. Even better than the original for sure.
EXACTLY
and Ariana's too
He did that song how it was supposed to be done!!!
i agree , he was outstanding . the only knock i could possibly think one could have is he sounded very similar to john .
Maybe because it's too similar with john himself, so we already heard it before, nothing unique and we already have john legend.
But, you also might say: "what's better than a john legend?"
"Two john legend"
I dont know the song but I loved the girl on the Harp singing in French, and I definitely liked the girl singing Boy George's song that was tight.
I search the original song, the lirycs are fantastic, (also the melody), love it
As per the description of this video, the song is called “elle a les yeux revolver” originally by Marc Lavoine (singing in duet) and interpreted by Gustine
@@didierjean2918 indeed, I search that song, the lirycs are awesome and was a hit in France
I can confirm it is a hit in France ! This song is older than me but I can sing it by heart :)
@@aureliebrassart5476 I grew up listening to that song…. It shows my age 😅
Man the french one with the harp made me cry emotionally. Never ugly cried that much in my life. Something so special about it.
We need an unwritten rule : if the contestant is singing one of the coaches songs, they don’t get blocked. That person may have one opportunity to work with an artist they love in this platform, and it’s just a selfish move on the part of musicians who already have success.
Yes!
Yep
Huh :P
Mhm!
@@KarrenLim-ik2lfyeah I am confused too but I don’t watch this show I just started watching this video.
8:41 is beautiful. It breaks my heart that only 2 judges pressed the button 😢
Gustine's rendition is the most beautiful thing I've heard! Gustine and Marc Lavoine singing together was amazing
It was magical.
Gustine, I rewound the video 6 times just to listen to your voice....and then in combination with the gentleman who sang with you...just as many times. You did a demonstrably phenomenal rendition of the song you and he sang together. I got goosebumps!
The gentleman that sang was Justine was actually the mark lavoine the author of the song she sang! Which made it all the more special
I watch videos of people's auditions because I love seeing their dreams come true, but this has to be a whole new level to have your song performed for you. I think that could feel really sweet. I love seeing it.
the first one gave me chills. Crazy how such a pure sound can come out of a human being.
I love how the artists are blown away by the different versions of their songs. Like they never thought of singing it that way.
There's something really sweet in singing the coach songs, it really hits me on the France one. It's almost like an tribute or a battle cry for that coach to turn.
The girl who sang dragostea din tei was born to sing it with the original singer. Their voices really complemented each other
DULCEA LIMBĂ ROMÂNĂ
why is no one talking about how ballsy it is to sing one of the judges songs? 👀 you better be extremely confident before you get on that stage.. these were amazing
You better nail it,too!
Nico's Play With Fire ... Gustine was amazing... Well Done All...❤❤❤
The Glory cover gave me legit goosebumps. Such a powerful song and voice.
Boy George didn't even recognize his own song....too funny! The sound of the harp is so gorgeous! I used to play harp music for my kids to fall asleep to when they were little. So soothing and peaceful!
Hi Candy 👋 Hi How’re you doing Today I hope you’re enjoying your day?😊
Gustine's performance is incredible, I'm French and if I knew the music, I didn't know this version, it touched me deeply, really beautiful.
13:10;
That was magic.
12:39 this is so beautiful! I could listen to them the whole day!
The French girl with the harp, man, she got me in tears 🥺 so angelical. Beautiful!
holy WOW. Nico Traut is absolutely something else. The emotion and passion is on another level that gave me so many goosebumps. OOF
8:57 "and youuuu JENNIFER youre gonna love meeeeee" i was DYING but he is soooo talented wtff
12:31 when they were dueting, it felt like heaven.
Woooo that first woman can blow. She can hit the high notes softly and belt like nobodies business whooo chilllleeeee
The first one is on fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 had goosebumps while watching her sing
The french one was my favorite until I listened the " dragostea din tei" 😱😱 OMG what a wonderful voice 😍😍
Beautiful voice. Haunting.
La versión que hizo Vendulka - ‘Karma Chameleon’ 19:59 es sencillamente exquisita y única; a tal punto que Boy George ni siquiera se había dado cuenta que era su canción.
I've never heard the French song before and my God it's sooo Angelic, I love it🥹
best bit of Nico's performance was Nico's reaction and all the jostling that went on to get him on their team
Wow! Boy George doing his song down tempo and bluesy was truly amazing. Loved him as Culture Club in the 80s (let's face it--he WAS Culture Club), but I definitely want to see him explore this bluesy side. So rich, yet a bit edgy and raw. LOVE it.
When I read all the comments, I think that her performance was underestimated.
Try to find the unedited version. He tells her that she did what he'd tried, but not been able to achieve with that song.
The harp one gave me goosebumps and made me cry, it was so beautiful and ethereal.
3rd one was hands down the best in my opinion, and you just felt each word in your bones
The French singer had me crying with that compilation. So beautiful.
I got goosebumps, tears and a whole lot of emotions I've never felt before 💕💕💕 Mad respect for you all
I love how Jennifer waited for the end and wanted to hear if he's able to sing even the hardest part of her song ❤️
Marc Lavoine and Gustine impromptu duet was magnificent ❤
