Civil engineers work on a variety of different projects that include planning, building, and maintaining roads, buildings, bridges, and water systems, while architects work primarily with houses, factories, and similar structures. Civil engineers and architects do, however, work together on some projects. They both visit construction sites to ensure work is being completed correctly and in the given time frame. Civil engineers and architects both estimate costs and create plans based on the projected budget. While civil engineers decide on the materials used to ensure a safe structure, architects highlight the design aspect of the project.
Architect
Architects design various buildings and structures that include office buildings and houses. They can work on projects as small as rooms in a building to designing the entire building. They must have experience with computer software such as CADD to create scaled drawings to provide plans to workers. Architects must have great creativity and vision to ensure the project looks attractive to clients. They are also responsible for taking care of many parts of the project, so they must be very organized to keep track of all aspects of the architectural development. Architects with extensive experience can advance into higher-level supervisory roles as architectural managers
Job responsibilities of an architect include:
Organizing structure specifications
Estimating budget and time
Creating drawings and plans
Presenting plans to clients
Developing contracts
Civil Engineer
Civil engineers are responsible for overseeing and designing roads, bridges, water systems, buildings, and dams, among other structures. Civil engineers spend the majority of their time in an office designing and planning projects, though they do visit construction sites to oversee the work being completed. Civil engineers work with complicated designs where a background in math, as well as skills in problem-solving, can aid in finding solutions to issues that may arise with the development of projects.
Job responsibilities of a civil engineer include:
Testing building materials
Following regulations and considering possible project hazards
Performing surveying operations
Supervising maintenance of infrastructures
Using design programs for projects

You missed a lot of points. Architects deals with design than engineers. Engineers works with architects in structural design for complicated structures, high rises etc. Architects do a lot more things what is said in this video. Some of the things are user analysis - to make buildings more user specific based on experiments and studies, activity-space relation, etc. We design buildings with respect to micro climate for achieving ample lighting and ventilation, by learning the wind direction of each location, sun path study, light and shadow study etc. To make more energy efficient spaces. We learn about design and it's psychological impacts on people, kids, physically/mentally challenged like colours and different shapes. We research on materials, we learn about environmental impacts of buildings. We do market study, feasibility study, economic study, footfall analysis, customer acquisition strategies etc. while designing commercial projects and public infrastructure, We do project management, time management, working drawings, sanction drawings, shop drawings. We do lighting, furniture and landscape design. We do urban/rural design and placemeking to improve wellbeing among communities, to improve tourism, to provide more job opportunities. We do more than just buildings, which this comment section is not sufficient for. We basically do things based on research and logical analysis yet nobody hire us.
Why do you think architecture is a 5 year course and engineering is 4 years?
Civil engineer =Bones, muscles, Nerves, veins, eyes, nose, mouth every thing as created life by god.

Stop giving wrong information, I know both have their own importance. But civil engineers have nothing to do with design. A building is designed by Architect and the structural details are designed collaboration with structural engineers and once it’s finalised the set of drawings are handed over to civil Engineers who carry forward the work on site. India 🇮🇳 needs to know this. Jai Hind!
These people don't have any idea about how the field works. We have to sit and explain every time we meet a prospective client about what we do. And this misguidance with all these false information adds so much pain and time wastage for us.
But architects only construct buildings and nothing else. civil engineers construct every constfuctions like buildings, dams, bridges, roads etc ok. Mind it
@@aroy914 no we don't construct anything. We design everything in coordination with all other experts. All structures need architects, Structural and all other specialized engineers for its design.

I am an architect and by brother is an civil engineer i am designing,making spaces comfortable for all types of people ( blind, handicapped,etc) whereas my brother looks after the structure and estimation.. both civil and architect make the building from lvl+0.spread some positive vibes.

No, for architecture you have to do B.Arch course. and for Civil Engineering you have to do B.Tech course. both are different in terms of course. But if you love designing and creating the space and having good knowledge of the Functional part of the planning then you can simply make an Architectural Drawings and sign it (signature) from an Architect. You just have to pay less amount for signature. means Design is yours and signed by an Architect. (Its the best alternative way if you want to design a building)
