This is the first Chet song I learned some years ago. There's quite a few different version of Chet doing this one throughout his lifetime here on RUclips. I stole various licks from a number of those performances (as Chet would say, "petty theft!") and borrowed the opening and closing from the version Steve Wariner plays in concert.
Windy and Warm was most notably released in 1962 on his record, "Down Home," though Chet did record and release a version a short time earlier as a single which didn't receive much success.

Been fingerpicking Chet tunes for 40 years, and can say Katelyn plays BEAUTIFULLY.

Hi Katelyn. Saw U last nite on "Woodsongs". I too was a "Windy and Warm" fan
and learned how to pik it after a LONG time. You are very good and I liked "After Youve gone" too.
Merle did it on one of his albums also. A fine tune to play altho I didnt do to well with it.
I'll see You in My Dreams was my favorite Travis tune.
