In with the new, but first we have to get the old ready for sale. AC repair and new expansion tank.

  • My customer TOMEK just purchased his new 2018 Freightliner Cascadia with a DD15 engine, DT12 automatic transmission with just over 400K miles. But first he wants us to get his 2009 Freightliner Cascadia ready for sale.
We have a small AC leak on the passenger side and we are going to replace the expansion tank. Unfortunately the AC leak is at a point where it has to be replaced and not repaired so this means the complete HVAC cassette has to be replaced.
Just found out the truck was recently sold.

Experience of knowing your craft - checked for leaks in a common area to have them and sure enough there was one . 👏🙌

What a shame what politicians can do to our industry, they can predict what we can drive, when we can work, shameful!!!

I agree. Perfectly good working truck with plenty of life has to be sold.

I recommend to have someone come and inspect it first before purchasing. What year? How many miles.?

@@Handlehandlebars buy something you can get a good extended warranty on.
With after treatment getting so expensive, automatic transmissions and clutches also get expensive.
Try looking into Penske, Swift and similar. They typically take care of their trucks and in some cases still have a warranty from the factory (depending on year and mileage).
