I just quit my job of 25 years with them. I was a part of the team that closed these locations. Most of the time we were only given 24 hours to clear everything that was reusable at another nearby location and abandon everything else. I was a tech. I spent 25 years keeping these stores running. The show, kitchen, gameroom, and cash areas working. To see it all torn down and discarded broke my heart. I lost a part of my soul doing these shutdowns and I'm glad I took the chance to move on. Thanks for the video, wallie! Super awesome find and exploration! As a former cec employee in the past, cec has had many financial issues long before this virus. I remember my hours would always get cut while working there, and they have always been finding ways to reorganize the company to make it more profitable. Also, this looks to be like an old showbiz pizza place, with the old rock a fire explosion animatronic band before it was changed to chuck e cheese
I had that same problem with loss of hours working for Sears. Even went a week at a time with no hours even when two main trucks still had decent sized loads. One was appliances and large items, other was fashions and smaller items with at first over 2000 pieces per truck. Black Friday sales the store I was at would have two appliance trucks arrive at same time a few diff times. One full and other up too half full with with huge part being customer orders on first one. Got too the the point when I walked (some knew I was pissed and burnt for final time) the main truck was barely a quarter of the trailer. It was that sad as store always had good foot traffic. Even though air conditioning broke down a lot (on back up system as main systems compressor was long seized up) and heat did not work right either. Also had internal flood year before I left due too burst water main
A giant rat goes around the building hugging the children. The building smells like feet. The door is secure so no kids can escape so almost no parents watch their kids. It’s lovely

That's really cool getting to see it kind of behind-the-scenes look in the Chuck-E-Cheese I remember going to one in Columbus Ohio back in the early 80s and I always love going in the king room and listening and watching to the king sing That is a shame where people go in trash stuff like that that's just like I used to love walking around taking pictures of the old Reid Hospital that used to be in Richmond Indiana and that place had such a wonderful history behind it and it was really truly Daniel Reed's Legacy and then kids had to go in there and it was just like a bomb went off because before some rims that look like they just clocked out and went home for the day and paperwork was still in the desk and then two years after that it was like a tornado went through the building and that really is a sad that's what gives Urban explorers a bad reputation

Wow Interesting video Wallie!! I never knew it closed due to the pandemic, but I also knew it had bankruptcy. I enjoyed going to Chuck E Cheese when I was a kid. I even remember going to the ticket counter and it counted all of the tickets I received. My favorite arcade game was likely ski ball. The nearest one to Hermitage,PA was Niles, Ohio near the Eastwood Mall near the former Super Kmart.
Thank you for being so respectful of these places. I know it can seem tempting to want to take something. Maybe as a souvenir. But these things need to stay where they lie. Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints, the greatest of sayings for urban exploring.
Vandals disappoint me, imagine how cool it would be to have an abandoned Chuck E. Cheese's as a hang out spot, no destroying, no making a mess, hell maybe even tidy it up a bit.
Nerd here. So from what I can see most of the vandalism is mostly where the counter was and parts of the kitchen. All the arcade games and anything else in the store was smashed up and destroyed when it closed back in June. The spray paint most likely is from Corp after it closed to "de-brand" items in the restaurant. I've heard stories from other store closings of flooding the kitchen or damaging the property.
From the looks of it, they are probably going to tear this building down. I don’t think it was vandalized at all. Just the franchise owner or corporate got everything that was useful or valuable out and did it fast. It’s listed for sale but I noticed in the video the electrical panels are completely gutted, the games in this place are old, damaged. I seen the ticket munchers in the back look like they been cannibalize since they only use E-tickets now, no point in moving them to another location, they just leave the junk/ trash in that building and have the demolition contractors toss it when the building comes down.
@@ForkLiftCertified They literally never cause that much damage to a wall during closing. Along with all the bottles found near it clearly show that was vandalism
@@KC8EWU Nope stop ignoring what I said. When a store closes CEC rippes out game parts and other items for usage at other stores. They left the shells because they were to lazy to actually remove them.

I never knew there were locations that were as small as this one. I grew up going to the one in burnaby BC and that place is huge. Multiple levels, party rooms all over the place and alot of space and machines. I suppose they just got lucky and found a good spot to open a location. I'm still shocked at how many places I grew up going to have been shut down permanently due to covid
I did competitive programming at Lockheed from 2017-19 when I was in HS and our teams stayed at the Comfort Inn right across the street. Never went in, but from the entrance we were able to look out all the way down the parking lot to see this place open, and with barely any cars there. I remember there was some place called the "Flight Deck" entertainment center right next to the hotel, along with Toys R Us. Six years later, all three of those are closed and have been replaced by much more boring and industrial businesses. It's probably for the best that they're not abandoned anymore, though. It's better than them being vandalized like we see in this video. I have no memories with CEC because my childhood was spent at Gatti's and Incredible Pizza Co, but it is disappointing to see not just how these places look when closed but what the ones that are still open have become - bland and lifeless, and lacking much of what originally made them special because of the constant race to the bottom when it comes to costs. They are pretty much kids' casinos instead of lifestyle spaces and places to compete on actual games. Round1 is the only chain left that I think still captures some of that. It's the only place where I think I could spend 12+ hours straight on $100 in credit.

I’ve never been in a chucky cheese but I appreciate your care and utmost love for the building. Hello from the UK! 🇬🇧
A giant rat goes around the building hugging the children. The building smells like feet. The door is secure so no kids can escape so almost no parents watch their kids. It’s lovely
Same, there’s none in the UK so we’ve never appreciated how fun yet creepy these places would have been. I’m also glad there being respectful there’s no need to have been done what was done to this location.
its so uncanny knowing that kids were there having a good time and now its just this abandoned eerie place. I could imagine going there as a kid for my brithday or something, im glad you guys went and took a video of this place.
Well this was a shock! I loved how they left the costume storage rack on the floor
I worked at that CEC. Its gone now, huh
Worked in the late 90s during and shortly after high school. White settlement has gone downhill. I share your hope it gets a commercial rebound somehow.
I remember when that area had Kmart Walmart and Target all really close to each other
That’s kinda cool in a way
That's really cool getting to see it kind of behind-the-scenes look in the Chuck-E-Cheese I remember going to one in Columbus Ohio back in the early 80s and I always love going in the king room and listening and watching to the king sing
That is a shame where people go in trash stuff like that that's just like I used to love walking around taking pictures of the old Reid Hospital that used to be in Richmond Indiana and that place had such a wonderful history behind it and it was really truly Daniel Reed's Legacy and then kids had to go in there and it was just like a bomb went off because before some rims that look like they just clocked out and went home for the day and paperwork was still in the desk and then two years after that it was like a tornado went through the building and that really is a sad that's what gives Urban explorers a bad reputation
It does which is truly sickening. I love the documentations Wallie, Richard, Nate and others do. Except Proper People do not care for the cussing.

Had plenty of parties at this location for all my grandkids. It's a shame to see people go in and vandalize a building.
@@ChuckEEntertainment also one spot spray painted. No reason at all for doing that except stupidity.
@@ForkLiftCertified panels being gutted possibly may have been copper thieves, hopefully not though.
@@KC8EWU Nope stop ignoring what I said. When a store closes CEC rippes out game parts and other items for usage at other stores. They left the shells because they were to lazy to actually remove them.

I went to a Chuck E. Cheese for the first time in 10 plus years with my nephew and I hate the new card system I miss old school tokens and tickets and the ticket muncher gave me a rush of nostalgia in this video
Most are like this actually
Wait, That’s The White Settlement Location, Notable For The First Location To Receive A 2-Stage On March 26, 1992; Used To Be A Former Showbiz Pizza Place.
EAS SEC I’m not sure if the white settlement location is in Texas
🎶Freddy Fazbears Pizzaaa🎶
I think that location initially had its' Rockafire Explosion show swapped out for a Rocker Stage, which in turn the 2-stage setup replaced in 1992.
@@ZakWolf they took the Rockafire Explosion out of this location in 1985. And replaced it when this location reopened in 1987 with the CEC rocker stage.
@Cyberstar Virginia excuse me? Check your self before you try something
I wonder if the vandals stole most of the arcade games here.
The ones left would have been broken more then likely and unable too be sent back. Sad as someone handy possibly could have fixed them.
They take the equipment to corporate headquarters to use at other locations stuff not woth using gets scrapped.
But all of the other things like anamatroics get thrown to the trash and if your fast you can get them.
