Abstracted realism is my absolute favorite. Your painting is beautiful, Karen. If I could have clicked the "Like" button 10 times (or more!), I would have done so. So happy I found your channel.
Such a unique, amazing idea, to hve two paintings in one!!!!! I would keep both possibilities and turning it according to the mood of the day, because they are both so awsome, yet each one on its own unique way!
I only saw two of your videos and immediately subscribed. This is very out of my habit when I decided to subscribe, I thank you for your teachings and detailed views to produce very good paintings. amazing 👍👍👍
What a treasure you are! Thank you for the creative nudge to get away from judging and just enjoy color and playing with techniques. You help me access the playful muse.
I totally agree Bev, painting into puddles and spraying and tilting, doesn't get better, because you never know what you are going to get and that's what make it interesting and exciting! Thank you! :)
Thank you for your lovely comment! I’m so pleased you enjoyed this tutorial. If you would like to access more exclusive and in-depth tutorials why not think about joining my Patreon membership. www.patreon.com/karenriceart
Thanks Karen. You are wonderful. Very inspiring. I'm new to this and have just done my first work using palette knife and plastic card. I appreciate your videos very much. Thanks again.
Hi Karen! I love all these abstract paintings you've done. I am quite addicted to it now. Thank you for all your tutorials. You are an awesome teacher!
I absolutely love this painting, the light shining through is magical and there is just enough structure to let the viewer know what they are seeing before them and there is just so much atmosphere whichever way up it is viewed. This is 100% my kind of abstract I love it xx
Thank you so much Rita, what a wonderful comment! I was so delighted with the light, you never know if it's going to quite work out! I was delighted with the atmosphere and also felt it looked better when it dried which ever way you view it! Thanks so much again! :)
I absolutely love it! I’m looking forward to give it a try. Karen, I’ve been watching and learning from your tutorials for a short few months. I can’t tell you what pleasure I get now from painting. I paint every day, and if given the opportunity would quit my job to paint full time. Not there yet but maybe one day! Thank you so much 🥰
Thank you so much Cindy, really pleased you are learning from my tutorials! Yay! I am also delighted you are painting everyday! Well done you! I hope that the day you can quit your job to paint full time comes soon!
Thanks for recommending this, Karen. I got the notification. I did get a palette knife kit but haven't used them except to mix paint so far. Your tutorials are so informative!👍

Greetings to you all the way to Australia! Thank you for your great message. That's wonderful that you have started watercolour and that you are addicted, easily done! Sorry for the colours being unclear. I have used the colours in the M Graham Desert Southwest Set which is why I put the Amazon link in the description. I have updated the description to give you the full list of colours! Hope that was helpful. So glad you like my teaching! Take care :)
