Super 7 announced they’re coming out with o-ring figures in the fall of 2024! They said they’ll be making characters from the both Sunbow and Dic cartoons and the comics🎉🎉🎉 Very excited about that. I hope that includes the movie. Would love to get “Once-a-man” Commander that’s reasonably priced. Great review. Can’t wait to get mine. Want to see him next to the Megatron fig.
That 80’s Walkman cameo @6:44 was perfect!! Lol!! 🤣😂 I remember when the ‘auto-reverse’ function came out…blew my mind!! 🤯🤯 Great vid…thanks for sharing!
Fine details aside, the Thunder Machine looks as good as the original, and the Soundwave Transformer also looks like the one my brother had as a kid. Kudos to the engineers who designed this. A lot of cleverness went into making this one apparatus into two totally distinct and viable toys in their own right. I wonder how long it took them to figure out the design. Impressive.
It's not actually. Masterpiece Ravage has a totally different transformation. I'm surprised they didn't use the masterpiece Ravage and went with something new instead.

i am like the only person that was never into Transformers, they came out when i was a kid and all my friends went crazy for them and i ended up getting Soundwave just because all my friends had Transformers. and i chose Soundwave because i was just discovering and getting into music at the time and i had one of those little portable tape recorders i took everywhere with me and thats what Soundwave reminded me of, it is the only Transformer i ever had and unlike most of my old toys i have zero idea what ever happened to it. i also am not particularly interested in O ring Joes anymore and really love the modern build Joes which they also no longer are making. BUT this set did the one possible thing that could make me buy a Transformer or a new O ring Joe especially for a hundred effing dollars, they chose Zarana. gahdamnit! i have a thing for the Zarana figure, and i dont know why. i will NEVER buy a 6" figure and they tried to trick me there by making Zarana but i have zero interest. but they suckered me in by making a new O ring Zarana with just a slightly different mold. i guess it is cool that if i have to own a Transformer now it is literally the same one as the only one i have ever owned before.
I got mine on Thursday. I really like it for display purposes. I grew up in the ARAH and Transformers heyday that being said,at my age now,its about the fun of displaying it not playing in the dirt with it so whether or not it functions perfectly or is 100% true to the vintage stuff is not my main concern. The fact i can look at it in my display case and smile is worth the money i paid for it. Haters gonna hate. I love it.
I utterly adore these crossovers. G.I. Joe Transformers have been something I wanted for so long ever since I became a fan of both series, so if I find this dude under $200 AUD I'm deffo gonna pick it up to go with my HISS Megatron.
If I could take some toys back to my 9 year old self, it would be the Joe/transformer crossover toys. I used to dream about Transformers that could fit Joe/Cobra figures, and now there are what- THREE of them?
I think the next set is Sgt. Slaughters Triple T. I still prefer the original on both of these figures. I still want to grab both, especially Zartan who is hard to find in good condition. Also a shame they removed UV color change on both figures, but that's the least of my complaints with these new releases. I'm a huge Transformers collector but I'm not into these crossovers at all. I'm glad there are people into them as it seems to be filling a hole for a lot of fans. I still prefer the original colors and look of the Thundermachine. This new one just looks a little too Fisher-Price colors for me. Overall though it's a pretty good set and definitely the best of the 3 crossover sets so far IMO.
Warpath using of them Joe tanks (MOBAT) would be nice, and Powerglide(a10), Jetfire (Night Raven), Blitzwing(as MOBAT and then a Russian plane or F4 Fantom) disguise as a Cobra plane in alt mode - gives a real meaning to "Robots in disguise". They already did a Starscream using a Joe F4 planes, wish that thing transformed. Would be nice if they revisited this where in bot mode the red queues show up, and in plane mode, the grey colors show up. A lot of people felt Bumblebee as an Awe Striker just did not make sense. Hasbro elected Bumble bee as an Awe Striker because BB is a commodity in retail. BB is a name or next in line to the face of OP. Beachcomber was more appropriate to the alt mode scale be damned. These designers at Hasbro really lack imagination. Bruticus using all military alt modes is a gold mine. Here's the thing, Hasbro and live action movies are pushing Gi Joe/Transformers crossover, these ideas are awesome in my opinion.

The Only Reason I'll Ever Buy This Is For Soundwave And Ravage Since I Really Don't Care For The Dreadnoks Nor The Thunder Machine I Would Have Made Soundwave Something More Logical Like The Cobra Stinger With Firefly It Would Just Make More Sense For Soundwaves Character.
Yeah the thunder machine feels like a random choice. Maybe it was to get the dreadnoks into the line? Stinger and Firefly, sign me up! Firefly has always been a favorite.

It’s pretty disappointing that Hasbro quality is worse on the new figures than the old ones, those forearms are disgusting.
