Instead of the terror drone I wanted hasbro to to make a cobra submarine. Had a family member who worked for hasbro and mentioned it. Don’t think she had any pull
The line lost me when they started to veer away from "boots on the ground" military with all the weird monsters and crap. I grew up in a military family (Dad was enlisted crew of the Blue Angels), so everything related to the military fascinated me. GI Joe wasn't where I wanted to see monsters and whatnot. A few years after walking away from the line, I got into playing the first Command and Conquer. In my opinion, alot of stuff from that game would have made for good GI Joe toys. The GDI Mammoth Tank, Orca attack aircraft, NOD Stealth Tank, NOD Buggy, and for a massive playset, the Temple of NOD. Hell, Kain, the leader of the Brotherhood of NOD, seemed like he belonged in Cobra already.
"The line lost me when they started to veer away from "boots on the ground" military with all the weird monsters and crap." Sheesh, for a diehard G.I.Joe fan, you're a real Military propaganda-only addict, get a life lmao.
Ngl, I am kinda bummed that the unproduced GI Joe toy lines from the Battle Corps-to-Star Brigade and the Extreme themes weren't made since besides my 3 favorite guilty pleasures of G.I. Joe like Spy Troops,Sigma 6, and the 2 Bay movies, I actually found the Battle Corps-to-Star Brigade and Extreme G.I. Joe lines enjoyable than the original G.I. Joe that the elitists only cared for and nothing else for 3 reasons. 1. I was always a sucker for Armored Suits,Monsters, and Mechs in my youth 2. I have always had respect for the 90's and 2000's along with the early 2010's alot more than the 60's,70's, and 80's combined (*Deal with it, old geezer original G.I. Joe military fans who read this comment XD lol.) and 3. I also always never liked the original Barbie doll-sized G.I.Joe Military theme's popularity that much to begin with except for it's Kung Fu Grip game I use to play on Monkey Bar TV back then, it's so 60's lmao.
Now look 👀 Kenner Toy 🧸 Company should released Black Dragon figure Mayday figure and even the bad guys like Wreckage figure and Inferno figure as a Mail away Order exclusive figures details in every park packages of any G.I Joe Extreme toys 🧸 from Kenner!
they should have done rocky anyway not like stallone would have thrown out money (unless you count his marriage to bridgette nelson) sgt slaughter drove me away as I felt like he was yelling at me all the time so they lost the mold to the old hq? that happen with snake eyes V2too? as he should have been reissued at some point instead of V3 and they could have bought an old one off ebay and do what mattel did with motu or maybe make it like an office playset theres also a band named manowar and they are cooler you should give them a listen also the other problem was no cohessive narritive between the cartoon and the comics they also could have reissued the whale and called it the ex wife
Although this video was long, it wasn't bad! However, I was disappointed with this video not spending more time on Joe-characters and vehicles both before and beyond the 1980s. For example, I would have liked to see something on Robojoe, and I thought he was going to be mentioned after the Star Brigade review. I was also disappointed with the mention of Joe-Extreme and Mayday without Sergeant Savage. My last disappointment with this video is the lack of not mentioning Atomic Man, Bullethead, and/or Garrison Kreiger.
Ah, I remember Sgt. Savage. I never had the toys but I did enjoy watching that VHS Adventure of him and his Screaming Eagles that I thought was cool on YT tho' lol. Too bad that the G.I. Joe fandom however who's stuck on either the 60's or 80's never had the appreciation of it as I did with both Sgt. Savage and G.I. Joe Extreme since I'm a half 90's half 2000's kid after all lol.
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002 , do you know that Sergeant Savage is Hasbro's version of Marvel's Captain America? In comics, Savage was put into stasis during WWII. And I knew the name GI Joe so if I would have seen them fight dinosaurs, monsters or aliens I would have been ecstatic, why wouldn't I want to see the army fight monsters. Even when it comes to collecting now I only collect Cobra and any of the ninjas because it's more interesting than the usual Joe. And after being in the military for a decade yeah I would rather see cool crazy stuff over stuff I see at work.
Thank you for this great video ! It's brings me so much memory about all these great toys that my friend and I had . Especially the gigantic GI JOES's carrier , we had to play betwin 2 rooms in a large hall 😅 !
looks to me that the Cobra sub was reused and made as the GI Joe Baracuda sub
1993 was the second highest selling year for ARAH? do you have a source for each year's sales?
20:10 that looks more, to me, like a Terminator vehicle from Terminator 3+
Wait did I hear that right? Sgt. CD-ROM? Hahaha.
you could just 3d print them today...wish i had a 3d printer
Rowdy Roddy Piper
Dude, watching this makes me regret selling my Joe's. I fell on hard times, so I had to sell them. I miss the O-ring joes. The sculpts just didn't have the same feel to me...but in hindsight, the sculpt joes are pretty good. I miss 3.75" scale.
"The line lost me when they started to veer away from "boots on the ground" military with all the weird monsters and crap."
Sheesh, for a diehard G.I.Joe fan, you're a real Military propaganda-only addict, get a life lmao.
GI JOE Extreme Harpoon and Black Dragon were released, albeit in lower production numbers.
Thanks for sharing this is enjoyable
Wow
Is this star wars or gijoe????
Why not both? Why not Zoidberg?
They need to bring back the 3.75 inch figure and vehicles not the 6 or 8 inch figures
13:25 Sgt.Slaughter??
I thought rambo was part of kenner
Ngl, I am kinda bummed that the unproduced GI Joe toy lines from the Battle Corps-to-Star Brigade and the Extreme themes weren't made since besides my 3 favorite guilty pleasures of G.I. Joe like Spy Troops,Sigma 6, and the 2 Bay movies, I actually found the Battle Corps-to-Star Brigade and Extreme G.I. Joe lines enjoyable than the original G.I. Joe that the elitists only cared for and nothing else for 3 reasons.
1. I was always a sucker for Armored Suits,Monsters, and Mechs in my youth
2. I have always had respect for the 90's and 2000's along with the early 2010's alot more than the 60's,70's, and 80's combined (*Deal with it, old geezer original G.I. Joe military fans who read this comment XD lol.)
and
3. I also always never liked the original Barbie doll-sized G.I.Joe Military theme's popularity that much to begin with except for it's Kung Fu Grip game I use to play on Monkey Bar TV back then, it's so 60's lmao.
GIJOE could have been ExoSquad. lol...
You gotta do transformers next
Now look 👀 Kenner Toy 🧸 Company should released Black Dragon figure Mayday figure and even the bad guys like Wreckage figure and Inferno figure as a Mail away Order exclusive figures details in every park packages of any G.I Joe Extreme toys 🧸 from Kenner!
What could of been.
they should have done rocky anyway not like stallone would have thrown out money (unless you count his marriage to bridgette nelson) sgt slaughter drove me away as I felt like he was yelling at me all the time
so they lost the mold to the old hq? that happen with snake eyes V2too? as he should have been reissued at some point instead of V3 and they could have bought an old one off ebay and do what mattel did with motu or maybe make it like an office playset
theres also a band named manowar and they are cooler you should give them a listen
also the other problem was no cohessive narritive between the cartoon and the comics
they also could have reissued the whale and called it the ex wife
Did the Mamba ever come out? I remember seeing that
GI Joe had a wierd aircraft, weapon that was like a small 1 man helicopter. Not quite a Cobra Fang 🚁 but it had air to air missiles, guns.
Yes, the Mamba was released.
13:26 is that muskrat or the sexual tyrannosaurus Jesse Ventura
Miss when Hasbro had a pair of balls and pushed creativity. Nowadays it's all retro regurgitation.
These G.I. JOE toy should have been released in the in the first place. 😀👍
Star Duster*
After he was released in the present, he fought alongside the Joes plus UK's Action Man. The only thing I'm unsure of, is if Savage has abilities like Marvel's Captain America.
@@seanholmes7482 I mean, I usually grew up with Hulk,Spider-Man, and Wolverine more than Captain America but yeah I suppose so but I wasn't upset over that because tbh I think I prefer Sgt. Savage over him anyday XD lol.
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002 , does it baffle you why out of all the Joes Paramount and Hasbro select to make movies out of, this guy Savage is always left out of it? Also, do you know about Joe-characters like Atomic Man, Bulletman, Kreiger Garrison, and Robojoe?
@@seanholmes7482 I mean, I still enjoyed those movies as my guilty pleasures but true that when Sgt. Savage was left out since I think he was a cool guy as well, also never heard of those four Joe characters, sorry.
The armored transport is the only decent thing there. Much of the concept art looks far superior to what became inferior products, or they were simply just inferior designs to begin with that just stayed inferior. Plus 90% look like third party toy lines, which Hasbro was purchasing at the end of ARAHs run.
I don't know how Bench press's G.I.Joe would've been, but since Larry was involved, it would've been far bettter than Devils dues catastrophie of a comic book run! Those f**kers had the liscense, and we let them have it, shame!
And with the legendary Ron Lim on art?? Oh man.
