Rest In Peace. Your voice and elegance will be remembered. From sweet Sybil Vane to Dear Mrs. Potts, you shall be remembered dear angel. Goodbye little yellow bird.
There was always a kindness about her that would shine through. A classy lady that brought much joy to generations in her long career. The world is a dimmer version now without her, but heaven has added a new bright light!
I like to think that it was one of her favorites. She used to say that she didn't have a favorite episode, because there were so many -- but I'm sure she enjoyed this one very much.
What an amazing actress and performer she was. I loved her in Mrs Santa Claus 💕💕💕💕 her singing was top , but her stage presence and performance was absolutely mesmerizing ❤❤❤❤❤ Captured all the attention
such a contrast between how the experienced and dare i say: cougerish emma and the timid downtrodden flower sibyl vane are singing the same song...mind you, landsbury was over twice the age she was when she acted in dorian gray but thats the grace she had as an actress: she knew that she had to play a far older, far more confidant woman then when she first sang this tune and she just knew how to channel the correct aged energy into it...there are many actors i can think of now: will smith, for example: who could never sing the whole "west philidelphia born and raised" song at landsbury's age in this perfomance without 90's will trying to jump out of the larynx as a much older man sings the tune.. it also takes alot of courage from an actor and especially an actress in that day and time to admit she aged and must now do the same part she did in her twenties with the right carriage...i wonder if she was reflecting on the message of dorian gray at that moment,as she tried to apply the fact that anyone trying to remain young will always find a doom of a terrible kind in the process... either way,she did it as briliantly in a her purple pink daliance dress as she did covered in bed feathers 40 years earlier and to that is say: angela, youv done it again.
Dame Angela Lansbury RIP, lady who did so much for the industry, brought our childhoods to life and made us all wonder..who did it? Personal idol of mine ❤️
I read that they offered jessica fletcher role to jean stapleton. Dont get me wrong i love mrs stapleton but mrs lansbury put the curious, warm, smart, and elegant touch to her character. How many people know that a murder always happened wherever she showed up?? ❤🤣❤🤣

She had it and never lost it.
Thank you for being Sybil and Emma. And mostly for being....and being Angela!

She must have had a blast doing this episode
I like to think that it was one of her favorites. She used to say that she didn't have a favorite episode, because there were so many -- but I'm sure she enjoyed this one very much.
She also sings this song in "The Picture of Dorian Gray" 1945.
That's what makes this so great!
Great movie! She was 20 then, 60 in this episode. My favorite actress of all time.
I love this song, She sang it so beautifully then, and again in Murder, She Wrote, one of my all time favorite shows.
Rest in peace 💓
Homage to herself! She took one of her most serious roles and gave it to us in camp theatre
She has such a wonderful voice

She’s a national treasure!
Guess you could say she's the new Betty White, in a way.
A national treasure for England or America?
Yes ! & Yes !
Rest in Peace. Soar on Eagles Wings. Going to miss you Aunt Jess. ❤️
OMG! She should’ve had records out back then! What an awesome and brilliant voice! I’m such a fan of her!
She won a gold record for the original cast album of Mame. And there's a cast album for Sweeney Todd.
Angela Lansbury was really a personality, young or old. She was wonderful to behold. Thank you, Angela!
So talented and spectacular she was 💜 Goodbye, Angela Lansbury, our Little Yellow Bird 💜

The quality of the camera here is better than today's.
And Glynis Johns, as the maid - classy
The world was a better place with her in it! R.I.P.
A truly classic show!
happy belated birthday to you Angela
RIP Angela ❤️❤️
Thanks and Rest in Peace ............. We love You!
I remember Angela singing this as a teenage barmaid in Story of Dorian Grey
Way back in 50s. She gets murdered by main character. 😮
It's really too bad that an official soundtrack for Murder, She Wrote was never released.
So true
Rest In Peace 😥
Happy Birthday Ms. Angela Lansbury
So many "Easter Eggs" in this episode!!
Love the punk rockers!
I love how they sing along with her. Just shows how she was loved across the generations.
