I like both bands/artists as a whole but I Like Beseech's version better than Malmsteen's. He made the song too power metaly which is his style, but his epic guitar shredding was two much for the song.
I tried. I really tried to like the Beseech version, but I just couldn't finish it. I guess the most I could say for it is they made it more original than Yngwie did, but Yngwie head and shoulders above it.

I prefer the Beseech version. Yngwie's version is good but just a faster guitar version of the original version. Not really the "original". The Beseech version though, instant like and I really love the low/dark/slow version, they did really made it "their" song, almost unrecognizable. The Beseech version in a way reminds me of Nick Cave & The bad seeds.
I also grew up in Cuba and Bulgaria listening to pop music - Abba of course was very popular and enjoying immensely without knowing the lyrics in English... 🤟😀🕺... I'm glad you guys are doing these fun battles crossing genres... I liked the Beseech version better. Now I'm also a big fan of heavy metal, may I suggest a battle between the original Depeche Mode: "Everything counts" and In Flames version 🍻😀🤟

I was born in Havana, but my mom is Bulgarian, so I traveled often there in my youth, in the good old times 😊✌ ... metal and rock music in general was very popular in the 80s in Bulgaria , they printed their on vinyl records of bands like Dio... I first listened there to Iron Maiden, Dio and Metallica in Bulgaria... they will play them often on the radio 📻 too! 🤟

Yngwie is a guitar legend, what he does is an artform. His vibrato and bending is top notch, that often gets overlooked because of his speed.
