- The 2002 LEGO Star Wars 7103 Jedi Duel is far from the best set ever. However it's a fu little callback to how simple LEGO Star Wars used to be presenting Count Dooku & Yoda Minifigures for the first time & a speeder plus an accessory build in one package for just $10! This Episode 2: Attack of The Clones based set is totally worth picking up in my opinion as a nostalgic piece. If you have no nostalgia for it though I'd be hard pressed to recommend when 75017 exists.

Kinda hope we get a new version of this for 2022 as a $20 Duel Set.

This it the only Attack of the Clones set I have ever owned.....which is less a commentary on my collection and more the fact that Ep II has gotten shockingly few sets.

I never owned any Star Wars sets with yellow-toned minifigures, but I do remember seeing this set in a mini catalog which came with an Orient Expedition set from 2003. Personally though, I'm unsure as to if Episode II or Revenge of the Sith have had fewer sets overall.
Lego should make more prequel sets in my opinion

Kai Brix I feel like they largely released sets in 2013 about the clone wars because that's the only year they mostly interacted with was attack of the clones in terms of lego star wars but yes I do agree because I would like to see legos take on present attack of the clones sets

The fact that they put the chrome paint on the Dooku lightsaber even on new releases is so cool. I love that they made a custom design for him. Wish they did that with Maul

Even your little LEGO figure looks like it was too good for this Star Wars gig.
It’s kinda funny that the Yoda figure in this set had the printing from the original trilogy, even though this was the first ever Yoda figure.
Hard to explain how revolutionary it was when Yoda first used a lightsaber.
I saw this and I was like: "This is so cool! How did I not see any leaks?" Then I read farther and saw the year it was made...

Yeah, no. Thumbnail clearly shows the classic style lego skin, aged box art and molds. Not even the build coloring looks modern.

I actually had this, and the Tusken encounter as well... those were the dayz...19 years later and I'm still building LEGO, a really nostalgic video for me this one
You hook the thing on top of the speeder to the crane. The thing you thought was a missile.

Man this brings back memories, this was remade into a bigger set (that didn't invlude Dooku ship) but did had a Geonosian Hangar and Poggle.
I remember getting that set for Christmas in 2013, my aunt got it for me. Poggle’s wings always make his head pop off so I put the wings on the geonosian soldier I got in a different set
It did come with Dooku's speeder.
I had the same issue with Poggle's head; I put them on a regular figure and left it for a week, then they were squashed down enough for his head to stay on.
It would have been even better with count dooku's solar sailer.

I have so much nostalgia for this set. Countless of hours of entertainment as a kid from this set. I agree they need to remake this. I just wish you did the crane thing, that would have made the video extra special. The way it holds dookus speeder is pretty satisfying.

I never knew the tuskan raider encounter existed,looks pretty cool!
I still remember being a kid in 2002, and having this set in pieces on the living room floor ready to build, came into the room and knelt down all over the pieces on the floor and cut my knee to bits😂 still have it in bits in one of my Lego boxes somewhere! Wish we could go back.

I had this, the Jedi Starfighter, Tusken Raider Encounter, and the Bounty Hunter Pursuit sets from Episode II when they came out. Wish I still owned them all. DID find my old Dooku minifig and had to rebuild him, new cape, new hair, new arm, and new Saber hilt😂
Not a bad set for $10 at the time! Also, I think the crane is supposed to grab the speeder by that top engine bit

you can use the crane to flick Yoda arround. Its in the instructions. Last page.
Yoda can clip into the crane and it can be used to make him jump around in the same style play feature as the recent duel on geonosis set

Star Wars/Disney better give us a new yoda vs dooku set to celebrate.
This was my first ever star wars lego set. The build is lost in the Big Bin of Bits. Sadly lost the OG yoda, still have Dooku with his chrome hilt. Definitely something i need to rebuy 'like new' to display.
I believe the docking crane is supposed to go underneath the "flick fire missle"

@MandRproductions, I love these sets because they're classic! I remember having the Encounter on Tatooine and looking at the back of the instructions for the catalogue. Even though I love these sets, the movie to me leaves a lot to be desired. I do find it enjoyable, but the acting, cgi, and romance with a complicated plot brings it down. My question is, what are your thoughts on the Attack of the Clones film, Ryan? If you respond, thank you so much!
Ryan, how did you not attach Yoda to the end of the crane and flail him around like he was jumping around in the scene? That's how I always played with this set as a kid.

This set always reminds me of the time i was going to pick it up for 10€ and when i got there the seller had sold it someone else already. We had agreed on the price and pickup time and im still lowkey mad they did that.

Ngl, I think a $300 UCS Naboo Royal Cruiser would be so cool. Could come with episodes 1-3 Padme exclusives which would be great too.

Although it is old it still is great for its time. Both Count Dooku and Yoda were new in 2002 and I think Lego did an okay job.
I think they should make another smaller duel area for this particular jedi duel like the new duel on mustafar or the duel on starkiller base that would be like 20$ or something imo
