Hey Guys, this video took me and my buddy forever to put together and the RUclips gods demonitized it. It would be super appreciated if you helped me get 30k Subscribers!
Sure thing
Absolutely man. This brought me back to the good days.
Yeah it brought me back awesome memories as a kid
Hell of a video man, man I feel so nostalgic watching these.
Thank you for bringing back a lost piece of my childhood.👍
This was actually the first video of yours I whatched love your channal
You can't get tired of the iconic "Each set sold separately."
But you control the action
base plates and background models not included
Fast motion photography used
Human Not Included
Actual Droid Not Included
Jedi Bob In New UCS Republic Gunship Not Included
Batteries not included.
Its honestly crazy to see how much effort the older ads put compared to the newer ones which feel so barebones and just lackluster
Thanks for subbing
Pretty sure those commercials were aired around the time lego Star Wars was just stating to become a thing, so of course they went all out to help get it going
Well, it just goes to show that advertisers think that we don't need cool commercials.
Just like the new sets..
All it is now OH NO GRPGU IS IN TROUBLE SEND IN THE RAZOR CREST *Destroys set*
13:50 "kashyyk is saved!" Literally the next commercial "the Wookies are captured" XD
Battle of Kashyyk in a nutshell
“We left as heroes. Years later, we returned as conquerors”
501st trooper
Yes taking down 2 ships is definitely saving a planet! They DEFINITELY won’t send more! Yep. That’s it’s! 2 ships!
“No matter the enemy, no matter the firepower… YOU control the action!”
Perfectly sums up a sublime childhood growing up with Lego Star Wars.
The guy from 04-14 was what made the commercials i'd say
Agreed
HEY!
HEY!
Thanks for subbing
@@RepublicStuds that moment when the creator of the video breaks the chain😳
My head is filled with “take on the enemy” and “new from lego star wars and “each sold separately” and “man the cockpit” and “the new lego star wars collection”
"You control the action"
@@ozonenerd7714 yes
And you controll the action
Blast off!
Load the spring loaded shooters
The Clone Wars has to have been the best series to build sets for. Constant new episodes filled with multiple new vehicles and scenes to replicate.
Too bad the animation style mini figures were 🚮
Must've been a fever dream come true back then
@@bingbongbroke1159 the clone wars sets were actually hated by some people but as time passes by we appreciate the sets more and more
@@CW0123 Well, but at final its updated the minifigures
@@CW0123 Same
I love how most of them are “Help the Jedi defeat the evil droids” but then out of nowhere there are “help the droids capture the Jedi as prisoners and fly away in the new droid fighter set”.
Its because WE control the action !!!
Because there are heroes on both sides.
From 2005-2016 is giving me mass nostalgia from watching as a kid and wanting all the sets and putting them all on my Christmas list
Seriously tho. I remember browsing the lego website and writing down every set that I wanted (every star wars set out at the time)
I remember circling every lego star wars set (especially the deathstar) every Christmas
@@johncurtis118 a simpler time. Where all you had to worry about was if your aunt was going to get you a lego set or not
@@legodexterjettster1229 alas the time never came...
Facts dude.
Even though the older ones were cheesier I still think they are better
truly
"YOU CONTROL THE ACTION" was my era. I didn't speak english at that time but I loved it. Seeing those huge battlefields made from real LEGO was dream material and the amount of animation was fitting imo.
I also think with the narration and the presentation of they features they had a good flow and you learned about the set. That got worse imo opinion.
Mr gonk I got to say your my favorite droid in my custom cantina
@@andrewwillard5625 thx! I appreciate it
Heretic
“The fate of the galaxy is in your hands”
So badass
Uh?
So fckin cool
so rude to put that responsibility on a child. "wait i don't know how to do that i'm 10"
But they are Lego they aren’t alive
10:57
You have to admit, that Death Star explosion is BEAUTIFULLY animated.
Oh yeah
@C Clovirus 1977
Definitely well animated.
I KNOW RIGHT, why was the animation THIS GOOD and yet we are getting garbage animation now!!
I honestly think it looks better than the scenes in episode 4 and 6. I know it's not far to compare 1978 effects to 2010's cgi, but that doesn't stop that explosion from looking cute as heck.
No matter the enemy. No matter the fire power. You control the action
Until about 2014 when you don't.
@@matthewmatthew981 now the corporate businesses control you and the action

@@benchui580 LMAO
Many separtists were harmed in the making of this video
Good?
@Voidremmant They all were pawns.
:(
I like how in the older ones they acknowledge that people usually think the bad guy troops and ships are cooler and say you can command the empire or the CIS.
And not a single one of the newer ones mention a thing about the 1st Order
Oh man. 2004-2013 is just pure nostalgia for me. Getting the major sets for Christmas or birthdays and the battle packs in between. Watching these commercials counting down the days till Christmas to see if that set would be under the tree. Ugh I miss be a kid. Wish I could go back. The 2000s was the last good decade before technology and social media destroyed the culture we live in
Completely agree. I remember being so excited to wake up on Christmas morning to open up Lego Star Wars sets, or even just using my allowance that I'd saved up for weeks just to go out and buy small sets to take them over to my best friend's house and we'd play for hours and make stories. Good times.
2012-2013 were my favorite years. My nostalgia
@@Dusty_CAAh I miss these times.
exactly. sad to see it turn into what it is now
To be honest it feels like the commercials dropped the ball hard during the phase of TLJ and ROS
wdym?
@Xc' wq ok but what does dropped the ball hard mean
@@asaknight321 means quality went down
@@trevorcarlson7992 oh, basically it sucks?
@@asaknight321 yeah I wouldn't say it's "bad bad" it just felt... "eh" Just instead of playing part of their specialty it just felt like it turned into a really boring typical marketing commercial for kids
Man I remember the days when “ask your parents first” applied to me and the anxiety of asking for legos
I hated having to ask my parents to buy me legos so I started buying them myself.
@@mreggs3731 well I still have to ask even though I buy them with my own money
Out of anxiety, I didn’t ask my parents if I could buy the old Lord of the Rings sets, which now haunts me as they’re so goddamn expensive

The days of the clone wars sets were actual gold
Yeah now it’s goofy ass sequels sets 😢 💀💀
0:58 this kid had legends coming to him for stuff... Must of had good things
This is a real trip through time.
It really shows you how Lego's marketing has changed.
I love how always no matter the enemy and no matter the firepower, we always control the action. That's the best thing about the LEGO Star Wars sets!
we are the real masters
The newer ones are almost all just animation, the old ones show every single play feature and function to each set. It was also werid that in random years they either had a mix of animation and stop motion or just only stop motion
That scene of watto and the kid dancing is just hilarious to me.
We knew it would only be a downward spiral when they got rid of the old voiceover guy
I loved that as soon as The Force Awakens ended everyone assumed Finn would be THE main character
Yes
would be better tbh,
Those 2005-2010 commercials are my entire childhood.
True
Mine too
17:00 and this is the exact moment where all the hype and all the energy starts to slowly drain away. ..
Ironic that is also started with the sequels where star wars starts to drain away
@@pr0gurt the common denominator is disney
I still remembers seeing the classic 2008 republic gunship and getting it for Christmas !!! Ahh the memories
Same. Favorite lego set along with venator and slave I
@@philmybutup4759 that’s awesome!!! I have the venator too!!
One of my favorite memories as a kid was getting the Republic Gunship for Christmas and putting it together while watching Ice Age with my family.
I was 1 years old in 2008
I got my first star wars set in 2012
Cool but did you know, you control the action
It’s crazy how much LEGO Star Wars improved in the first 5 years and now we get the same Luke’s landspeeder every year
So many memories here. My parents forced me to give away my Lego when I was a teenager, saying I had outgrown them. It was bittersweet, but the pair of brothers from the church I went to at the time really appreciated it so they went to good hands.
The drive to build and create is still there though, I build and paint models and terrain for tabletop games now. But Lego is where it all began
Awe that'd awesome
Shame because Legos are the one toy we do not outgrow. Sure we dont physically play with them anymore but they're still fun to take apart and rebuild.
Action figures and stuff yea they'll never get used the same way again but LEGO is for life,.
The summer before high school my mom and stepdad wanted to move to a different city and there wasn’t room at the next house for all my stuff so I had to give all my Lego to my cousins. Now I have my own place and I just recently got 90% of the Lego back from my cousins and it brought back so many memories
I get that they're your parents and all but they have no right just giving away loved possessions like wtf i couldn't imagine mine doing such a thing as a kid
I had to leave all of mine behind.
But I'm on my way getting all of them back.
Every brick shall be avenged.
Even my wife enjoys it with me.
You never outgrow the sound of bricks.
“Careful he’s a hero”
it seems that lego doesn't really like the B wings...
nobody does :O
I do

How many times did I hear “YOU CONTROL THE ACTION!”
Its hard to believe that the 2008 commercials happened that long ago... it still feels like yesterday I saw these commercials
05' onwards are the ones I remember showing up on cartoon network as a little kid, mad nostalgia hearing that presenter's voice for the first time in a good 13 years
4:02 cracks me up for some reason.. just the way Boba fett shoots the blaster is funny
4:07 the forbidden name lol
0:52 the heck is Watto doing there, that animation cycle has me dead 💀
12:26 Krell celebrating with the clones ☹️
that didn’t age well
4:57 bro I remember seeing this commercial 5 times a day, on average. Still awesome every time it played tho!
Same bro. It's gorgeous
It is funny how they have both the buildable figures and the mini figures fighting on Crait. Imagine seeing a giant Rey fighting a small Kylo in live action.
I think I’ve seen some “art” with a similar size premise…
*stomps on kylo ren*
I love how lego has come so far. And the iconic words "Each set sold seperetly" is so iconic
One of the things I love about these adds is how they just put the pieces into place and they just magically fuse together.
and dont forget "each set sold separately"
the 2006 slave 1 commercial really hits different. especially the line "you can captain solo" really resonates with me more than anything else just off pure nostalgia
There is so much nostalgia here. I got some really good flashbacks from these. Thank you for archiving these masterpieces.
4:31 there’s an imperial shock trooper years before it was made into an actual figure
Just noticed that, weird
I wish lego set commercials were like how they where in the 90s
@The Fabulous Eagle ikr, the 90s commercial is better than these days commercial.
@@devout.2 i honestly miss the days I would see danimals and chuck e. Cheese commercials
LEGO Star Wars came out 1999 so there weren't really commercials from the 90s.
"Ya got anything in red and black? "
Idk I loved the HEY! era
I’m 24, I’ve been playing with legos practically my whole life, and when I say this nostalgic feeling hit weirdly different, I mean it

@BBearplayz the true reason the skywalker saga game has been delayed indefinitely 😂
@@brackinivey3352 Custom Commander Cody minigifures there's countless of, yes. But there has only ever been 1 *official* version of Cody and it was him in his Phase 1 armor in TCW art style, weirdly enough. I'm saying weirdly because Cody has been around since Revenge of the Sith and he was ultra iconic since then because ROTS was a hugely successful movie of course, so it's hella weird why Lego never made that Cody, but instead the Cody from the TV show. Alas, we don't even have a Phase 2 Cody in either animation or movie realistic, so that's lame! :/
When LEGO still called it the Slave 1, great times…
It's all Disney's fault!- Anakin

I liked the old style commercials
18:08 remember when we thought the Finn was going to be the Jedi in the Sequels.
Droids: *shoot missiles*
At te: 12:07 missiles are my speciality
12:18 : Pong-Krell is on the wrong spot. He is either somewhere behind them or is on the side of the seperatists
“The fate of ___ is in your hands” and “you control the action with the new lego starwars collection” are the classic lines from the old commercials
Oh those 2007-2009 ones are so nostalgic, i remember my local toys r us had a screen next to the lego sets where these were playing and just staring at them for quite a long time as a kid
11:54 that are phase 2 clones, not phase 1😂
They also used phase 1’s during the first turbo tank ad. They where supposed to be phase 2
The "Lego mania" is a jingle you can never get tired of, and it weirdly reminds me of the smell of the empty Lego cardboard boxes for some weird reason.
16:22 10/10 acting
18:27 you can tell fin was originally gonna have more to his story since even the Lego ads give him a light saber.
I never thought I would get sick of hereing the same piece of amazing music
I would really love Lego Star Wars Throwback Sets. That would be a blast (no pun intended)!!
11:01 god I love this commercial
We need a new arc -170
We really do it's such a cool ship
They never cease to let you know which side is the "Evil" side lol
I like how a lot of these show the empire defeating the rebels
The 2002 ads feel the most friendly and inviting not yelling at you like LEGOLEGOVFJDHSIXHHXH!
The good old days. I love seeing all of this old and nostalgic sets again!
2008-2016 are the most nostalgic ones
Change my mind
More of 2007 to 2016 (wow what a big difference I know)
They really are
"Change my mind"
Sorry, I can't. You're absolutely right.
The voice that will never be forgotten
Those 2005-2010 ones make me feel so nostalgic
The older ads are soooo nostalgic
15:05 oh yeah I forgot Lego knew he existed
“Count dookoo is escaping with the Death Star plans” at 11:27
He had them? That’s why he was on genosis
MY CHILDHOOD. The first few commercials were all over the place while I watched looney tunes and scooby doo.
I feel so much nostalgia just remembering the old days of Lego Star Wars it brings back so many memories
2009 to 2013 was the best in my opinion, I remember watching them as a kid
I really liked the older ones, they went out to actually put effort into them
8:52 coolest logo animation ever
15:36 *hello there*
4:32 Imperial shocktrooper in 2007?
Man I forgot that old narrator voice with those cg scenes, good times
12:31 My favorite, I do have a cousin who has so many legos. I remember when he got this and we did the battle of endor. The good old days are well missed.
I wish I could just go back in time and buy tones of lego for cheap, 1 year too late to get into lego
I wish I was into Star Wars when I was a kid, back when all that clone wars stuff was coming out I didn’t like Star Wars to my regret

9:37 Aaaaaand there goes anakin, the rest of the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy, also the sequel trilogy.
The destroyer droid at 1:04 is my all time favorite set.
God I miss childhood I'm crying tears of joy watching this
seeing how many prequel sets were made in the mid 2000's makes me miss them smh they were so popular and still would be. bring back the prequel greatness.
I love how there's a barren wasteland of a "skipped-to" gap whenever the Bionicle inspired figures commercials appear.
