I've bought my replacement parts from Injured Gadgets. Two phones completely rebuilt by using your videos. Thank you for saving me hundreds of dollars.
I purchased a screen assembly from this site and installed it following this guide. However, the buttons (power and volume) did not work. So I double checked everything and the orange ribbon cable connecting the buttons to the contact points had a slight tear. I hadn't even touched the cable that was broken. Please take pictures & inspect before installing. This site is not friendly to hobbyists & self repairs and have been somewhat hostile towards my refund request (stating it's my fault). I will update my comment after the company receives the broken assembly & tell you what their resolution is. EDIT: They finally accepted my return, but said it was a one time thing. Replacement part worked fine. I made sure to record the entire unpacking & reinstalling process. Would highly discourage first-timers from using this company.
Thank you for providing such a detailed and carefully explained step-by-step guide. I’ve watched over 10 videos on this, but your method is by far the most efficient, requiring fewer components to be removed. I successfully completed the replacement thanks to your instructions!
@@jackdenial1500but they aren't genuine Samsung parts. I got mine from Amazon and the thumbprint scanner doesn't work because it's missing a part UNDER the phone frame itself that you can't get to. Besides the fact the screen does it's own thing most of the time
This video really helped me, my screen was glitching and I just had to connects somethings that weren't thank you so much for guiding me through the opening of my device.
Excellent clear, detailed instructions, my Mom dropped her phone a few months back and got a new one, she also wanted a backup incase she drops her new one, so she got a replacement screen, I found your video and this worked perfectly, Thank you!
Thanks for all of you help! I thought I bought a good screen replacement, well so much for thinking! my power button does not work. Where did you buy your replacement screen from?
Thanks to your excellent video, my phone is now working again. TMobile couldn't send me another one like it, so I'm very happy your video helped me restore it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Where can I buy a good quality screen digitizer and frame? I didn't see your link. Looking online has been horrible with fakes and bad reviews. Located in US. Thanks
My S20 FE's screen started acting up and eventually went dead. Only then I noticed that the case had opened a wee bit on one side - enough to get water inside. I opened and disassembled it following your great video, let it open to dry for 24hrs. Alas, still dead screen. The device does react with a short vibration when doing the "hold Vol Down + power for >15sec" reset, so hope is, that the main board is not dead. What is your thought - is it worth to give a replacement screen a try (hard to find an original, though... knock offs can be found for
Thanks for creating your great video and showing us how to replace the screen. I see the screen replacements for sale on Amazon and the biggest complaint I read is the thumb print reader wasn't working after they replaced the screen. Watching your video and you showing us how to replaced the thumbprint sensor makes me suspect that the people complaining on Amazon didn't replace the thumbprint sensor. They said the screen worked fine. Does $35 to $50 sound like a normal price for replacement? I am think I am going to roll the dice and buy one and follow your video again to replace the screen. I had gotten caught riding my bike in the rain and right at the bottom of my screen, I didn't notice the seal came up a little so, water got into my phone. The screen comes on but, there is a line in it and plus the touch sensor is way off. I can't type anything without hooking up a mouse and keyboard. I am hoping a screen replacement will fix all of that.
Yours is the best video. Wish i watched yours first. GPS poor signal now, even though all looks good and i was careful. Think the gos is the single grey wire.
Thank you for this video... I have watched several times and feel that I can repair my screen IF I can find where to purchase the "replacement screen".... (Unable to locate any links in the description) I need to get contacts and photos from the phone with smashed screen, and can't figure out any way to do without replacing the screen first....
After following pour nice vidéo, everythings works fine, except the GPS location that can't find any satellite. Is thé blue câble on the left used for GPS antenna?
Great video! Keep up the good work ❤️. I noticed that my phone doesn’t have the blue cable like in the video; it only has white and red cables. Is this normal?
everything very nice, there is one issue though : U didn't use original sticker for back cover(which is one piece) and that makes it not water proof anymore I'm afraid... and there was two screws missing, under plastic cover, silver up and black down...
Followed everything to the Tee even removing screws that were not mentioned but the phone won't charge... im assuming that the alcohol might have affected the battery or the board...sigh..
Screen is just a bunch of horizontal flickering white lines. Oh, and there's 2 screws, 1each, holding the upper and lower boards to the case. They have to be removed before prying free.
I am having signal issues after doing this repair, even though I was careful with the attenas. I have opened up the phone again and have inspected the wires, the connections are good and there are no kinks in the wires. Any ideas on what this issue could be?
Everything went OK except two things. ..I've got one black screw that I forgot where it went and I also damaged the antenna wire and the antenna board.
You didn't mention that there's a one screw on the top motherboard and one on the bottom charging port board that needs to be removed after you remove the plastic covers with the 5G antenna in order to remove them I replayed your video again and see that you don't have those two screws probably where removed before you made the video
