I'll take the EX over the BX, definitely worth spending more for independent rear multi-link suspension. Yes you gotta watch out in attention to details in specifications! For comfort and driving, there is no substitute.
I got mine delivered on Friday. I noticed it came with 3 Pin charger for normal UK socket. Do I need to do any extra connection or just plug it direct to wall socket with 13a?
It seems to have a newer motor too TZ210 vs TZ200 on Atto3, probably a little bit more efficient but the torque steer is very apparent due to FWD. If only it was RWD like MG could be a potential class killer machine. Spec wise they seem to be on conservative side with many local reviewer could reach 0-100km/h at less than 7s fresh but there are some issue with BQ, BMS and ECU especially with the early buyer having hardware version 1.0.0. Wireless Carplay also hard to connect but once connected it is pretty stable.
@@EVsBeyond that was from a test made with 2 adults not going over 110kmh mainly... granted the last strech of that test was driving at town speed to reach 0%
What a shame. Cars with this sort of specs do not sell well in China, at this price. Lack of enough competition outside China is to blame. The Omada sub-brand is pretty much a cash cow designated for overseas markets.
Yet another Chinese electric car manufacturer. So we have GWM Great Wall Motors, BYD Build Your Dreams and others. What’s happening to AMERICA and European electric car manufacturers?
Looks really good value. Cheaper than the great MGZSEV we had and loved.
Absolutely
Best review I've seen on the E5 so far. Thanks 😊
Wow, thanks!
Great review mate ,thanks from oz 🍻

It is beyond expectation.
Certainly the build quality is.

What is the name of this color?
Wow, A spare tyre! Props to them!
Now who remembers how to use one!
Definitely useful especially during weekends, public holidays or whenever you cannot even get tyre shop fitted when they're closed.

That charger is likely 8 or 10 amps. Highly recommend getting a home charger professionally installed. You may find there is a local subsidy for this.
First to comment 🎉. Thanks for the video, does it have 6-way adjustable driver’s seat and seat position memory? Is it one-pedal drive? TIA
Six way on the EX model. The regen is very strong at the highest setting.
@@EVsBeyond that’s good to know! Does the car fully stop when you let go of the accelerator pedal without applying the brake?
@@siyuanzuo3750 Nope, it doesn't have one pedal driving mode and it also doesn't have seat memory
@@steakikan thanks! Still a pretty competitive package
Odd they use drum rear brakes
Is $31000 in my country worth it for this car?
Under what currency?
How much is it in australia?
Chery Australia have yet to confirm E5 pricing.
About 49k
Actually it can reach up to 470km of range being conservative

At slow speeds maybe?
@@EVsBeyond using Eco+ mode some did reach 470km and at 0% the aircon still works but left around 10-20km only

Anyone know what its V2L max output is?
They have not yet officially confirmed V2L capability. It is in the infotainment system settings, and we tried our BYD adaptor, but it did not work.
3.3kW here in Indonesia's model, the adapter given has 2 prong
The 2nd row is pretty cramped
Njirrrr full black keren banget di banding unit di Indonesia
No app is really disappointing.
there supposed to be apps soon, called carlinko but not sure if it adds additional subscription service

They have departed stage right
American and European cars are rubbish
They are fighting wars building military bases.
Spare wheel not tyre
God that interior is pretty awful.
Works really well in real life.
Look alot better than Tesla Model 3 or Y
Better than our MG ZS EV, some are convince it's better than BYD Atto 3.
