I’ve been playing assassins creed for such a long time and when ever I hear this song I get goosebumps I wish I found this along time ago but you did this so well I got a little emotional but it was so good and the fog in my head cleared for these few minutes
Those lyrics are awesome! I also love that you included Latin, that's so great!! I just finished my first year of Latin (though I get more exposure than most at my church), so it was really cool seeing it incorporated into this. Never heard it outside of sacred music. Anyways, that was AMAZING! Thank you for always putting out good content.
@@RachelHardy If you would actually like to know, the only thing I hear is "licent" ought to be "lee-saint" as opposed to "lay-sahnt." Other than that I could understand it, though, as I said, I have only taken one year of Latin.
If it's not considered sacred music for you, might I suggest any of Mozart's choral pieces, Trevor? I did sing some of his Requiem pieces during my high school choir days, so I can definitely confirm his choral pieces are in Latin.
@@betholiver4742 Thank you so much for the suggestion. I am very inexperienced in classical music (I didn't even know Mozart had choral compositions), but I am starting to get into it more. Thanks!
@@trevorthorp5233 Of couse! Dies Irae and Lacrimosa are part of his Requiem suite, so I'd start there if I were you! Beautiful pieces originally written for Requiem Mass, or old Renaissance funeral.
Really made me miss the old assassin's Creed games. The new ones just don't do it for me. These first ones were such a new experience and such a great new story in a place I would never have searched for one. Great song.
Probably because new games aren't AC games at all. They'll be good games in their own rights, great RPGs, great settings/locations/atmosphere, but it's just not assassin's creed anymore, it lost all the meaning, sadly.
I haven't played any of the games involving Ezio, but omg this song is so stunning🥺 It's like there's this fear slowly turning into a panic, but there's a faint whisper of "It's ok. Everything's going to be ok. Just trust your heart."
Then sweetheart you've got to play, I don't have to say anything, the comments above and below say it all, I feel all of them.... Ezio Auditore is not just a Game Character. The biggest reason why we're madly in love with him is not just the story, It's Uniqueness is that we get to see him BORN, Become a MAN, grow OLD and die a peaceful death at the age 65, all those worth of storyline, no one even knows themselves that closely. That is alone why he should be an icon, but HE IS BEYOND AMAZING, (Everything about him) Just Give it a GO
@Zel Zerat you just said something amazing! People who never played ezio before always thinks it's not worth it, because they don't know! And they don't even wanna listen...they don't know what is ezio throughout the trilogy, if they are true assassin's creed fans, ezio is their favorite.
ibam not even a hardcore AC fan but you gotta play the old classics, AC:Brotherhood is peak of Classic AC and u will get more out of it if u play AC2 . ezio trilogy is worth it

I watch this video specifically before training for kick boxing. I feel as if, denoting your voice as a 'gift' feels more as an insult, as it implies you gained your voice through means out of your control. Your voice, besides the music, makes me feel such a way not many forms of music do, its something primal, protective, as if its something higher than me that needs to be preserved. For all i know, your voice went through the rugged terrains of practice to perfect what you have now. You define artistic beauty, the Ezio collection is a brilliant piece of music but you, Rachel, add what very few in the music industry can, and thats making it art. Edit: If you do happen to read over this Rachel, whatever time it may be. I'm sure you've heard of the hedonic cycle, where whatever success an individual achieves which was previously a highly ambitious goal, now makes you apathetic once you've achieved it. I really hope you pursue this, your voice could be a gateway to unforeseen art, I really hope you do this because YOU love it as such and never due to audience demands or trends. I hope your voice remains immortalized for many more to listen to.
This made me emotional. Like the first time I played the game back in the days. So beautiful, gave me chills!!! Is there gonna be any covers you do that I won't like? I don't think so...
This is the video that popped into my RUclips recommendations and made me subscribe to this channel. Now I'm back after watching (almost) all the previous videos. Enjoying your covers and still wishing to hear more of your original compositions.
After listening to your songs I have now watched The Witcher, re-watched the LOTR and Hobbit movies, and am aching to play BG3.. let's add Assassin's Creed to that list :) You are really talented, have an amazing voice and I sincerely hope you are enjoying making this content as much as I am sure we all love listening to it.
If you didn't play to any AC, I recommend you to start as follow: AC 2, brotherhood, revelations, AC1 (old game but really interesting for the story behind), AC3, (AC4 blackflag important if you like the lore, or pirates, not really important if you want to stay close to the AC2 atmosphere), AC rogue, unity, syndicate (not quite necessary scenario wise imo but nice atmosphere and musics), origins, odyssey (be sure you have the atlantis quests available in your version) and vikings (I just finished Odyssey so I don't know if Vikings is important to play scenario wise) You can find the games up to AC syndicate really cheap on instantgaming or during steam sales if you do want to purchase them. :)
I look forward to hearing it, I've played the Assassin's Creed 2, and I enjoyed it, and it sets out the storyline of Ezio... I won't be awake at the premiere, but I'll definitely listen to it as soon as I'm able, I'm pretty sure I'll bring back memories
I know the song itself is amazing but when it comes up when Kassandra says "the wolf of Sparta is my father" and the game pans out for the title. That's goosebumps!
Personally, Odyssey was the best game in the franchise. It's so filled with emotion and care. Seeing your comment I looked up this part to see one more time and got goosebumps all over again. Amazing game!
@@DanielSlva I'd say the same too. I like the Ezio Trilogy but I couldn't connect to it the way I connected to Odyssey. Something about Kassandra was just amazing. Loved the Greece setting too

omg this was amazing i have played AC:2,revelation and brotherhood so much and this brought me back to all the good times playing those 3 games. i wanna replay those games now whit this in the background on repeat. fantastic as always Rachel hope you have a nice day :D
Your voice has an unmatched etheric beauty that matches this song perfectly.
I am a boy from Argentina who discovered your channel recently and I really love how you sing. I listened to your interpretation of Ezio Family and it made my hair stand on end. I really love how you sing.
You'll have to give me a score on pronunciation, I kinda just guessed based off of what I learned of Latin in elementary school. Glad you liked it!

I haven't played any of the games involving Ezio, but omg this song is so stunning🥺
It's like there's this fear slowly turning into a panic, but there's a faint whisper of "It's ok.
That is alone why he should be an icon, but HE IS BEYOND AMAZING, (Everything about him)
Just Give it a GO
@Zel Zerat you just said something amazing!

The lyrics were so on point! The latin one gave chills, so much chills.
wow , This is one of my favourite songs
It felt epic when I heard this during the game
Thank you very much Rachel , enjoyed it , Best of Luck !
Such a great melody! Still brings me chills every time I hear it! So much nostalgia!
Your voice is perfect for it too!
this one really hits on levels you cant explain, amazing video production
This is one of my all-time favorite pieces, ever sine playing the game as a teenager.
Your rendition is beautiful.
It's definitive
This become one of the greatest Ezio's Family covers on RUclips, what a beautiful and powerful voice, i love it.
Wow thank you so much!
One of the best cover I have ever heard. Keep going Rachel
I got goose bumps all over my body at this angelic voice, just mega what she has created there
Good lord i got the chills. This was beautifully made and done. First assassin's creed i played was 2 and been in love with the franchise since. Was 12 when i played, 24 now.
This music and depth of character (AC 2- AC 4) is what makes u fall in love with Assassin's creed series oh and the simplicity of gameplay as well
This is going to a *repeat for ten hours* type covers that’s for sure. I’m ready!
thank goodness youtube introduced the loop button
@@RachelHardy Ok so I knew about that button while viewing on my laptop but assumed there wasn’t one for phone…because of your comment I double checked and you just saved me a lot of money on my car insurance Rachel THANK YOU 🙏🏼😭
Well this comment thread just single-handedly changed my life.
Aaahhh... The Memories. My childhood 🥺❤️ Tears of Nostalgia 🥲. Thank you for such a wonderful cover.
Happily watching this with chills, goosebumps and tears
I've listened to it several times already and it still gives me goosebumps.

You made me cry with such talent, thank you. I feel fortunate to be able to listen to you sing, a real blessing.
This is so pure honestly when i feel hopeless then pop this on the you feel as if youve been destined to do great things
This is the video that popped into my RUclips recommendations and made me subscribe to this channel. Now I'm back after watching (almost) all the previous videos. Enjoying your covers and still wishing to hear more of your original compositions.
I'm a big fan of the franchise and it's music. You did a great job! I love it. 💜
After listening to your songs I have now watched The Witcher, re-watched the LOTR and Hobbit movies, and am aching to play BG3.. let's add Assassin's Creed to that list :)
You are really talented, have an amazing voice and I sincerely hope you are enjoying making this content as much as I am sure we all love listening to it.
I absolutely love it!
yeah she turned me on to watching "Vikings"!
When you get chills down your spine and you feel your hair tingle you know it's a masterpiece.
Whenever I listen to this song it makes me feel very peaceful. Rachel Hardy's voice is also amazing, of course.
So emotional and sweet, loved this performance.
I look forward to hearing it, I've played the Assassin's Creed 2, and I enjoyed it, and it sets out the storyline of Ezio... I won't be awake at the premiere, but I'll definitely listen to it as soon as I'm able, I'm pretty sure I'll bring back memories
You should sing Tale of the Tongues from Skyrim!!!
@Faith Bennett Yes!!!!
That will open another hole of nostalgia
@VENDXTTA Yes, yes it will.😭
I know the song itself is amazing but when it comes up when Kassandra says "the wolf of Sparta is my father" and the game pans out for the title. That's goosebumps!
it's from Assassin's creed II originally, used as on overall theme in various games like the odyssey.
Personally, Odyssey was the best game in the franchise. It's so filled with emotion and care. Seeing your comment I looked up this part to see one more time and got goosebumps all over again. Amazing game!
@@DanielSlva you kidding ?!
@@mustafatheslayer5125 No, that's why I said "personally".
@@DanielSlva I'd say the same too. I like the Ezio Trilogy but I couldn't connect to it the way I connected to Odyssey. Something about Kassandra was just amazing. Loved the Greece setting too
Thanks for your ccover ITS amazing!❤
“Wings spread broken

Good god damn you captured the story of Ezio so well after the loss of his father and brothers and before he was an assassin and really well followed the rest of his life as an assassin

Fight for honor
Fight for freedom”
Perfect poetry and perfectly singed

Another incredible arrangement. You choose these so perfectly. I’ve enjoyed Jesper Kyd’s choral cues from Hitman: Blood Money too so this AC one had all the feels.
I really hope one day to hear you live. 😁🎶

Beautifully done! Love your music! I get an alert & I'm Yeees! This is gonna be good! And it always is. Thank you for sharing your talent!
