I have the Hahnemuhle I grabbed at closeout when my local indie art supply store was closing. I have both finishes. The cold press is kind of unusual as it has this very prominent vertical texture on it. They hold paint well and you reminded me to just pull them out and see if I can send some art to people!

unfortunately i havent tried any of the other brands. i have way too many actual postcards to send out so painting my own isnt something im thinking about doing 😂 i got this pad mainly to make a review as some have asked for it.
I did not know about these. Thanks for letting us know. How does it compare to cotton paper?
well… it surely doesnt feel like it absorbs the paint that well. which honestly makes it feel like it’s been heavily sized as opposed to not being good. the experience feels like painting on regular cellulose watercolor paper :)
