Bro honestly now I know what Kruise meant that you just been locked in at your office and working non stop I’m sorry to hear that you’re going through this but you got this 💪🏽
I used to make RUclips videos around 2-3 years ago, I stopped because my drive to do so ended. Over those years I have gotten much better, and although I believe I understood the algorithm back then, I know that it has changed heavily now. This is extremely helpful, thank you.
Thanks for this Brandon. I restarted POGO about 4 months ago and have been watching /catching up on Mystic7 contents regularly. Very helpful tips shared in this video and the dips in viewership across channels is something that I am facing as well as a LEGO content creator. This video would have been a short crash starter course that some may sell it for money and you are offering it for free here. Thanks once again
Honestly shared this with my 10 year old. He wants to be a content creator one day and while the metrics may change again in the next however many years, i love how digestable you make this. Thank you!
Hey Brandon, this was a great video. There was some info I hadn't seen before in here. I'm having some issues with the direction of my channel. Would it be cool if I threw a couple questions your way?
Hey Brandon! I'm a fellow content creator in the pokemon niche. It was really cool seeing you make a new channel like this. a lot of gems in this video. I got very burned out this past year making like 4-5 videos per week. The crazy thing is I noticed my numbers doing horrible. I thought high amount of uploads would work but after seeing your video I now see why it wouldnt. I'm going to focus more on making high quality vs just uploading like crazy. subbing to your new channel.
Really excellent insights, Brandon. The amount of time that having a RUclips channel requires is something I learned when my daughter had a RUclips channel for about 10 years. It was a smaller channel but required so much time to shoot and edit videos, she decided to just do occasional livestreams to stay connected with her subscribers. I wish you all the best in your creative work and look forward to more videos on this new channel!
An inspired content creator here, thank you for the useful tips and information! Looking to apply what I’ve learnt here. Keep grinding, everyone! 👊🏼 ❤️
Yo been a fan for a bit. Thanks for this video! One thing that I would love to be touched on in a future video is how to transition from one niche to another. Unfortunately for us, "Pokemon" isn't a niche. There's "Pokemon cards" or "shiny hunting" or "then we battles", etc.. I wanna transition away from Then We Battle content and I'm curious if there are any exploits or strategies you've found that I haven't that I could implement on how to do that effectively without starting a new channel!
Congrats on all the years and all the views! Love how optimistic and passionate you are! Super interested to see where this new channel goes! Big picture, the algorithm tries to follow the audience, so it's always learning and growing. If creators can remember to think like viewers, we can learn and grow with our audiences as well, and the algorithm should follow. Thanks for making this!
Not planning on being a youtuber but watched anyways because I like you. :) I actually still use the subscription tab, that way I do not miss the people that I enjoy. But, I know I am a bit unusual.
I’ve been feeling the same lately. After starting with Pogo content, as much as I love the game, I feel I can do so much more with storytelling in another way. You keep going bro and don’t stress too much. Just get creative here and make videos that scare you and spark your interest. Have them flop - this channel is freedom so don’t make it like the others. You want a new audience not people you’ve already got. Fans will follow but this is bigger. And when you see that , it’ll feel liberating 👊
Very interesting, thanks for sharing. You're a great content creator, fun guy to watch. Hard work pays off, just remember having fun while doing it. You got this, keep it up!
Great information i will like to suggest maybe you can try other tcg like one piece or dragonball once awhile see how the viewing. There will definitely have collectors change of hobby and collecting and will widen your audiences not to resist to only pokemon.
I like the idea of this channel, I think it's cool to have this inlook on youtube for people who don't know as much about it, but I feel like there shouldn't be a "guide" to creating a channel. Every video that has stood out to me as something interesting is the unique channels that have their own style and personality.
Thank you Brandon I have been trying to grow my channel and this video is exactly what I was looking for I have been watching both of your main channels for years I really appreciate this
Awesome video Mystic!! You’re an absolute legend and inspiration to me and so many others! You have incredible skill that’s unique to you. You will always be great man 👍🏻
As an inspiring creator, this video is actually really useful a few of the stuff that you mentioned in this video is actually very helpful so thank you Mystic❤❤❤
been watching your content on the main channel since 2014 bro, in the clash of clans era. Love that you are doing this, I cannot wait to see the outcome!
I needed this type of video so much! I always try and watch these types of how to grow videos and it’s just mainly subtle promo. Coming from a RUclipsr I actually enjoy and putting it in simpler terms helps so much!
Such a good video. It seems like the novelty of the older RUclips is fully dead. I respect Mr. Beast a ton, but straight copycats getting as many views as they are kind of bums me out right now - it's not interesting at all. My hope is that RUclips can keep some soul. As for you: Good luck, man. You are one busy guy, but you seem to have some good instinct... your crazy drive also helps. I'm in an older career path and what you're doing is fascinating to me.
This was genuinely one of the most helpful videos I've ever watched on creating a successful RUclips channel! I have a Pokemon Card channel and recently took a break from creating videos to take a step back and see what I could be doing better in terms of a content strategy, editing, thumbnails etc and this video covered pretty much everything I wanted to know, thanks so much Brandon and keep up the amazing work! :)
Haha I actually watch your Pokémon go channel. Crazy to see someone as big as you talking about RUclips. I will say it’s a very difficult grind but what I learn is just upload what you like tbh. My biggest issue is time since I’m not a full time RUclipsr since my living is based on having to commute to work and studying for classes
This was a very good and informative video, I have loved it. I am surprised that most people don't live in their sub box though, that is my first click. Because I only want to see the newest videos from those i sub to, it would feel weird to look at whatever the system thought I should watch.
You are so right. Pokerev have 2.6mil sub and uploaded almost daily but their average viewing are not as high compare to deeppocketmonster average view and the rate of his upload is not frequent,he happen to be one of my favorite youtuber because of the interesting content
Got in the first 1,000’from the UK. Met you raiding on the streets of Paris and have always loved your content my friend. Good luck with the new channel bro’ 😊
I'm just 2:46 into this video and damn I'm hooked, I wish more youtubers of all sizes done content like this as this looks like a great insight into the background of youtube content creation. Thanks for doing this!
I just got asked to rate your comment, anything appreciating #1 pokemon go youtuber is a W (this is his 2nd acc dont think im commenting on the wrong thing lol)
I've always been super interested in the RUclips algorithm and how it works, even if I'm not super interested in tailoring my uploads to serve it. This was a really fascinating and awesome video. Crazy to see how things have changed.
I hope this channel gets the same amount of recognition your pokemon channel gets, realistically it may be hard since changing your main topic of your RUclips can result in RUclips shafting you, but I wish you the best of luck
Hey Brandon, remember me? Ive been brainstorming the whole social space for the last like year ive been gone lol ive became a novice photographer/videographer, studying languages, as my life has fallen completely apart a while ago, i want to post from around the world. Speak languages, take photos, make videos, tell my story, meet people i call my YT heroes like TJ hunt, You, Sam (optical wander), and most importantly for me is meeting Larry Chen my biggest hero. So.. here soon ill be putting together an entire channel. No complexity. Hopefully interesting and mildly entertaining, hope to do photo walks with subscribers and stuff, we'll see, see you around Brandon ~invader
Honestly, it feels like I’m using RUclips for watching wrong xD I mainly watch people rather than just one video, if I find someone I enjoy watching (like you with Mystic7, MysticRips and this channel) I always want to watch as much as possible and get a lot of new stuff. I also mainly use my subscription page and mainly find new creators to watch through collabs rather than the recommendations. Idk, seeing more and more of my favourite creators die slowly due to the algorithm and the difficulty to adjust is making me pretty sad not gonna lie
Excited for this channel 🎉
Bro honestly now I know what Kruise meant that you just been locked in at your office and working non stop
I’m sorry to hear that you’re going through this but you got this 💪🏽

Good luck on the content!!
More videos like this please boss! Was really informative!
just to mention there wasn't two video popping up at the end. I just wanted to let you know In case you didn knowt.
yo what does this nerd know about youtube
i think he wasted 25 minutes and 29 seconds of his life describing what an app called "youtube" is
I have saved this video. This is amazing and thank you for producing this content.
Thanks for this video, I enjoy your conversational style and you shared what appeared to me to be very useful information 🎊 ❤

This was very helpful, thank you!
Excellent advice. I hope people realise how much knowledge is crammed in here. Niche is everything!!
