bro last night i went onto a whole stone sphere machine rabithole, started looking up electric motors for this 3 grinder set up lmao ill never make a stone sphere fuck
Great video! I've been thinking I can't make spheres because I don't have the right tools, but you just listed everything I have at my disposal. Now to finally put those hole saws to a good use. Thanks!
@@Bison_Hill_Stonecrafts I have no immediate plans to, but I'll let you know if I do. I was actually looking for ideas on how to build a dedicated sphere machine. I'd love to make some small spheres or marbles, like an inch or so in diameter. Finding the right motor for the job is my first problem to figure out.
Yes, it would work with any stone you can cut with a diamond hole saw. For super hard stuff you'll probably go through more than one diamond bit so it's good to have extras.
I found a few absolutely stunning agate rocks in decorative landscape rocks. A few are multicolored like a rainbow. All had numerous layers and in gorgeous patterns. I collect both rocks and marbles to name a few things. These agates are stunning and I'd be afraid I'd ruin them. I wish I could find someone nearby who could do a good job. I'm in central Illinois.
That is way better than Chinese stone beads. Chinese: heat treat, bleach stones and fill all tiny cracks with epoxy resin glue. Chinese bead stones are all man altered to different color and appearance from stone's original state.
Neat! Something else for my list of thing's I'll never get done...

Try superglue accelerator. It's great.

عندي مثلها داريه تشبه الكوكب داريه هل هي غاليه ام رخيصه
I'm 56. I never knew before that i wanted to make a stone marble.
Rabbit hole, here i come!
Good Luck!
Polished stone ! Very gneiss.
Store I work at sells those size spheres for about 25.00 Can......always wondered how they did it..thks for vid...amazing...
How much is 25 Can in CAD
$25.00 Canadian?????
Will this work for quartz rock?
This looks amazing! But how do you cover the hole where the dole was inserted?
There's no hole in the sphere, the dowel doesn't stick into the stone that far
@@Bison_Hill_Stonecrafts thanks that's super helpful!
How long you take for the processes?
Where did you get your unpowered spindle from?
The full tool list is in the description, here is the link for the spindle.

Whats the water source?
Nice!
How much money worth of sandpaper did you use?
Nice nice
!
When I was in Japan, I saw somebody making stone vases.
That was impressive, this works with any kind of stone? I'll try with wood too.

@bisonhillstonecrafts5122 how do you think people did this in the past without diamond tools? Is it even possible with just copper or iron?
@@jameseden9380 they used a hammer stone.
Where would one acquire an unpowered spindle?
The links for everything are in the description on the video, they are available on Amazon
Just out of curiosity what lathe brand and drill press do you use?
It's all harbor freight stuff, it was like $600 total. I do have the Nova chuck too

Now make custom billiard set
Good idea 👌🏻 I'd like to see that too.
C’mon man that sphere is still very perfect even if it’s cheap
I would maybe next time polish it before seperation
😮

Ponder getting a life!
Another.
nice, can you do this with a 30ton rock now? without electricity and with only hand tools.
wow using your hand. This is def the cheapest
the cheapest way is to lick it
You can do this for even less with just a hammer, a chisel, and a vice
Doubt it. Show me a decent vice for less than $60
You can do it with no tools. Just keep rubbing with your hands. It takes a while though.
Or just a river and some pocket lint
just will it into a sphere
How many rock statues have you made?
Not in shape
A .31 inch hole saw because .31" is such a nice, round standard measurement. wtaf
