@@Bison_Hill_Stonecrafts I have no immediate plans to, but I'll let you know if I do. I was actually looking for ideas on how to build a dedicated sphere machine. I'd love to make some small spheres or marbles, like an inch or so in diameter. Finding the right motor for the job is my first problem to figure out.

    • @Bison_Hill_Stonecrafts

Yes, it would work with any stone you can cut with a diamond hole saw. For super hard stuff you'll probably go through more than one diamond bit so it's good to have extras.

I found a few absolutely stunning agate rocks in decorative landscape rocks. A few are multicolored like a rainbow. All had numerous layers and in gorgeous patterns. I collect both rocks and marbles to name a few things. These agates are stunning and I'd be afraid I'd ruin them. I wish I could find someone nearby who could do a good job. I'm in central Illinois.

That is way better than Chinese stone beads. Chinese: heat treat, bleach stones and fill all tiny cracks with epoxy resin glue. Chinese bead stones are all man altered to different color and appearance from stone's original state.
