I forgot to mention in the video, the main ingredient, A heaped Teaspoon of Bread Soda(Baking soda) sift it in with the dry ingredients also 👍🏻☘️
I'm glad you showed sifting the dry ingredients. Sifting the baking soda is especially important as it tastes terrible if you get a lump of it in your mouth. Many bakers omit the sifting step, and it makes a difference.
This is a lovely bread recipe! Came over from RUclips Creators to watch and support.
Hey there, thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Very easy and delish! I've made it 5 times already! My dough sticks to my fingers though that doesn't seem to affect the taste. Thanks for such a quick and easy lesson.

Family recipes are the best, absolutely liked hearing about the history on your post. You did a fantastic job.
Thanks. Ireland is steeped in history and I'm more than happy to share some of my knowledge outside food also 😊👍🏻☘️
@@cookingwithdoctv6776 my parents were supposed to visit but trip was canceled, if you do a tour of your town let me know so I can share with them. Hope your new job is treating you well. Take care and have a good week.
I made this today, but I had to use white flour as I have no wholemeal flour at the moment. It was the best soda bread that I've made to date, and I've tried several recipes. Thank you. :)
Thanks so much for the positive comment. I'm glad you loved the recipe. It's the only one I use everytime for traditional Recipe. Of course I have other ones also but this is accessible for everyone 👍🏻☘️
Wow! New sub here! Great recipe my fellow chef! I really enjoy how your dish turned out! I've never had Irish Soda Bread before, but you made it look extremely enticing! I'll have to try making this one day! I found your channel through the RUclips Cooking Creators Community and I'm so glad I did! Hope to stay connected! 😀
Thanks for watching my man. And you should really try this bread. It's simply awesome with any kind of soup or with scrambled eggs in the morning 👍🏻☘️
@@cookingwithdoctv6776 sounds good! Will do! Pairing it with eggs sounds delicious!
Wow never heard of this bread but it looks pretty fantastic! Thanks for sharing this recipe - it does seem really easy to follow! Nice work here!
Yeah I think unless you've been to Ireland you don't really hear of it. It's usually served with soup and there are hundreds of varieties, but this is a very traditional one using very limited ingredients 👍🏻☘️
@@cookingwithdoctv6776 Usually traditional and minimalistic is best! Thanks for sharing the background about this!
You had me at minimal effort. Hahahaha! I thought when you mentioned Irish soda you're including soda like coke or pepsi. Hahaha! Thank you for sharing this recipe. Supporting my fellow vloggers. +1 subscriber here.
I can see why you would think that 🤣 it's one of our national treasures 😏. It's my pleasure to share and thank you for watching 👍🏻☘️
I wish my irish mum had written down, how she made it, which had been passed down through generations, she was born in 1912 using Odlums, which is really good, where I am you do not see butter milk any where, what is the alternative ?
thanks, your making me hungry, through my memory.
Interesting recipe! I gave you sub, stay connected. Isa
Thanks for watching, I really appreciate the sub also 👍🏻☘️
Nice video buddy, this looks awesome. I need to try this.
Thanks for watching. Yeah everyone needs to try it once but be warned, once you do you will want to have it again and again 😁👍🏻☘️
