I saw Lansbury, Loudon, and Lupone on Broadway (and a handful of amateur productions) but I treasure this performance; she plays the role as if it had been written for her.

She was the standout in this production. Hands-down, arguably my fave Ms. Lovett I've seen in person.

Sondheim didn't know this when he wrote it, but the word "chopper" is an old cockney euphemism for penis. Makes the line "bring along your chopper" on their honeymoon a double entendre and makes me collapse into hysterical giggles every time. #IMayGrowOldButWillNeverGrowUp

Please revive this on Broadway with Christin Baranski. She is the best Mrs. Lovett since Angela Lansbury .

I've heard Christine's and Patti's version of this song but somehow Christine's just stick into my head. This is brilliant. I'm wondering if u have The Worst Pies in London? Would love to see it. Thanks

It was a short engagement at Lincoln Center. It only ran for a few performances, so it kind of fell of the radar sadly.

Surprised I saw this on a Celebrity Word Search book. Flipped through pages, and found Christine Baranski, and said she played in Sweeney Todd, this one

That's a master class in how to deal with an orchestra who is too loud, don't sing louder, make the audience list more. Wonder why the conductor didn't tell the horns, pp?
