The problem with anything Oz is that it's been tainted by being compared to the 1939 film. So many people have no idea about the book series. Even Return to Oz was a disappointment to many who were looking for a sequel to the 1939 film , and it sort of was but not in the same way. The books are amazing. I remember so many different interesting things in them. There was one where they travel through a land made of all glass, and another made of only paper, etc. There was so much that could be done film wise but they always get held up against the 1939 version
And a Mouseketeer "ringer"- Kevin "Moochie" Corcoran. He actually appeared in several "MICKEY MOUSE CLUB" serials (including the later "Spin & Marty" chapters)- and then, in several "Moochie" segments {"Moochie of the Little League", "Moochie of Pop Warner Football"} on "WALT DISNEY PRESENTS" in 1959 and '60.
Don't hold your breath hoping to star in that movie, kids! It was shelved just a few months later.

A segment from the "Fourth Anniversary Show".
Why shouldn't this be remade nowadays? Or inconclusion as a "Return to Oz" special feature..?
