Another fine diorama Trevor. I especial like the electrified zombie with its hair on end. The second version of the road worked really well and the detail like leaves, bottles and wooden boarding is spot-on. Great work.
Thanks very much, Alon. The plaster on the road was a big mistake - maybe I should have mixed it with glue instead of water? Props for spotting the bottles, though. There are just two tiny ones almost hidden away - I'm definitely going to consult you when I'm trying to find Waldo! Thanks very much for checking out the video!
Thanks very much! We'll turn you into a zombie-lover yet, haha! It was a fun diorama, just a mad rush to get it done and the video uploaded by Halloween!
Sept. 4, 2022---Now this is something different....thanks for showing it off and no idea why I hadn't seen it before. I've got a lot of WW 2 motorcycles with/without sidecars but also been picking up Tamiya's JSDF dirt bikes, along with Bronco's ATV and 1/32 scale diecast dirt bikes, all from Ebay. And Master Box has a lot of female figures. WAS working on 2 zombie/apocalypse dioramas until I not only got covid, but influenza A, all within 4 months. First diorama will be called Childhood's End and got that idea from a Google photo with those words spray painted on a weed filled and abandoned, city parks slide. Made a merry go round, 2 seater swing set, jungle gym and what I call, horsey rides. You know, animals with springs under them so kids can rock back and forth on. A man will be resting on the merry go round with pack and rifle on each side of him, while looking at a rabbit (Tamiya's) that's being cooked over an open fire. His dog is looking at him as in reminding him that he had scared up the rabbit for their dinner. The other will be titled You are not alone. A woman will be sitting on the edge of an abandoned, empty, weed filled city fountain, with her dog laying a paw on one of her legs. The fountains 3 bases were made from 3 pourings of plaster of Paris in a sour cream lid., with 2 of them being hollowed out. Then one of them broke while doing this and realized it simply added more realism. Fountain itself is made from a modified, plastic champagne glass turned upside down. From Ebay, got 3 small cherubs and a larger angel to put on it.
Oh my word, those dioramas sound truly amazing. I'm sorry to hear about your bout with Covid, and the double whammy of influenza. Being a pharmacist myself, I see people daily who are recovering from Covid, and it's quite a long process to get back to their old selves. I hope you're not suffering the after-effects too badly. That said, the subjects for your dioramas are brilliant, and I think they're going to be spectacular once they're done! I hope you'll post a video or send a picture or two when you're finished. Dios are a lot of work, but well worth the effort :-)
@@OstrichLongneck Sept. 27, 2022---Will be posting photos on Survivalist boards, a prepper/survivalist website. It'll be under The Dark Side and where I started a thread titled for those who build models, showing stuff I've bought, screwed around with and was working on. Just before I got covid, bought 2 3D resin printers via Ebay....one new, with a much larger build plate, the other used and regular sized build plate. Have down-loaded 4-5K worth of free files of stuff I'll use in other dioramas as they're not available as kits and too lazy to scratch build. Like baby cribs, baby incubators, hospital beds, restuarant stoves/freezers, windows. tables. chairs, portable generators, etc. Everything you see around you in life. I've LOOKED on YT and there are NO videos I can find showing how to actually convert plastic figures. Will be changing military figures into civilians/zombies for example. was working on one of the Master Box pin up girls so she'll be wearing a shirt, pants and shoes instead of a 2 part 1940's/1950's swim suit. From Italeri, they have French partisans and ICM has their WW 2 Soviet resistance figures. As to weapons, not everyone's going to be toting AR-15's/AK-47's/katana's. Axes, bows, crossbows, along with a lot of WW 2 weapons/gear. TRYING to learn cad, but it's been kicking my ass. Started buying a lot of 1/32 diecast vehicles, then discovered they're also available (but not as much) in 1/36 scale. But they all need work like seat belts/ shoulder harnesses, etc. Also got a few 1/32 semi-truck and trailer kits and since I drove truck for 15 years, I KNOW what those kits are missing. And there's a bunch of mil-surplus vehicles owned by people, so I'll be using them too.
Thanks, Mark :"-) I'm glad you're thinking about revisiting the series. It has lots of great plot lines and characters, and the most original zombies I've ever seen!
@@OstrichLongneck Rush jobs are stressful for sure. I went though the same with my cylon raider 2 weeks ago. Got it finished 30 minutes before the model contest started. Not a recommended path for sure. Haha

Hi there. Just found your channel and had to subscribe. I love what you did with this diorama. it taught me a few things about how to make figurines into other figurines, if you catch my meaning. LOL. If you don’t mind me asking, do I detect a South African accent there? If so, I’m from Benoni. Thanks so much for the video and please take care.
Hi, thanks very much for checking out the channel and especially for subscribing! You are correct regarding the South African accent. My friend and I upload videos to the channel, and we live on the West Rand in Gauteng, quite close to you. We've just been a little quiet of late, but we'll be creating content again soon. I'm always glad to hear that I could help someone in some small way. Thanks again for the sub! Much appreciated!
@@OstrichLongneck hi there. That’s pretty awesome. I hope the channel is growing for you. I don’t actually live in Benoni anymore.. I actually live in England now and have done since 98. My grandfather on my moms side was in the RAF and was posted to Rhodesia and that’s how we all came to be in Africa. My folks moved to South Africa when I was about four. Once again, thanks for such a great channel to watch because it was really informative and I like that. I like learning new ways to make my diorama better. Take care of yourself and blessings to you and your family from the UK.

By the way, did you notice the how long the video is? It took a bit of creative editing, haha!
Loving all of your content! Great work!
Wow, thank you very much 🙂This one had a deadline, which added to the fun element!

Thanks very much! It was rushed towards the end, to make the Halloween deadline, LOL. But a heck of a lot of fun to build!
