It turned out so good. Wow . The lights are bring this ship to life. Really impressive. I admire your work especially the fiberoptics. Awesome. Really screen accurate. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much! Adding lights to a model is quite challenging at times, but it definitely makes a difference, especially with Sci-Fi models. Thanks very much for your kind comment! Much appreciated!
Thank you kindly :-) I wanted to add more weathering, but eventually decided against it. It was a very nice kit to put together, considering its age! Thanks very much for stopping by, and leaving such an awesome comment!
Thanks very much, Mark 😁I, too, have many fond memories of watching the TV series as a child! The Starfighter is a beauty! Thank you so much for visiting!
Thank you very much! It was my ultimate kit, too. So much so, that it took 5 years for me to build up the courage to build it. I almost died of fright when I cracked the canopy during the build. Thank you so much for watching and taking time to leave a comment! Much appreciated!
Thank you so much, Salvador. The lighting wouldn't have been possible without your awesome Arduino code! I managed to use it in all three of the Buck Rogers builds! Sorry for only replying now. You Tube somehow neglected to inform me!
A bit of lighting adds a lot to a model and improves the final result. I'm sure yours turned out really nice. I build all sorts of things, too. Figures, dioramas, armor - there are so many different kits out there 😀
Splendid model Trevor! A wonderful piece of lateral thinking about using those wheel spokes in the engines! They really look excellent. ...and the base is a huge improvement on the one in the kit. Nice one!
Always wanted that kit as a kid. But omg the cost of buying one on ebay is beyond my budget. Would love to build one someday but I doubt it will ever happen.
As a kid, I would have been in heaven if I had this kit! They are prohibitively expensive on eBay, and the guy I bought it from stiffed me with the shipping, too! That said, it's a fun, easy kit to build and a good size, too. I hope you can find one that's more reasonably priced, as I'm sure you would enjoy putting it together. Thank you so much for visiting and leaving a comment!
I must say I prefer this to the Star Wars designs . certainly a good basis to work on . good work Trevor amazing LED's . ( new hafen-schlepper video on my channel now .)
Thanks, Fred 😁 I might be wrong, but I think this one was designed by the same guy who created the Star Wars Snowspeeder. Thanks very much for checking out the video. I haven't been on RUclips much because we have heaps of load shedding nowadays (our country's infrastructure is crumbling) but I'll be sure to check your latest video 🙂
You are so correct! A razor saw would have been ideal for the job. I wish I had thought of using one. I think I'll be using them exclusively with clear parts from now on😁. Thanks for the great tip!
You're right, the pilot was way too big. I had to sand him down like crazy to squeeze him into the cockpit. Funny enough, the pilot I used in the Marauder fit much better. I guess the scales of these are way off.
Thanks very much! To be honest, the lighting was a pain in the rear! Plus, I had heaps of light leaks. Your starfighter was shaping up nicely in the last video you posted. I'm pretty sure you did a decent job with it in the end! Thanks for stopping by, you are much appreciated!
It's Cluck Rogers !
LOL brilliant! I wish I'd thought of that before uploading the video! 10/10!!!
Brings back memories from my boyhood 😊😊
Mine too 😁! The series was dubbed into Afrikaans over here, which was sacrilegious! Luckily I got to see the proper English version later on!

Damn! Gorgeous final result 😊

Really enjoyed the show as a kid. I'd forgotten all about this kit. Very nice work . Lighting looks great too

Magnificent!!!!! Incredible build 🤩
Thanks very much. I managed to build it between the load sheddings 🤣Miss you stacks! 😘❤❤❤
That's very cool. Had no idea that the kit even existed.
Thanks, Dan 😀It's definitely an oldie!
A pleasure to view. This is my ultimate grail kit.

Wow she looks amazing fantastic job
Thanks, Travis 😁 It took ages to edit this video with all our load shedding! 😵💫
Great job Trevor, those thrusters are very eye catching and those leds add a lot to the model
Thanks, Joe😃 Much appreciated. I've been putting this one off for a long time.
Nice. I some time added led to my model kit(not ship or plane sadly).

Nice one!
Thanks, Alon 😁 It took me a while to get around to this one. I need to work on my light-blocking skills, haha! Thanks for checking out the video!
Looks awesome.
Thanks very much, Rick! My light blocking sucked a bit, but she still looks pretty! Much appreciated!

If you use a razor saw to cut the canopy off the sprue it will not cause stress on the part.

Really nice build, that pilot looks too big though.
I think that ship us more like 1/48 scale

Nice job :)
Mine didn't turn out quite as good, I didn't do any lighting.

Thanks again. I really should find the video files and make the finish edit of the kit. Hopefully by this winter... :)
