Thanks! Looking back, there's a lot of parts in this AMV that I tried to mesh together with the song. It wasn't just transitions, but I also chose scenes specifically because they related to the lyrics in some way!
I have watched this AMV i can say over 100 times, and i must say this is one of the best AMV's i have seen in a long time! Very good job man! Keep it up for sure!

I try to make my AMVs as high in quality as I can, and I'm still improving, but really thanks for the encouragement. I really try to put a lot of effort/time in my AMVs, so I make sure to never leave a scene un-synced. Of course, i'm not perfect, but comments like yours really make me happy. Thanks!

lol aww, yeah :) I tried to make the lyrics and the song match up a little bit. The lyrics in that part say "I leave when others stay, I never re-decide, I don't mind if you wait, But I don't waste my time". So Ace running away from Luffy, while in the next scene, we see a glimpse of Sanji and Zoro standing up to fight Kuma :P I don't know if anyone analyzes my AMVs, but this one in specific has a few messages that relate to the lyrics. And yeah, I miss Ace too :(
And what HE wants, lets say it's Luffy singing LOL,something that he refuses to justify to the marines, the way he lives, protecting his nakamas, and he likes where he's going(dat huge smile half of face) and he's crazy sometimes ya know..
10 seconds in and I already feel like i'm in for a treat. Bottom left of the screen has the name of the song, artist, anime, and creator. Not in bold whit all caps text at the beginning of the video against a drab blue background. The scenes change in time with the beat. Not every 45 seconds or more. This didn't suck. It was actually good. More then I expected considering the last 10 videos I stumbled across.
+james atter Thank you! The word you're looking for is rarely, or infrequently. There are a few reasons, but mostly because I've just been too busy. I also try to find inspiration when I make AMVs, so until it hits me, I don't find the motivation to work, haha.
i think you did a great job trying to match the lirics of the song with scenes that somehow describe or relate to it, the first time the lirics *the water is fine* are said a suitable scene with a bit of sea behind luffy is shown but on the second time no sea is shown =/ althou this is an scene where i think they were close to the sea and talking about it the lack of some sea on the scene doesnt make it very explicit :s. Also props on great video quality, keep making amv

this song gives hope...especially with one piece...fucking sanji and zoro are a major inspiration! Zoro has been through so much that his eyes have become blank now...his sole purpose is to be there for whoever is there needing him...he has seen death and worse Sanji was an orphan too with no love of ANY kind... girls reject him alot too, and trust me hearts dont heal fast, but he is a gentleman, he keeps his head up...his life seems tough(which is why he smokes so damn often)
Thank you. I was thinking about something along of the lines of what you just mentioned. I mean, not all AMVs are meant to perfectly represent what the anime is about. So sometimes song choices can be a little bit off when used with an anime.

@Arrancarization Well the most important thing about Music videos is the sync a lot of the time. If you allow a scene to run for too long it won't seem like you put effort into the editing. Timing is important, but also making sure you have solid transitions. Songs have HUNDREDS of transitions, but that doesn't mean you have to use all of them. Stick to a few good ones and just try to more or less have your own style. Last tip, don't use movie maker. Try more advanced programs.

Actually there is a huge difference. It isn't just you. The animation has changed a lot since the show originally started. Mostly because the manga has changed as well so they adapted a different style as it went along. This happens all the time though with long running animes.
