@nathanmasters5 Probably something like episodes 515-525. There will probably be a filler for each Straw Hat, showing them in training, either 2 of them an episode or 1 episode for each. Plus there's still a little bit of stuff to go through until they see each other. It's possible Buggy is going to be a shichibukai.

Frankly, we can't compare these animes. Each one is in a class of its own,whether it is DBZ, Bleach, KHR, Shippuden, One Piece, Fairy Tail, and so on. They each have different stories and a batlling style unique to themselves.
People says that one piece was better before the timeskip... I tend to agree, fishman island and punk hazard wasn't that great compared (still good though) but maaan! I love the dressrosa arc! It's so full of surprises and for you who only watch the show - (don't worry no spoilers) it's gonna go down and i can't wait! :) The only thing i don't like about after timeskip is that i feel the animation is getting lazy... The anime style of OP.. i feel it was better before :P but maybe they'll fix that in some upcoming fights.

Some EVIIIIIIL plot that the straw hat crew needs to stop , an unbeatable enemy defeated with lots of will power and luck and little to no ability and lots of random peoples dramatic stories and crying .

The only way to compare would then be measuring epicness derived from these animes. In this way you can easily compare Death Note with Code Geass as both have a similar feel to them.

Without DBZ , one piece wouldn't exist. Since DBZ was one of the anime that started the shounen genre. you shouldn't be comparing the two as they existed in completely different time periods and the shounen genre has evolved.

this was the moment, the episode where one piece went from the happy show it was, to the neer ending painful experience, with time and time again luffy being pushed past his limits suffering from physical but more importantly emotional pain. the loss of his crew, the fear of losing ace, the loss of bon-chan, the death of his brother right infront of his eyes....i never once cried to an anime, and yet through that saga my eyes burnt continously. i hope the one piece saga never ends!
Paramecia normally means you can create an element from your body but not be made of it, Mr 3 is a perfect example he's not made of wax but can endlessly produce it, Gecko Moria is another example. Ace for a logia example, is physically made of fire as seen when he is physically hit. Luffy is definitely a Logia in my opinion but doesn't share the immunity's Smoker and Ace have because you can actually hit rubber. That is my understanding :)
They got seperated, in which, they were all sent to different islands (complex) and then a war broke out, ace died, and then they spent two years apart, and are now back, and luffy has already pissed off one of the emporers
dbz in my opinion is the king of anime.. but with one piece i found i felt more of a connection with some characters and ended up enjoying the series far more and its far from over :D
