Lyrics:
I am so in love with you
I just can't deny it
Everybody knows I can't deny it
Everybody knows
You can read me like a book
Just like a fortune teller
Everybody needs a fortune teller
Telling you the very truth
You bring me feelin'
You bring me fire
You give me love that's taking me higher
Just goes to prove
What one good woman can do
You bring out the best in me
With love and understanding
Anytime I need some understanding
You are always there
And if I ever lose my way
You're always there to guide me
Anyone can see you're here inside me
Anyone can see it
You bring me feelin'
You bring me fire
You give me love that's taking me higher
Just goes to prove
What one good woman can do
You fill me with hope
Love and devotion
You taught me how to show my emotion
Just goes to prove
What one good woman can do
This is our time, we have it all
We have a way of knowing if we're heading for a fall
We'll work it out and get it right
And when I get home to you
You're such a sight for my poor eyes
This is our time, we have it all
When I come home at night
You're such a sight for my poor eyes
You bring me feelin'
You bring me fire
You give me love that's taking me higher
Just goes to prove
What one good woman can do
You fill me with hope
Love and devotion
You taught me how to show my emotion
Just goes to prove
What one good woman can do

Peter Cetera’s voice and talent forever timeless! One of the all time greatest.
I remember driving somewhere with my dad when this song came on the radio. I could tell he was thinking of one person. His wife and my mother. I love you Mom.
I was born in 1981 and around 10 I fell in love with Chicago. More importantly I LOVED Peter Cetera only to find out he wasn’t part of the group anymore. So I went on a hunt for his solo work and it’s been a love affair ever since. 🥰🥰
Nice, pretty similar to me (85 baby) and I heard both Chicago's and Peter's solo music on VH1 and pop radio as a kid, got all of his solo albums in middle school (1998/99) and really liked the deep cuts too.
❤😊
@@JPMcFly1985You got into Chicago and Peter Cetera when radio didn't accept their music anymore. I grew up in the 80s during their second wave of popularity. I remember when I heard Peter went solo and the following summer I heard an incredible magical song called Glory of Love, it was him, Peter Cetera, I knew that was going to be a number one song and in August it was for two weeks. Chicago got a replacement and they were still making hits without him. It seemed like they were going to keep making hit songs into the 1990s. Nope, radio embraced grunge, hip hop and alt rock, but Chicago and Peter kept making music but not as much and they were now in the adult contemporary charts not top 40 anymore.
Yes I discovered Chicago and Peter Cetera recently. Great music and stirs the emotions. I am playing some of the songs on piano especially 'Hard to say I'm sorry'
@@eamongaffney3972I wore out cassette tapes in the 80's leaning piano parts for both Chicago and his solo stuff. Even some of their 70's songs sound shit hot on piano. 😊
I miss the 80s when life was simpler when we could scrape our knees and eat dirt and our immune systems would fight it off. We didnt have to sanitize so much...kids played outside until the sun went down, not sit at home playing video games. Life was more care free and rock music and lovr music had more passion. I reminisce of the 80s like they were yesterday and my memory is sharp as a tack
I totally agree, we were all robust with character, hope and optimism for the great future ahead....roll on 2021......x
so so true! what a better life it was back then!
So true
Amen
This country was still sane rational and fully functioning in the 80s. There was no division. We were all united and still cared about each other despite our differences. I'm 46 so I remember the 80s as an elementary school kid growing up on the same block all those years with the same close friends I still have to this day. I literally grew up in the Wonder Years of the 1980s.
One of the best singers/song writers of my time growing up as the 80's began.
the intensity of this song is underrated. let's make it at least 50 million ffs!
Love this song! For me it's one Peter's best, his voice is one of a kind.
His voice is iconic.
Chicago Look Away is better
Yes, it’s beautiful and love his range in this one : ) I especially love the verses.
So smooth………full of emotion.

My Peter Cetera favorite song
Great singer. One of my favorite voices of all time.
agreed
The backing vocals he delivered here are mindblowing
I'm agree
I miss the 80’s.
I miss VH1 and MTV
When they played music videos.
That time before the internet.
Life was more innocent.
Yeah, innocent. With the war on drugs, the AIDS epidemic and trickle down economics. Life was great back then
@@mrcrandberry6115 loser!
Those were the good ol days.
@@mrcrandberry6115 what a stupid comment.
@@tims7738 sorry for telling the truth
Cetera's 80s solo songs are so underappreciated and diverse. Most people only know a few of his ballads, but I love this one and even how it switches from being a ballad to (kinda) fast tempo pop/rock and back again lol.
+JPMcFly1985Two This song sounds good so far. I've only heard Glory of Love from the Karate Kid Part 2, and that was because a friend shared the music video with me
+JPMcFly1985Two 80's best generation ..period
That's true, he pretty much went full blown AC after the early 90s and faded into obscurity, but Chicago (even tho they're AC soft rock too) has stayed well known.
Yeah, I imagine also if he had done these songs with Chicago (they'd sound a little different too lol, but that's another story) and was still with the band, they would be more well known today too.
Its awesome
This song came out just as I met my wife for the 1st time on a blind date
We celebrate 30 years this October
Love her the same as I did on our first date.
God has Blessed me
I sing this to my wife, my 2nd, when I got it right. We've been together now 16+ years, 11+ married.
One of my favorite songs by Peter Cetera.❤
I remember when I was a child his music made me cry: that's how much I loved his voice. and to this day, his voice never aged a bit. Such a talented artist. I Love You Peter Cetera
Funnily he was “old” to me even back then as a kid in the 80s.
I’m listening to Peter right now for the first time in my life.... WHERE WAS I THIS WHOLE TIME??? HIS VOICE IS MAJESTIC!
There is such an array of great and talented musicians from the 70s and 80s that it’s hard to hear them all. Especially for people who didn’t grow up in the errs or on this music.
@@futurewisdomtoday I know that now but I didn’t at the time.

Peter Cetera is a legend, a true professional and passionate artist in all aspects!!! Thanks Pete for all your great work, fantastic songs and entertainment you have provided us over all these years!!
jim stock This is so true , he's the best !!!!!!!

A true role model and great inspirator👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Well said Jim Stock.
One of the very best singers his songs solo are actually better than the ones he sang in Chicago
@@mbalbaldwin3829 He brought the band Chicago through their rough patch and still we thank him for that.
The days back when i was ten, wearing plum smuggler shorts, a mesh tank top and roller skated to this in my grandpas driveway.
I wanna go back

It's almost May 2024 now and your statement is still true to this day!!!!!
It is so sad that they do not make songs like this any more. This is a beautiful love song and I miss those days when artists made songs like this. Peter Cetera has a beautiful voice and has made a lot of great songs. He is one of my favorite singers...
I tell my boyfriend that if I ever leave him it will only be for Peter Cetera. His voice is unreal!
Timeless voice! Timeless song!
Incredible voice. Backbone of Chicago and tremendous solo artist.
Peter Cetera has a golden voice! Plain beautiful!!
yes
His voice touches my soul😍😍
Like a bell.
Peter setera has a wonderfulvoice.

One of the 50 best love songs ever written. Lyrics like this stand the test of time.
Peter Cetera has it all. God-given talent for singing with a very distinctive voice that can soar to great heights, writing beautiful songs that connect to people, and playing a very skillful bass. To top it off, he is very handsome and sexy. No wonder the other guys from Chicago were a little jealous.
PETER is so unique , just a music genius , no one like him !!!!!
Another great Peter Cetera song from the 1980's!
A great song, a great voice and a fantastic album. Love other songs as well from this album
A huge fan of Peter Cetera
My favorite song by Peter Cetera! Love, love! ❤️

Sweet Melissa This is a classic!
AnnaElly Awesome lyrics
Hard to say in words the meaning this song conveys in our hearts......
Mine too
EVERY MAN NEEDS A GOOD WOMAN , I TRULY BELIEVE I CAN BE THAT TOO
👍
While best served as a soloist's song, had Cetera stayed with Chicago this would have garnered huge acclaim for the group.
It's a dynamite song when Cetera sings it and I regard it as the magnum opus of his solo career. I love it.
(Edited for spelling)
Great song from the one and only great Peter Cetera...loooove this song!...no one can sing like Peter😍
Thanks Peter, for all the great music through the years.
His song "She Doesn't Need Me Anymore" guarantees me breaking out into tears every freakin' time I hear it. Why? He puts his heart into every note.
This has always been my fav Peter Cetera song cuz it's passionate, melodic, energetic & well...just so damn catchy.
It's just a shame that most ppl only think of him as doing slow ballads. This song & many others that he did back in the 80's, solo & with Chicago, proved he could rock with the best of them.
***** He was def pigeonholed. I referred to the avg listener not really knowing his music earlier but I mostly blame his record company & radio stations for that. They seemed to think that all anyone wanted to hear were the romantic ballads. Don't get me wrong. I luv those too but unless you bought one of Cetera's albums, you'd never know the guy did anything but ballads.
Also, couldn't agree with you more about One More Story. It's an amazing album & it's always been my fav of his. He seemed to find just the right balance of pop/rock & a contemporary sound on that one. My fav song on there after this one is "Scheherezade".
Tobias Chance I miss the 80s
@@coolcat6303 good comment. Agree on all said. You know Madonna, sang back-up on Scheherezade.
Nobody else would unless they found out form Peter or her. It was when Madonna was still viable.
@@coolcat6303 Peace of Mind, There in the Dark, and Save Me, Holdin Out were my favorites from One More Story.
@@lamarravery4094 Did you know that "Save Me" was the original theme song for the TV series "Baywatch" and that "One Good Woman" was actually used in season 1 episode 17 ?????
Always loved this song. Peter’s voice is amazing!
Nowadays all voices are enhanced so much its ridiculous. Peter has the most electric sounding voice in the industry and just as good live 2020 I still have his CD in my car on play ▶️♥️
Loved living my best years in the 80’s with puffy feathered hair with tons of hair spray. Chinese fire drills, playing outside all day and into the evening, playing kick the can, cowboys & Indians, so much about this time era was fun and carefree
I have followed this man since back in his Chicago days and have every album of both !….He is the ultimate talent!..♥️♥️♥️♥️
This is a fantastic song; hadn't heard it for many years, until just now on radio.... didn't know it was Peter Cetera song.
One of the most amazing voices of all time!
Exceptional voice , one of the best voices you're ever going to hear what a natural instrument Peter has
Still awesome. 72 and still kicking it. Wish I knew where's his next concert is going to be.love you Peter ceter.
👍💪
I love Peter Cetera. Great voice!
I just saw him in concert last week. Phenominal!!! Lots of ballads and Chicago tunes. Worth every penny. This girl who grew up in the 70's had the best time singing along with every song!

@@angelgirl7473 Well depends when in the 70's you were born, Iwas born in 81 so was born and grew up in the 80's + 90's
I saw Peter in Oshkosh WI a few years back. Saw him in Green Bay WI before that. His show in Green Bay was mostly his solo hits and duets. However, at the show in Oshkosh he sang Chicago songs also. Both shows were excellent. He is phenomenal in my book too!
One of ceteras best.. Been listening to it for over 25 years.. One of my favourite songs of all time
I can never get enough of this beautiful voice!♥️♥️♥️
Thank you from Sweden 🇸🇪. Peter Cetera! 💕🤗
WHen I rode the schoolbus in 87 the driver would have the radio song. I'd hear this and daydream about finding a woman like this when I got older. It's a perfect song
A very nice song¿
I think most of the singers and bands in 80’s are the best composers and singers.
One of my all time favorite songs, that I forget for awhile, but then hear it somewhere and once again I am in love. With the song!! And this time it will remain right there in my memory The overdubbing of his voice and the harmony totally rocks. The piano adds a ton to this as well Whatever he sang was great, this just being my favorite of his many gems!!!!!!!!!!
This song has a special meaning for me. My boyfriend said this was how he felt and my heart breaks now. He's no longer here and I'll never forget this.
ONE good WOMAN is the keeper of miracles!
How the hell have I managed to come this far in life without hearing this song until now? 😍🤩😍
well its about time Christine , enjoy .
Even a fool can see is another one you need to hear by Cetera.
It’s a great song to play!!!!
U livin under a rock?!?! Lol jk. Must be a millenial !

This hit from Peter Cetera was the 598th #1 song on Billboard's Adult Contemporary charts.
Peter Cetera’s voice is magical 😍

A very, very happy 77th birthday Peter Paul Cetera. September 13, 1944 Chicago, Illinois.. A living legend in rock/pop music. We love Chicago and especially your solo music. Cheers and many, many more Peter Paul..
Such a tasteful classy song 🎵. Most “artists” today couldn’t hold a candle to Cetera
I still love this song. This is honestly my favorite Peter Cetera song.
Some songs are ageless and this love song will last long after many of us are gone. Let's hope that another generation of music lovers will discover Peter Cetera and his fabulous voice. The Centurion
Peter Cetera at his best.
How could I have ever forgotten about this song! It came out when I was 17, I loved it back then, and I still love, love it...probably even more now! Peter Cetera sings it soooo well! So beautiful! I hope that I am THIS WOMAN for my husband.

He's so great! Faithfully is my favorite song from him. I even remember in the 90s when RnB singers would always sample his music. He's just amazing.
Definitely my favorite Peter Cetera solo song, and the only one of his solo songs that I really like if I'm honest.I'm MUCH more of a fan of 70's Chicago but this is a great and beautiful song.
They just don't get any sharper than this cat...

Peter Cetera just makes everything he does just come alive with his extraordinary voice his duets are just the best his solos are awesome it's 2022 and I still can't help coming back to listen to this song even after over a decade.
Peter Cetera. The only voice that can’t be duplicated.
Whether you like or hate Peter Cetera his powerful voice is unique.
Pretty accurate
And steve perry
I would agree that Steve Perry definitely has one of the most iconic & recognizable voices in music history. . . however, I prefer Peter Cetera because most of the lyrics of the songs he recorded (as a solo artist and/or with CHICAGO) are about relationships. . . And to me, carry deeper meaning & feelings of love, despair, hope, sorrow, joy etCETERA. . .
Steve Winwood too! Different but very recognizable
