Who's here in 2025 and still feeling every word of this timeless masterpiece? 🙋‍♀ Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes" goes beyond just a song-it's a journey into the very essence of love and human connection. The lyrics encapsulate the profound longing to be seen and understood by someone who loves you deeply. It's about finding a sense of belonging and seeing yourself through the eyes of someone who truly gets you. This song touches the core of our souls and continues to resonate across generations. 🌟✨
Hope this helps! Enjoy the heartfelt beauty of the music. 🎶

Lost my wife to cancer in less than three months. This song means so much to me.
'In her eyes, the light, the heat, in her eyes, in her eyes, I felt complete, in her eyes'.
Thank you for making me cry and also feel better.
She was my world, and our 2 daughters world, gone too soon at 42 from cancer.

I'm blown away that my comment was highlighted and I've no idea if this is actually Peter Gabriel's official page, nor do I care.
The honour and respect goes to him for making such beautiful music.

Yes. I just watched a video that this doctor talks about how this song to him is about the child version of us. How we abandon that version of us. How to heal we have to reconnect with that child. It’s our younger us looking towards us to be the parents/ love we didn’t have. Listening as a grown man at 40 with a family of his own. This takes me back to being a kid instantly. One of, if not one of the most emotional songs every written. The 80's were incredible. Always feel my eyes welling up when I hear this.

1982...my divorce...it was the best diet I ever went on...lost weight...lost my feelings...learned what true hatred and bitterness was...if it wasn't for my 3 beautiful sons I would never have made it. I love you all SO much...Erik, my oldest BRAIN, Bradley, my very old soul and my middle baby Michael...gone from all of us too soon...the world, your daughter , brothers and me...mom. I love you...

I'm suspended in time, it's 1986, I'm in my room, listening to the radio and this song comes on, when I open my eyes, this will be in a mind trip, I'm 15.....sigh, music suspends you from aging, it transports you back to the age you were when you first heard a song. Hey, I was single then and just as dorky and awkward 😅

"The Living Years" by Mike + The Mechanics also gives me this same haunted nostalgic feeling. It will never be the same again. Milks my emotions dry every time & takes me back.....❤‍🩹
