Bigskunkyherer I agree...but the fact is that in 2050’s , we’ll say , these days’ music can’t match with 2000’s, 2010’s and 20’s ! Its just our emotional connection evoked with this past memories dipped in music ...great music comes in every age bro :) but again 70’s 80’s and 90’s music is mesmerizing unequivocally.
@5,ooo LightYears Away True that! Of course, back in the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, at least the good stuff was more played on the radio and MTV. You have to work harder to find the good music nowadays.
Great times they were, musically for certain. Do you remember waiting for someone's new album to come out, getting it, going home and excitedly listening from start to finish with the headphones on? Such happy times!
FnA right man. Hell yes it was great. Cruising and jamming out..... When you had to actually interact with other human beings....and you didn't have anonymity on a computers.....if you ran that pie hole there was a good chance you'd get it split open.....so you were more polite and considerate. I miss those days when a boy had nuts and girls had butts.

A few years later, after that movie came out, I was a freshman in college, and my boyfriend copied that scene from the movie after we had a fight and played this song on his boombox down below my dorm room window 😂
Peter's masterpiece also introduced me to Laurie Anderson's great work. - And she to Philip Glass and Adrian Belew. Excellent Birds and Gravity's Angel are two incredibly good songs.
@@shellyfagan5794 I remember Phil Collins in an interview. The interviewer said, wow your songs are so deep so meaningful, where does that come from? His reply was no where I just write they don't mean any thing. I personally thought that was a fabulous answer. Singers writers etc aren't spiritual masters, sure they are creative but we all are. The power to give birth is more of a spiritual connection to the universe than writing or singing a song.

My parents grew up during these times and listened to these fantastic artists. I’m thankful that they did and were able to share the greatest era of music to me.
We wish more people your age could relate….
Cool tho.
You must have great parents!

This song will never be old, sounds as new as it was 1st released.
"In your eyes I am complete"
This song reminds me so much of my late husband Adam. Whenever he saw me coming through the door, his eyes would light up. Of course, mine would do the same. I miss you Sweets.
Beautiful
Keep him in your heart.
Wonderful memory
Awww...I'm sorry, my dear. 😔
wow. I had to tell my husband to look up and say hi to me when I got home. I'm sorry for your loss, that's not fair at all.
One of the most beautiful songs ever created. In fact this entire era of Peter's work is very special.
...sono italiana...parlo bene l'inglese ma preferisco esprimermi nella mia lingua...semplicemente MERAVIGLIOSO. Quando desidero ascoltare qualcosa di veramente bello e finalmente musicale, c'è solo Peter...😊🤗
Why can't today's music be this good? This is so beautiful.
None of today's music even comes close to the 70's,80,s, 90's
Bigskunkyherer
I agree...but the fact is that in 2050’s , we’ll say , these days’ music can’t match with 2000’s, 2010’s and 20’s !
Its just our emotional connection evoked with this past memories dipped in music ...great music comes in every age bro :) but again 70’s 80’s and 90’s music is mesmerizing unequivocally.

@5,ooo LightYears Away True that!
Of course, back in the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, at least the good stuff was more played on the radio and MTV. You have to work harder to find the good music nowadays.
ImNotBatman
That’s deep... Can’t say I disagree.
Sadly an era that can never be repeated nor replicated.
Honored to have witnessed and been part of the 80s.
Great times they were, musically for certain. Do you remember waiting for someone's new album to come out, getting it, going home and excitedly listening from start to finish with the headphones on? Such happy times!
GREAT Rematk..
FnA right man. Hell yes it was great. Cruising and jamming out..... When you had to actually interact with other human beings....and you didn't have anonymity on a computers.....if you ran that pie hole there was a good chance you'd get it split open.....so you were more polite and considerate. @@sinkingisland7769 yes.....it was awesome. And recording your songs on tape off the radio.....it sounded like ass but you were glad to have it.....and you sang over it anyway.....so it really didn't matter.

I’m 50 now and growing up in the 80’s as a teenager when “SO “ album came out was amazing , my dad introduced it to me while driving around in his new Ford Orion ghia injection and I still love it now ! I go see my mum and dad now and a nice bottle of wine we stick that album on ! Never had an album I’ve listened to that brings back great memories ! Wish he still had the Orion

I think anyone who is in a long term relationship can benefit from the words of this song 😊
Peter Gabriel is the best. Are you in a relationship
The scene from say anything with john Cusack...with the radio...timeless❤
Beautiful scene! That´s bravery.
A few years later, after that movie came out, I was a freshman in college, and my boyfriend copied that scene from the movie after we had a fight and played this song on his boombox down below my dorm room window 😂

Number one Peter Gabriel ❤
'So' is simply one of the best albums ever created. Peter is a genius. And this song...
Peter's masterpiece also introduced me to Laurie Anderson's great work. - And she to Philip Glass and Adrian Belew. Excellent Birds and Gravity's Angel are two incredibly good songs.

Definitely an unforgettable song.
I don't think Peter knew how powerful of an impact this song would be on any and everyone.
He wanted it to have an impact on Rosanna Arquette who the song was written for...
I think he did, and that's why he made it!
The older I become the more I realise how lucky we were to live with great artists- none better than this genius.
Music is mathematical and we use mathematics to understand the universe. Musicians touch the face of Creation. Peter Gabriel is a spiritual master.
@@shellyfagan5794 Sure I like Peter Gabriel, but that's a bit of a bold statement, fair play to you.
I am 14 but I can address that this is a piece of art! Bad they don’t make music like this in my generation...
You can change that.
I was 14 when this was released, 9th grade freshman year…
Maybe learn a second language I picked up on many good 80s songs in Spanish I had missed out before when the 90s rolled in I was ready for some new stuff .Though I have to admit not as good as 60s,70s & 80s but way better than now I suggest maybe Italian. One of the greatest songs ever written, Peter Gabriel is very underrated nowadays
This song isn't even in the top 100 of all time......not by a long shot
@@joshuagaffney4361 It all comes down to personal tastes. I'm sure there are people in the world who'd even put dreck like "I Like to Move It Move It" or "Who Let the Dogs Out" among the greatest songs ever written.
