      I have to point out, though, that when Bobby does his shopping videos, particularly at Aldi and Costco, most of the products he points out are processed snack foods. They may have "clean" ingredients, but they are still heavily processed (parmesan crisps, cauliflower crackers, etc.).

    You do know that roughly 70% of soy crops grown are used for animal feed? Sorry, you can’t get around that one. You know what is also inflammatory? Meat. High in saturated fat. While I agree that whole foods are the better option, this is setting a bad precedent. If people are going to eat unhealthy, at least let them choose the animal-free option.

    Shocker, but some people are plant-based because they care about animals and don’t want to pay for them to die. Also the amount of soy required to feed livestock is far greater than that eaten by humans. So if you truly care about the impact of soy on the environment you would stop eating meat.

    • @bloodymary3312
      @bloodymary3312 2 года назад +33

      @Stop Deleting My Account You will kill a lot less critters on a vegan diet, as a lot of crops need to be harvested to feed animals. Choosing the option which reduces harm the most is not a bad thing.

    • @bloodymary3312
      @bloodymary3312 2 года назад +7

      @Stop Deleting My Account Well, it's good that you're at least doing some effort. However, a lot of grass-fed cows are fed using grass pellets, which will also kill many critters during the process, and the cows are often still mistreated. Grass-fed farm animals also generally require even more space than other farm animals, leading to more destruction of the natural habitats of many animals. Crops require a lot less space. It should also be mentioned that meat in general is a lot worse for the environment, and global warming also leads to the destruction of habitats. In general, a vegan diet will lead to the least suffering. It can still be improved, such as a veganic diet. That would objectively be the best option.

    • @bloodymary3312
      @bloodymary3312 2 года назад +8

      @Stop Deleting My Account I don't feel morally superior, you're the one saying that, I never said that. I don't feel like someone who is vegan is morally superior than someone who eats meat. Personally, I just do it because it's better for animals, the environment and it's generally healthier. It's not difficult to be vegan to me, so I don't have any reason not to do it, that's all. I do try to convince others of the benefits of veganism and I don't see the problem with that. We're allowed to have a discussion about it, no?

      Did you know that most crops are worse for the environment than the cattle industry. They only ever talk about methane and greenhouse emissions from cattle but what’s worse is the nutrient pollution brought on by farming.(worked in the ag sector my entire life) 1. Clearing land for farming is an extensive and detrimental process which Involves burning brush and destroying habitats of hundreds and sometimes thousands of creatures. 2. During seeding phosphate pot ash ammonia products and large amounts of fertilizer are put in the ground to allow for crops to grow bigger and better allowing for better harvest seasons. Runoff from rain and watering Carries large amounts of these chemicals into streams rivers and other waterways. This decimates waterlife and habitats by causing algae growth blocking out sun and creating harmful chemicals in the water. Did you know that chemicals used in sprayers are known to cause lung cancer and skin cancer due to contact? Not to even mention the amount of diesel burned during the months of the growing and harvest season or the metric tons of water needed to keep crops such as Tabacco and corn healthy. Now compare that to a ranching operation that has grazing pastures and feed bags. If your going to try to convince others your way of life is better for the environment you should be educated in what goes into your food because it’s not just water and seed, it’s a whole host of environmentally destabilizing things. It's really shows the lack of knowledge. 95% of soy is made for industrial use done properly it's a great source of protein but you can always substitute so many different things like fava beans for other protein sources. Sure you're right about processed ingredients the key is which ones have less processed because you can eat fruit all day long or vegetables all day long people need a bit of variety. That's how you convert people. why don't you compare what goes inside meat compared to these happy substitute and you'll see there's a world of difference. @@JAK-oi2wu you’re both wrong. You absolutely can meet all your dietary needs on a plant based diet. The examples you cite do happen, but not because of eating plant based but doing it poorly. I will agree mixing meat into your diet definitely makes it easier to get all your nutrients. However almost all the meat people eat is processed which does cause a variety of health issues the least of which being cancer. Certain meat should be avoided whether it’s processed or not like red meat.
      At the end of the day if you’re going to be vegan make sure you’re eating a Whole Foods diet and avoiding vegetable oils, soy, etc. Just because something is plant based does NOT mean it’s good for you. But that’s anecdotal.
      Agree agree agree
      4.) I don’t think this is necessary or even good advice. However if someone is buying 💩 meat from a factory farm, processed or not, it may cause health problems and I personally wouldn’t advocate supporting those practices bc of meat quality and animal welfare. It’s all disgusting.
      5.) plant farms are arguably harmful. Cows are ruminant and sequester their carbon output They also release nearly all the water the consume back into the environment and keep the soil fertile. They’re able to be on lands that plants can’t grow on and are arguably one of the best food sources. Nutrition wise and environmentally friendly wise. When raised properly that is. Factory farms need to go and pasture raised needs to become the new norm.

    You should change the title to “Eat real plants, not highly processed fake meats.” The Whole Foods Plant based has changed most of my family and they are all so much healthier than when they are dead animals and their fluids. I’m surprised you yourself haven’t tried it.. some people just don’t extend their kindness to animals, which isn’t all that great. No judgment, I was that way once too, until I met God and saw lives from the eyes of all beings and shown not to treat any animals the way we all grew up thinking we should. It’s so important if people want yo change the course of our plant. Energy is everywhere. What does anyone think the energy inside a living animal that was killed so someone could eat its body holds? Much more negativity than people think. I know because I have experienced it.
    Our planet needs huge changes and that starts with food. Start sprouting, get your community together to grow food forests, and if you have the land, plant your own. Stop funding corporate industries that drug you to get addicted to their foods and make people sick. I say this with nothing but a true Care for our planet. I hope anyone who reads this thinks about it. You are not your body. You are energy. And it all comes back to you. I could go into detail for anyone interested. Peace and God bless.
