I met Dan at a 16mm Cine Film workshop by Gauge Film in Birmingham a little while ago. Jolly nice chap, and very interesting to chat to over dinner about all things photographic.
Thanks for the shout out for our Acratech products. You do great work.
had a look at your stuff to after dan told me and damn you got some nice products
So glad you're back Marco! Thanks for the lovely video ;)
Nice to see you back and happy about your child :)
Awesome to see Dan!! Great video Marco
thanks my friend, you are on my list so watch out ;)
@@AnalogThings Im hiding ;)
Lovely video and good to see that all is okay and you haven't gone insane yet😜 good idea aswell to make this like a little "series". Can and will be very helpful for a lot of people!
is it helpfull?
@@AnalogThings yes, it shows how others travel and what is and isn't possible to do
THROWBACK!!
So he travels with two tons of gear and wears sweaters in July :) Joke aside, interesting video. I would like to see a follow up on the ondu.
dan really has a ton of stuff and no the video was recorded in april ;) good idea about the ondu, will write them
Hi Dan, on your leica's why not just cary diff. lenses instead of the two diff. cameras on the (my) right? I know you've got a good reason ; ) just wondeirng what it is. Thanks for the video!
I've done that a few times, but what I like about having these two cameras is that I don't have to worry about switching lenses (less chance for dropping anything, also less chance of dust), but also shooting two cameras that are functionally different - an SLR and a rangefinder - means I get two shooting styles, which makes a big difference for me. I'm not a big fan of 50mm on a rangefinder even though that's how I shot my M3 for the first few years (wider works better for the way I like to use a rangefinder), and this pairing keeps the rendering the same as the lenses are both Leica, but allows me to use the 50mm with a lot more control over what's in the frame and what's in focus, vs. the more loose style of framing and range focusing I tend to prefer with the rangefinder + 35mm focal length combination.
Does anyone know what causes a red glare/flash on a Polaroid picture ,seems to always be in the top left hand side of picture ,is it because my camera is bad or to much light , couldn't find an answer anywhere
too me that sounds more like a light leak, what camera are you using?
@@AnalogThings it's the one step 2 ! I just took some more pictures on a different pack of film and they came out pretty well ,but really could it be a light leak I was thinking it was something to do with the amount of light in the room
@@AnalogThings is there anyway I could send you pictures of it that way you could see what I mean
you could send them on instagram, but that sounds like a failure they sometimes have with the films.
@@AnalogThings just sent them !!!
Did you say "5 hundred terabytes" at 13:18 because I'm almost certain you meant gigabytes there. Unless I'm wrong in which case I need one of those drives.
gigabyte would be the right thing :)
🤣 only seeing this comment now and OMG haha what a thing to get wrong! I'll be the first one to sign up whenever Samsung starts making 5TB SSDs, assuming they don't cost my a lung or liver…
