Little thing I do to make soloing layers quicker for positioning anchor points - create a keyboard shortcut for layer solo (e.g. Alt-S) so that you can quickly toggle solo on and off for the layer you're working on. Thought I'd throw that out there - speeds up workflow.
Awesome video, Thanks! Please clarify...I drew the character in Procreate right? Then why are you importing a PSD file? Wouldn't you export directly from Procreate?
You could definitely export the psd from Procreate and use that within after effects! Bringing into photoshop after using procreate is just my personal process for quality-checking and labeling/organizing my layers :). Also was easier to screenshare for this video!
is there any course only for character matching style like , like explainer video has similar characters looks same feel ,style , I know bit about but I wanna know something in detail
How did you set up your procreate file so that it imported nicely into photoshop without losing definition with the brush you chose? How did you export it to be able to be brought into photoshop with layers?
I made my canvas in procreate 4K so I could immediately draw at high resolution (and setting my brush size accordingly) - so then in after effects I don’t have to worry about scaling up more and losing quality with my raster art! And you can export PSD’s direct from procreate. I synced it with my Dropbox account and opened it up on my PC to do some quality checking and be able to screenshare it easier with you all!
The title says procreate, but the illustration in the video was from photoshop. Would be helpful if you show that you can export procreate to psd, then psd to after effects.
Great point! I used photoshop for being able to show the illustrations and layers a bit easier, since screensharing and capturing that on procreate is kinda hard. But exporting psd’s out of procreate is definitely a great option for illustrators if no access to a cyntiq/tablet for photoshop!
Thanks for having me!!
You have such a relaxed and cheerful vibe. It was pleasure to watch.
Omggggg so happy to see you back 💗💗
Love this video, Audrey killed it!!!
