As much as I know a step by step tutorial has its place and it helps a lot sometimes, for example, to learn a specific technique, I much prefer a breakdown like yours, it feels so much more insightful to know your thoughts behind the piece. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge Emonee! Also, I loved the animation and design! 👌
I saw this posted on reddit. Was it you? This is amazing work. This kind of content is great because there are lots of basic motion design tutorials on youtube and after almost two years learning I'm starting to reach a point where I feel like most of them don't really teach me much anymore. Watching the actual process of artists who're more experienced than me teaches me and inspires me so much more. Thank you, I'll be waiting for the next video.
As someone who just got into adobe suite from an interest in AI images. I’m blown away, I almost finished a Toyota commercial in premiere pro, and have some more ideas. But just the skill, and creative ability you have is insane. I can’t wait to get to a point where I can just create whatever comes to my mind
This is GENIUS. You are one clever cookie. Creating the scene in 3d and then tracing over the top is just *chef's kiss*. What an amazing technique and the result is breathtaking. Well done!
I am so happy that you not only have NFT's but are also killing it in that field. Incredible work, doing incredible stuff with your platform- keep innovating!
This video was mind-blowing! I've never realised I could recreate roughly a scene in c4d to use it like a perspective reference. And Danny Stern plugin? whaaaaaat? Thank you so much for making this. ❤️
Hi Emonee! I’ve recently decided to have a major career change in my life from music to motion design. You’re one of the first modern artists I’ve learned about and I’m not just extremely impressed but also also inspired and motivated to get the ball rolling with my new adventure. I have a question for you, what school would you recommend I go to to learn the programs that you use? I’ve been going crazy looking for a school but it seems to me the internet is very vague with precise information. Thank you again for all the motivation and inspiration! God bless!
this is SO COOL!! Thank you so much for walking us through the creative process! it's the thing I struggle with most, it seems, coming up with ideas no matter how much reference material i look through. love your process, once again, thank you!
Great video, watching your process is far more interesting than a step by step tutorial for someone who's just curious about how these animations are created !
This is great stuff, I'm just getting into cinema4D and creating mockups for tracing with shape layers is a great idea! That stairs look so great, will definitely try that.
I love that your sense of peace has a lot of dark aspects to it! This definitely resonates with me for sure. I so get it, even like traveling through the door, it looks like one of those dreams you try to run but the door gets further, i can feel the anxiety with this rush to the door and the bath extending further. The body being filled with the dark space like just becoming one with the universe. Your perspective of being filled with mindfulness.. Love this when you do this you definitely find things to become greatful for and the expanded awareness, 👁🗨 . Love the whole breakdown and where you get your inspiration it is so you! 💟 Beautiful work 🙏
Love this! When I first saw the animation on your insta I was blown away. Seeing this breakdown is so helpful, inspiring, and makes me feel like creating work of this calibre is much more achievable. Thanks for this!!
this is awesome. so much beginner content out there. i think even beginners can benefit from seeing how someone creates advanced creative work. i know i do.
So, so, so incredibly helpful. Particularly enjoyed seeing your ideation process. It's been a long time since I've gotten genuine excitement from ma "tutorial" video. Thank you so much! ❤
Amazing work! Thank you for sharing this, Emonee. I really appreciate the window into your thought process and how you solve for the things you envision. So many useful tips.
What you accomplished here is amazing. And the different steps and the process was. . .wow. I don't think I'll get to that level. (At least not until I get a better computer with a much better graphic card. I was wondering, how long did this take overall, from concept to finished animation. I already overloaded my brain learning Premiere, Illustrator, and After Effects. Don't know if I'll ever get to Cinema 4D or Procreate. But it was awesome to see the possibilities.
Just getting inside the mind of an artist and understanding their thought process and focus when working through a project is always valuable knowledge, even if you don't use the same medium/tools as them. This video was also generally super insightful, thank you! Also thank you for that explanation of a vertigo shot! I've tried to reference that before in conversation, but never knew the name of the technique of how it was done.
This is an incredible animation and breakdown. I'm just curious as to why you didn't just bring the camera into the project and use it instead of keyframing all the paths? Speed of render? Transitions? Personal workflow?
because i was changing the path and didn't need the camera because i wasn't using anything in 3d. I tried using the 3d camera but it wasn't working properly
That was an awesome animation and a great walk-thru on how you achieved your effects. Videos like this are so beneficial to the broader community. Thank you for taking the time to share. :)
Love this, such a perfect breakdown! It’s cool to see such complex animations and then the process behind it and realize “oh wow, I know how to do all of that!” Super inspiring 😊
