Charles Siebert really was one of the best celebrity players on Pyramid. Other guys of that caliber were Barry Jenner, Henry Polic II, Levar Burton, and Billy Crystal. For the women I would say Shelley Smith, Adrienne Barbeau, Betty White, Vicki Lawrence, and Lauri Hendler.

Honorable mention would go to Nipsey Russell, Earl Holliman, Nathan Cook, Richard Kline, Audrey Landers, Elaine Joyce, Joann Worley, and Teresa Ganzel.
None of the players (celebrity or civilian) from the current Strahan version are anywhere near the same caliber as the players in the Dick Clark versions. They're too frenzied now, while they were much calmer then.

The players are nowhere near the caliber of those on the Clark version. The contestants look like they were sent from Central Casting to earn a few bucks. The celebrity guests are painfully awful. Strahan is not Dick Clark, and never will be. Clark had years of experience before he hosted the Pyramid. Strahan is an ex football player who has somehow made it on TV. You're right about frenzy. Even the audience set-up looks and sounds frantic. I love the Pyramid. Maybe it's time to consign it to "Game Show History" instead of creating "new version" that just don't work.

Early on they didn't have the crazy tough subjects. The next clue I would have had was the Fonz.

Do you happen to have the scene where a celebrity gave "Your genital organs" in a list for "Things Below The Waist"? I don't know who it was, but all I knew is that it caused quite a raucous with the audience. The backstage crew even lost their minds from this the racy clue, to the point where, a subject (trillion) was inadvertently turned to the money slide and some of the other trillions were "dancing," so to speak. (What other times have there been trillions twisting back and forth for no reason?)

Try most of the $100,000 wins ("The $100,000 Pyramid")... Lots of "dancing trilons" going down for those! #Lotsoffun ;-)
