I'm very glad to know that you like my videos. This motivates me to keep the level of doing good RC videos.
_Stay tuned for more in 2018_ 😉
How much does it go for the simple reason I trust ThePanther then built home planes that are out there for sale.
Awesome aircraft!
@@davidhernandez9985 _It depends on what turbine and electronics are used._
Where can I buy it this plane?
Superb model, piloting and camera work. I have one minor quibble: in order to completely appreciate the works of art these R/C models are, PLEASE show at least one scene (even a still shot at the beginning or end of the video) showing the plane in close proximity to a person to show its actual scale. I love your efforts to display each one as realistically as possible (done magnificently here in the taxiing scenes), but such an image allows us to appreciate the work that obviously goes into creating these triumphs of engineering and construction.
_Thank you for your great comment, which I really appreciate._
I fully understand your point of view. It's always hard to find an adequate thumbnail for the video.
I'll do my very best to improve my work ;)
Very cool! It really looked full scale at the beginning!
TAOFLEDERMAUS *_thank you for your kind comments, my friend._*
it did!hey try shooting something like a an old rc plane that can't fly anymore
Just beautiful, mechanical perfection. Just 2 minutes before the end of the vid, show casing the 5th scale Saber, i started thinking about the Panther, my favorite Korean era jet. I still get a little shiver when ever I see one.
By the way how big can you BUILD one before the powers that be, frown on you?
Again, terrific accomplishment.
.....and did anybody else see the contrail over the model at about 3:07 ?? What another neat tie in !!
I swore I saw the pilot giving us the finger! CHRIST that was SO real! Best landing EVER. That strip is barely long enough to land that thing on, and definitely, if not for those wheel brakes you would have gone for a ride in the grass. It's worth a second or third watch of that landing at least if not the whole video.
Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful. Impeccable detail.
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you for capturing this excellent aircraft. My father USN Commander John W Ramsey flew the F9 in two tours of the Korean War with VF-111 Sundowners. On his 2nd tour he was the squadron CO. He flew in many combat situations. This plane was tough. I have a picture of him standing next to his F9 in the hanger deck pointing to an entry and exit hole (6 to 9" O.D.) in the fuselage just before the tail section. The AA shell went thru his plane but never exploded when he and his division blew up a North Korean AA train. After his two tours in WWII with VF-11 and two crash landings in battle, it was a miracle i was ever born. Thanks again for the memories and a very supreme model you have constructed indeed.
This is amazing, it almost looks like the real thing. I like the moving canopy!
FANTASTIC!!!
Canopy, wheel brakes, full flaps, and even a steering front wheel.!!!
And those awesome low speed, full flaps passes...Beautifull!!!
Only the pilot's helmet it's not the correct Navy's model for the time.!!!
Kudos to you!!!
A.Rodrigues.
_Thank you for your kind comment. YES ... I know about the wrong helmet. It's from the Air Force, because there was no Navy pilot available._
Fancy plane! I'd be quite nervous to fly it, though I'm sure it's easier to fly then smaller versions :)
Very nice video sir! I enjoyed that :)
That gave me some weird flashback. I thought I saw the Blue Angels fly these as a child but checking they were flying F-9 swept wing Cougars. I remember that paint scheme. It was more likely they were flying F-11s but watching that video felt real. Great job!
The Blue Angel's did fly this plane. It was their first jet after the Hellcat and the Bearcat.
@@williambostic-s6s thanks for confirming. I had to be two or three at the time, the Panther I recall the first time I saw the Blue Angels. (Gotta love those times when they would do low passes over suburban neighborhoods and everyone was okay with it.)
Awesome and masterpiece modell! Impressive display flight and professional pilot! Congratulations!

Great job have to say buddy. I am liking the way you film. Honestly thought it was full size at the start and not RC. Such a distinctive style you have. Keep it up. Cheers Dom (Essential RC)
excellent craftmanship! Thank you for posting! :)

I also agree that the camera work is amazing. The opening scene of the plane taxiing towards the camera is especially entrancing. I had wonder if it was a the real thing for a moment. Kudos!
Awesome!.....now im remember when korean war .... Panther F9F & so many good pilot ( Movie " The Bridges at Toko - ri " ) .... They make Free & Peace......I never forget.....
You should invest in a couple tiny hd camera and mount them on the cockpit, wings, etc.
I think we would all love to see the 'birds eye view' clips spliced into these videos. : )
psygn0sis _I have 5 small cameras, but this video was made by chance and therefore I didn't had my complete equipment with me._
Have a look at this video, where you can see the small cameras in action.

Happy2019,psygn0sis agree to simply see how the cockpit & the control panel of the aircraft handles.
Happy2019,psygn0sis, roger that to simply see how the cockpit is & the control panel of the plane.
Two thumbs up for the audio and the video. Nicely done!
If the remote control handler wasn't in the camera, you'd swear it was full size. This thing is amazing. Next thing is to get a camera into the cockpit, or in the nose for on board flights.
Craig Pennington _Thank you for your kind comments, Craig._
Unfortunately it was not planned to meet Arthur at the airfield. Otherwise I would brought my 4 Mobius cameras with me.
We will repeat the video with some on board footages.

Fantastic! 👍🏻
Thank you! 👍
It's not RC. I saw the pilot waving :). Amazing!

just awesome!
was that a flying model? ;) Once again an exceptionally good video!
Klaus Vogel *_Thanks for your kind comments, Klaus._*
Superb video
One of my favorite jets of all time there is only one in the US still flyable shame.
A beautiful model that captures the real feel of the full sized aircraft. Flown expertly and shows off the performance of the model. My father built an F9F in 1951 powered by a Dyna Jet engine . Seeing yours fly fills in what I couldn't witness for myself, as I was only 2 years old at the time. Thanks for posting. Charles
Sweet jet.. The head on shoot in the beginning looks so full-scale..
PatBALEX _Thank you for your kind comments. I'm glad to know that you like the video._
Fabulous 😎
Excellent video. The painstaking detail is absolutely amazing. Squadron VF154, tail code H was on board the USS Princeton - CVA 37 from 01/24/53 - 09/21/53. The squadron flew the F9F-5 model. I have had the good fortune of speaking to a Korean War Naval aviator who did 2 tours of duty in Korea flying both the F4Us and the F9Fs. Thank you for posting.
_Thank you for the compliment and your interesting comment, which I really appreciate!_ 👍
As has been said - (another) stellar video Horst - wonderful plane and you captured it just right. Even the canopy closes automatically!
Perfect sky for an enjoyable flight... what a treat, and super low passes too.
ChrisB257 *_Thanks for the compliments, Chris._*
I rather would have some clouds instead of a blue sky. It better shows the speed of the model.
_Take care, my friend._
ChrisB257 best video I’ve seen for ages.superb flying and filming
Fantastic.!!!
It can be featured in movies, passing like the REAL thing.!!!
"The bridges at Toko-Ri".!!!!!
( W/ William Holden.)
I agree, Bill Holden was fantastic in that film, and aerial photography by Charles G Clark was amazing. I cannot tell this RC model from the real F9F's. Great flying and great job.
Try watching this video at 0.75 speed, looks more realistic than it already is.
this channel is going to hit now
Bonjour Horst,
Beautiful model, very realistic. Without forgetting your great cam work. Thumbs Up.
Cheers, Christian
ki65ki1 _Thank you for your kind words, my friend._
Hope you are doing well, Christian 😉
So realistic everything 100%, take off, flying and landing. 4:42 I thot flaps were down and was belly landing, excellent flying
Thank you for your kind comment which I really appreciate !!!
I'm stunned over how beautiful that was! Best scale "flying" I've ever seen and a perfect day for it! Wow!
_Thank you for your kind comment. Much appreciated !!!_
Nice! Wonderful! Very similar to the F-86 video! Complements to the videographer and to the modeler!
The only piece missing is an LSO. Beautiful Panther, from construction, paint, stenciling, to flight. Congrats to Mr. Kohler. You always manage to come up with the best vids Horst nice work.
bob dyer *_Hi Bob._* _Thank you for your kind comments. You're right ... an LSO would be great to see in this video._
Back in 2009 I did a video of another Panther F-9 of Arthur's hangar. There I've mixed a radio conversation between pilot and tower. Too sad that I didn't do it on this video as well.
_Cheers, Horst_
12 people thought it was real! Haha! But me, I hit the like button for the same reason.
*LOL* … thank you for your great comment !!!
Happy2019, Mr. Kohler To & Your Family!
_Thank you David. Same to you and your family !_ 👍😎
The Panther was the first plastic model I ever built; probably mid 50s. It was blue plastic and the canopy was that greenish plastic they used to use, Their lines still mesmerize me,
My Dad was a aviation electrician in fighter squadron VF-154 aboard CV-37 USS Princeton in 1953.
Very Impressive. Love the way it was handled !!! Great Piloting skills !!!

That is one hell of a great RC jet, best I've seen yet. Has the handling of the real thing.
Smooth touch down better than prop-planes.
Oh come on folks, this is not an RC, it is a real Panther ! no way... too much real...
All you need is a scale size William Holden to climb in....incredible attention to detail.

Yes, he sure will fit perfectly into the jet. 😉👍
Beautiful model and great scale flying. Nice video.

That's it - the first to fly on scale speed and this makes it look so real.
@@carlosholst5380
YES, I noticed that too.!!
A realistic, correctly scaled speed too, that makes it even more authentic.!!!
An incredible model and amazing camera work! You made it look 1:1 and most people would have a hard time telling this model from the full scale version. The heat waves were awesome! This might be your best video yet! Thumbs up! 👍 👍
Cheers, Bob 😎
TripleThreatRC _Thanks for the compliments, Bob._
I don't know why I was waiting so long to edit and upload this video.
Yes. The heat gives a special look of the scenery. It was mid October last year and late afternoon. Best time for doing videos of Rc planes.
_Cheers, my friend_ 👊😎
The only thing that would have made it perfect was a few white puffy scattered clouds, to bad we can't control weather hey.
Any thought of painting/building a scale Korean-era, Essex-class flight deck on the runway and adding some arresting cables with just the right drag? And a catapult?
What scale is it? How about some scale 5” HVAR rockets that really fire? Or is that not legal? How about launching some 1-1/2” or 2” rapport shells fireworks nearby to simulate AAA…but don’t hit it!
Real fighter pilots would be grounded for flying like that.
Nice video.
I was watching this video while I was waiting for KSP to load, and right as you started filming the takeoff, the intro music for the game came on, and it was beautiful! Thanks for a great video!
_good timing ... LOOOL_ 👍😉
No model's I want the actual GrummanF9f Panther!
😂 ... I'm not g00gle 😉
A perfect scale plane with scale flying attitudes and detail. You acknowledged the Air Force helmet not being right, but with your obvious skill I'm sure you could build one. It's the only detail that I can find fault with. Otherwise, THE BEST!
of all that eras jet fighters this has to be the best looking imho. Gorgeous video and A/C
I just found this channel and I can't believe how real you made them look. Question: I'm having some difficulty with the panel markings. I cant find the placement or text from source photos: 1. where did you find the text for the small white stenciling and 2.) is that a decal sheet or made by hand? I'm using this as reference to do a John Glenn and Ted Williams model
Somebody @ Grumman is checking their inventory for a missing Panther F9 at the moment! Also, during the taxi, I SWEAR I saw the pilot’s head rotate side to side. Is that just an illusion, or is it a thing?
Here's a Challenge to the RC Plane Community make one of these Planes do Mach 1 Bet the FAA would Love that. Probably would need a Twin Jet Engine Plane Hmmm F-14
I wonder how big is the fuel tank....
_two litres_
Yeah, that is not only the best and smoothest R/C jet I've ever seen, but the video work is also the best I've ever seen! I'm also am a videographer and dying to know what lens and camera you are using here... Your camera work really looks convincingly real. If this didn't have "R/C" in the title, how many people would have thought this was a real jet for a few seconds (or minutes)? If I had to take a guess what lens you are using, I would guess either a Tamron or Sigma 150mm to 600mm, and obviously you are on a sturdy tripod. You seem to have more reach than just a 200mm, but that would be my second guess, a 70mm to 200mm with a cropped sensor, making it equivalent to 280mm or whatever. Do tell! NICE WORK!
Darren Dix _Thank you for your kind comments and compliments._
The camera used for this video was the _Sony FDR AX33_ ... a normal camcorder 😉
I see, you had your camcorder right near or on the ground and near the jet to get that perspective... fooled me! I thought it was from farther away with a big zoom lens. Still, the quality of the video is pretty darn good for a normal camcorder. Goes to show, it ain't the camera, it's the cameraman!
Darren Dix _Thanks again for the compliments. Much appreciated !_
I forgot to mention that I never use a tripod. 😉
Cool but it's nice if at the beginning of the video you show a person next to it to give an idea of the scale. And a few shots with no zoom help as well. Cool video nonetheless.
_You might be right of showing a reference to its scale, but the model data is mentioned in the video description._
I like to present the models without any people. It looks more scale.
_Thank you for watching and commenting._ 👍😉
@@RCScaleAirplanes it was a magnificent model. And awesome flying. Thanks for the video I'll be sure would watch more!
@@DM-qp7do _THANKS ... You're welcome !_
What would have been real wicked would be to have the pilots head swivel and look the direction the aircraft is turning when taxiing. If I had seen that, you could have never convinced me that it wasn't full scale.
Wtf.. i thought that was real right up to when he landed.
_Thank you for your kind comment. Much appreciated !_ 👍😎

super brilliant, one of the best looking fighter jets ever.
Congratulations, Mr.Kohler awesome aircraft!
ruclips.net/video/RM79cof0KNY/видео.html

Q.In the Korean War the plane that is recognized is The Sabre Jet does the panther have any major kills by any chance that I ever been recorded.
The Grumman Panther was the primary US Navy and USMC jet fighter and ground-attack aircraft in the Korean War. The Panther was the most widely used U.S. Navy jet fighter of the Korean War, flying 78,000 sorties and scoring the first air-to-air kill by the U.S. Navy in the war, the downing of a North Korean Yakovlev Yak-9 fighter. F9F-2s, F9F-3s and F9F-5s, as rugged attack aircraft, were able to sustain operations, even in the face of intense anti-aircraft fire. The pilots also appreciated the air conditioned cockpit, which was a welcome change from the humid environment of piston-powered aircraft]
Despite their relative slow speed, Panthers also managed to shoot down two Yak-9s and seven Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15s for the loss of two F9Fs. On 3 July 1950, Lieutenant, junior grade Leonard H. Plog of U.S. Navy's VF-51 flying an F9F-3 scored the first U.S. Navy air victory of the war by shooting down a Yak-9.
The first MiG-15 was downed on 9 November 1950 by Lieutenant Commander William (Bill) Amen of VF-111 "Sundowners" flying an F9F-2B. Two more MiG-15s were downed on 18 November 1950.
On 18 November 1952, Lt. Royce Williams of VF-781, flying off USS Oriskany destroyed four MiGs in a single, 35-minute combat. This unique feat has remained little-known, due to the involvement of National Security Agency (NSA) - the existence of which was then top secret - in planning the mission.[10] Following intelligence provided by the NSA, the MiGs had been intercepted during a series of air strikes against the North Korean port of Hoeryong. After losing contact with his wingman, Williams found himself alone in a dogfight with six MiG-15s; when he was able to land on Oriskany, his Panther was found to have sustained 263 hits by cannon shells or fragments, and to be beyond repair. Williams' victories were even more notable in that all four MiGs were flown by Soviet Naval Aviation pilots: Russian sources confirmed Williams' claims, 40 years later, stating that the pilots lost were Captains Belyakov and Vandalov, and Lieutenants Pakhomkin and Tarshinov.
Future astronaut Neil Armstrong flew the F9F extensively during the war, even ejecting from one of the aircraft when it was brought down by a wire strung across a valley, in 1951. Future astronaut John Glenn and Boston Red Sox all-star baseball player Ted Williams also flew the F9F as Marine Corps pilots.
Panthers were withdrawn from front-line service in 1956, but remained in training roles and with U.S. Naval Air Reserve and U.S. Marine Air Reserve units until 1958. The Navy's Blue Angels flight demonstration team used the Panther for four years, beginning in 1951. The Panther was the Blue Angels' first jet.[11] Some Panthers continued to serve in small numbers into the 1960s.[12] From September 1962 surviving operational Panthers were redesignated F-9 within the new combined US tri-service designation system
@@jeffrobdine Q.Do have sorties kills than the Air Force Sabre.
@@davidhernandez9985 By the end of hostilities, F-86 pilots were credited with shooting down 792 MiGs for a loss of only 78 Sabres, a victory ratio of 10:1. More recent research by Dorr, Lake and Thompson has claimed the actual ratio is closer to 2:1.] The Soviets claimed to have downed over 600 Sabres, together with the Chinese claims, although these are thought by some to be an overcount as they cannot be reconciled with the 78 Sabres recorded as lost by the US. A recent RAND report made reference to "recent scholarship" of F-86 v MiG-15 combat over Korea and concluded that the actual kill:loss ratio for the F-86 was 1.8:1 overall, and likely closer to 1.3:1 against MiGs flown by Soviet pilots. Based on Soviet archival data, 335 Soviet MiG-15s are known to have been admitted as lost by the Soviets over Korea. Chinese claims of their losses amount to 224 MiG-15s over Korea. North Korean losses are not known, but according to North Korean defectors their air force lost around 100 MiG-15s during the war. Thus a total of 659 MiG-15s are admitted as being lost, all but a handful to F-86 Sabres, while USAF claims of their losses amount to 78 F-86 Sabres. Of the 41 American pilots who earned the designation of ace during the Korean war, all but one flew the F-86 Sabre, the exception being a Navy Vought F4U Corsair night fighter pilot.
So the Sabre had a better killer ratio than.
