In base tri, the Hunting horn isn't in the game, so I like to the think the hunting horns became Qurupeco.

18:54 every bullet works differently underwater, normals are very good underwater, they kind of just get "stuck" in the monster and break off.

AHHH so they wont deliberately attack each other, but the attacks still hurt
Yeah, up to gen 4 monsters not attack each other on purpose, but the attacks of Qurupeco that landed on Jaggi do damage
In the old 3rd gen Sandy Plains map there is a secret short cut from camp to area 7.
Jump down the well.
I guess the the short cut was replaced that one Great Wirebug in Rise
So about Tri in general, SnS is actually insane. It doesn't appear like much on the surface as it has mid physical damage, until we get to Elemental damage, where it does about the same amount of attacks as DB (without demonize), albeit 1-2 less hits, except it does about 150% more elemental damage compared to a similar ranked DB, especially if you load your weapons/armor with Element ATK decorations to +10 (for 20% more elemental damage). Those Jewels are also super easy to get, as they come from monsties like Royal Ludroth and Rathian. All of which are low-rank materials that are pretty easy to find. And conveniently, most of those monsties come after the last one to farm for the decorations iirc. Plus, you can use items while the weapon is out, and you can block most attacks the monster has. Def a comfort weapon class for me and has stayed that way all the way from MH: Freedom Unite into MH: Rise.
For Bowguns in general, get the Gobul Shooter for low-rank. Rapid fires Normal S. LV 2, and basically turns the bowgun into an SMG. Especially with the rapidfire decoration. Rapidfire on Normal S LV 2 has been a speedrunner fave for quite a while. R.I.P. the goat of LBG from MH: Freedom Unite, Sandfall. The only bowgun that could say it makes it all the way from low-rank to G Rank.

This really reminds me when I played Portable 3rd and while it didn’t have any underwater combat, it was what showed me the beauty of the third generation with Qurupeco and Great Jaggi, and how much I dearly miss the both of them.
I made sure I played 3U because of the underwater aspect

Getting evasion+1 is pretty GOATed, I think getting the Quro or Volvidon armor is very worth.
Volvidon armor especially because of tremor resist and attack up, although I don’t know if that’s consistent across blademaster and gunner.
Definitely worth checking out!
If you stick with this game you gonna have a blast. it take a little time to get to the fun part, but so worth it and some of the best soundtrack and boss that you wont experience in other monster hunter
So far its all been a fun part!

Idk if you can have the Auto Reload skill here cuz in P3rd is really hard to get it, i don't even use it because of how hard is to get good armor with the skill and slots for decoration but if you can have get it you'll be able to shoot indefinitely without reloading at all
Also, if you press the Run button and ∆+O you can reload right when you pull out the gun instead of pulling it out and press ∆ to reload
Also the Heavy Bowgun might be hard to use but it can have a shield so, if you're not shooting you can always protect yourself
And it has a special shooting stance that i love so much
I'll definitely have to look into that soon!

I remember the first time i fought Qurupeco in Portable 3rd
It was a few minutes before new year
I spent almost all 50 minutes of the quests because i didn't know Qurupeco calls other monsters and i was there killing a Bulldrome and Arzuros instead of focus in Qurupeco
And Barroth was a pain, it killed me a few times till i finally got my revenge
Seeing my name in the chat when you're doing the qurupeco quest Makes me feel ✨special ✨

i'll give that person benefit of the doubt and assume they meant early game because "if you're good you don't need armor skills" is the dumbest thing i've heard in relation to Monster Hunter. especially since some skills are meant to make some fights less messed up with wind/roar/quake resistance for example.

pro tip time: if you're mudded or snowed, dont run, just shake it off!
if youre stunned, palm circle your joystick.
most camp areas have a normal route and a shortcut route.
you can draw and instant load your weapon.
if you want to play online without pellet shot stunning team mates, shoot them with armor shots first.
to capture monster, use flashbomb and then place the trap in their pathfinding escape route and wait.(traps will trigger them to escape in general)
every monster hunter game to date has glitches that make you go out of bounds.(fun to do in endgme)
Pierce ammo is only goat for large monsters.
deviation makes pellet shots better.
normal shots are mid.
wyvernfire is FU*KING FUN AS HELLLLLLLLL!

@@XZeroik ohhh!!! You tricked me there with that sudden upload here owo it was a great episode and i like the Pellet shots because their range isnt much but good. Each single pellet does small damage so you gotta hit lots of them
