      Isaiah was always a brainy guy. Don't like his church tone usually, but in this particular one he got relaxed and obviously forgot all about it. It was probably most 80's Isaiah in talk you'll bump into nowadays.

      I like Zeke and Jordan. Again Zeke is arguable the 2nd greatest pg of all time even Jordan agrees. Zeke basketball iq is off the charts; is up their with Larry, Magic, Mj and LBJ. People really shouldn’t be trying to add fire to the Zeke and Mj beef. Listen whatever beef they got going on is their beef. At the end of the day all you can try to do is understand it and learn from it. Peace

      I think that is why Ben is hurt and disrupted because it is truth in the critique, but the hate...death threats from a fanbase and a team/media seeming to egg them on...that is tough to want to continue playing through and for...but Bill Russell played for those demons in Boston even after they broke into his home and violated his bed...Got to rise above the hate. Hoping he can. To talented to give up, but if he is too sensitive to the hate where it makes him hate himself I wouldn't blame him from walking away from all together

      @@kudabeen No it's cause his TEAMMATES and COACH threw him under the bus, yeah the fans' behavior added to the fuel but it's the teammates and coach that affected him. Like Isiah explained he did his job throughout the season, when he had a bad run they turned on him with the quickness and I bet they didn't say that sh** in the lockerroom; that's snake behavior. Embiid is a big snake...this season (due to his injury most likely over humility) Embiid is a better less selfish teammate. I can recall him screaming on younger teammates on the court for their mistakes and only paying lipservice to his own...Ben had that crazy close to the first season as the focal point ans won the Sixers 1st playoff game as the best player in that Process Sixer growth and Embiid started his campaign to compete as the guy...he would go to the media and talk about Ben not shooting and it being tough on him...meanwhile with Ben not being there he still floats on the perimeter

    Really appreciate Zeke’s perspective, he didn’t take the typical throw Ben under the bus, there were multiple parties at fault in this situation, I feel like the organization could have handled this better. Not to excuse Bens behaviour, but the organization should have shielded him, not expose him

      They "shielded" him for 4 years. Embiid has a right to be mad when the second best player on the team refuses to address the one glaring flaw in his game for 4 years. And Doc defended his refusal to shoot and poor foul shooting to the point of losing credibility all season long. You can't honestly expect people to baby this man forever, while he releases video of himself working on his shot every off-season, but refuses to shoot in actual games.

      ​@@Deadhammer218 MLK's words come from the notion that some day we'll live in a more ideal society where people get a fair shake from the start regardless of their race. In the reality we still live in however, white businesses generally get more financial backing than non-white ones. Isiah wants to help black businesses to level the playing field a bit. I don't begrudge him that.

      I don't agree with his take. Ben has been critizised for YEARS for not working on his game and sixers had his back. And I don't think you can be a great point guard in modern NBA if you can't make jump shots.

    I'm so glad Zeke gave Lavar his flowers. I still have by BBB sweatshirt from 2017. If I had the money, I would've got the shoes too. Lavar is a legend in the game. Nothing but respect for that man.

    I love the reference Shaq made about Lonzo in comparison to Ben. That was the perfect analogy. Ben Simmons should be ashamed of himself at this point. He isn't incapable of improving he's simply unwilling to try from what we've seen so far.

      Maybe he is ashamed of himself.. maybe it really is all mental. Regardless of if it’s good or not he can shoot. His problem is he’s scared. the same reason he was scared to dunk / lay up in the play offs.
      Fair enough if he’s lazy but he can clearly can shoot just not mentally.. hes the opposite to giannis. not everyone is built for the bright lights.
      And the 76ers knew very well he couldn’t shoot when they gave him his huge contract.

      If Ben got it together mentally be whole different story.. just like Isiah said start with FT’s. even if you go 2-10 make them foul you or you go through them with Authority and dunk!
      At the minute he’s stuck between being to sacred and not being all in.

    Zeke is right, they dogged him when he was down. Especially Embiid, and after he himself had been unfit and injured the previous few years costing the team any chance. Zeke also right Simmons need to put in real work. Good analysis.

    I think it hurt when Jimmy Butler went to the finals a year after Ben Simmons complained. Giannis won by mental toughness. Lonzo Ball worked on his shot. I think people don't respect a dude who has been coddled his entire career not working on his game. Doc Rivers sat on the sword the whole season and throughout the playoffs. He put the ball in his hands. How did Ben reward him?
    He played scared in big moments when you had players like Trae Young playing twice Ben Simmons size. 76ers as management and leadership grouped failed Ben Simmons by coddling him his whole career and rewarding him with a huge contract. Ben Simmons has never been accountable to playing up to what we see other All Stars level. He plays just below All star level but expects All Star treatment.

      All of these points you made, but didn't look at the numbers or actually games played.
      Butler went to a squad people said were a dark horse to win it.
      Giannas was the first option on his team and he was allowed to do whatever he wants.( simmons came in rookie of the year, 76ers winning with him, all star next.).
      Lonzo isn't even nominated an all nba defensive team or an all star. Your comparing a role player who hasn't had a winning season to someone who's been winning since a rookie collecting accolades... Bruh
      Trae young shot 38% for the whole series. How the heck is trae playing double his size while getting clamped by someone bigger. The 76ers were up by 25 gm7 before Ben simmons subbed out.
      Doc rivers big moments ? He's known for blowing big moments. With that sentence cp3 and pg13 are bums.
      Last, what do you want from Ben simmons he's the third highest paid player on his team , isn't the first option but fans keep wanting him to play like one.

      First year rookie of the year next year fourth option with Jimmy butler Joel embid and Tobias Harris. That's like as if Kobe showing promise then next year he has scottie pippen, shaq, and Eddie Jones on his team as first options Oh wait... that actually did happen except for the pippen part.
      Don't make up fake scenarios. He had 12 assist gm7. He's not afraid of the ball. College he got hurt dude, and still the first pick for a reason. You can't teach 6'11 with speed and court vision hoping he becomes a decent jason kidd shooter one day.

    I love hearing Isiah Thomas talk basketball. He always brings a very insightful perspective on topics. One of my favorite players and people for sure. And he makes a great point with the Ben Simmons situation. But I believe Ben should also be real with himself and try to improve on his game.

    👏👏👏 The quality of this show was perfect. It wasn't a gossip show or a finger pointing show or a "wordy" narrative show full of giggling. It was a show about resolution via support. This is a good cast. #Isaiah_Thomas has always looked for the glass half full, and he has always worked on/with young Players & Prospects from there. 🏀

    Dang he wasnt lying about Magic. I just checked his stats and he was a 70-80% FT shooter, then it gradually kept going up to the point that he was a 90% FT shooter.

    Yep, Magic spent the whole summer improving his free throws. Ben's had 4 of these summers so far Isiah and what's he done to improve his free throws? Nothing. Magic Johnson said he would play for nothing. He just loved the game, he was motivated, he was a hard worker, he was a leader in his rookie year! You couldn't find two more un-alike people.

    Speaking to Zeke's point of the 76ers teammates not insulating Ben to try to help him, they see him every day and know the work he does or DOESN'T put in. People that respected your work ethic would break their backs to help you. They loved Jimmy.

      @@Alberthoward3right9up nope. All of the crazy stories this offseason have come from Ben and Klutch. They made the trade request public and leaked all kinds of reasons about why he wants out. All the Sixers have done is fine him for not showing up to work and for not cooperating. If something is preventing a player from playing, they have to give the team basic information from a doctor stating so. And Ben still has not. They've met with him and tried to re-recruit, his teammates even wanted to fly out and he told them to stay home.

    The leader of the champion Detroit Pistons, "Bad Boy" is an astute observer of basketball talent with suburb incite on management and team operations! It was an absolute please to hear him expounding about Ben Simmons and the Sixers bad handling of the Simmons situation! He was spotted on in his assessment of Ben Simmons being a vital part of some other teams success if he works on his foul shots! I totally enjoyed the Magic Johnson comparison that resulted in an MVP upon improving his game!

    Isiah Thomas opinion is absolutely spot on! Simmons team dogged him big time. 75% of them were using Simmons to cover their own backside. Issue with a trade is that Morey wants $5 for $1.
