As a married man of 27 years. Many men aren't intimidated by your career. When I was younger, I dated both pre-med and pre law. Both parties didn't see the connection. Just like women aren't usually intimidated by a gorgeous man. Congrats on your marriage and wish you and your family continued happiness.
This means so much to me! I’m 27, studying for the bar and to be a lawyer and I really thought dating wouldn’t be me because men are intimidated by my profession. I also graduated from a top law school ☺️ I have hopeeer
Been married to my guy since 1992 and I have known him since I was in high school. He wrote a piece of software that we used and I saw his name on the Copyright symbol each time we logged off. Each time I saw it, I kept saying “I have got to meet this guy he is a computer geniuses.” This was before IBM PCs and Macintoshes came out about 2 years later. I knew computers would change the world and I wanted to know someone whose brain understood computers to that degree. So, a few years later I managed to meet him and now we are grandparents!!
@@ZeeFritoBanditoyes because we adopted our son, when he was 11 years old, from Guatemala. He is now 32 years old and he has been married for nearly four years. They have a 2 1/2 year old girl and a new baby “under construction.” Age wise, I am only 20 years older than our son. We were also local foster parents who accepted children who were at least ten years old or older. In my state, foster care can continue into college, if the child goes to college. Of our many placements, we had three long term foster placements. The first placement was for two brothers, the older of whom was close to our son’s age. After being with us for a few years they were reunited with their bio family and we still keep in touch with the oldest child. Our second long term placement was nearly four years long and that child was just two months olde than our son. We still have a relationship with him as well.
So cool!! I met my husband online, too! We just celebrated 20 years together. We both had children from our first marriages. (He was a widower, I was a divorcee). We talked online and the phone for a couple weeks, and started dating in person. I loved how we never had awkward pauses. We were so comfortable together. Now we have 6 kids between us. And 8 1/2 grandkids! ❤ Life is good! Happy New Year!
I love your story and I'm an eHarmony success story too with my husband being in my first set of matches as well, we have been married 14 years and have 4 kids, that eHarmony system really does match based on compatibility apparently, thanks for sharing and i love your content!
My husband has NF2 brain tumors and a horrible event happened dec 12 2024 and had a seizure and went into cardiac arrest his heart stopped and I gave him cpr until arrival fast forward he was transferred to Duke hospital and recently had two brain surgeries 2 weeks apart. We are home and he is healing and getting ready for chemo and radiation. I have been watching your videos and truly thankful for amazing people who do what you do truly a blessing ❤ when I heard you said you did residency at Duke hospital in Durham it hit hard for me bc my husband is alive. Thank you for all you do definitely do not get enough credit and love ❤
Oh, Brittany! I am so sorry! I said a prayer for you and your husband. Praise God that he had excellent medical treatment and experience! I hope things are going better for you guys💕🙏🏻
You were right down the road from me, lol 😂! My wife was nurse manager at that time at a rival hospital just down the road, you know where I’m talking about. I had my spinal fusion in Raleigh in 2008 and I don’t remember my surgeons name but he did a phenomenal job and it worked well till a few years ago after i suffered 3 compression fractures and now am back in agony. This is a great area tho between those couple hospitals for residents and i think I’ve seen hundreds over the years. Been here since 2006 now
What a great story! 💕😍😍 you two seem so perfect for each other! My husband and I met in college in September 2009 but went on our 1st official date December 20, 2009. The rest is history! 😆💕
I'm glad you guys matched up so well, back then when the generation of people were actually looking for relationships or to meet people. Now this newer generation, people use dating sites just to hook up for s€x and nothing serious. I feel bad for the people who are genuinely looking for a long term relationship and their selection of the dating pool are looking for only hook ups, and will even lie, just to hook up with others.
Oh for sure! I'm 42 and my daughter is 24. I thank God constantly for my husband! Her and her friends always talk about how trash the "dating" scene is!
How is any year in the 2000's that long ago? 😂😅 I'm getting flipping old 😅 2009 was 14 years ago omg .... Also, sweet story! I seem to get weird reactions grom guys as an EMT... It gets annoying
This comment is like when Dad skips pages of your picture book thinking you won’t notice, but you definitely noticed. “No, go back. Go back! You skipped the best part!”
1:22 The funniest line in this video IMHO is "I was on my neurology rotation so I had a lot of time on my hands." Nice burn.
I met my husband through a friend, I was 18, he was 20. We met January 1997, married August 2001. He’s still the one. ❤

You have always been a hot car chick huh? BMW,Porsche, Raptor!
I met my husband online dating site as well. 2004. We were together ever since the first date. Married 2 yrs later.
What did he do ?
What is your husband’s profession?
She refused to answer that question.
How was she in 3rd of NEUROSURGERY residency at 28 years old?? Damn, did she get through step 1 & step 2 by the time she was 25??
When she said she had alot of tins on her hands was she being sarcastic or does a neurosurgeon really have time on their hands like that! ?
Ahhh!!! First date on my 20th birthday :)
Awwww
❤❤❤❤
What’s your husband’s occupation?
Lol that's all that was available 🤣
so guys wanna know what we drive -- oh nooooo
Yikes BMWs make me dislike people. No one drives worse
