Super creepy! I thought of a twist to try when I make mine. I'd love to see shadows of the baby spiders that haven't hatched yet. I'm imagining punching holes in the bottle to hold one of the string light bulb in each bubble (more or less). Then put a plastic spider or two inside the bubbles as you glue them on. If your base paint coat isn't too thick, perhaps you could get creepy silhouettes to appear through the egg sac. If the white spray paint is too opaque, an option might be to use many layers of a matte finish spray. When you use lots of layers of that, you end up with a milky off-white that's still translucent.
Before you glue the bubbles to the jug, cut out a hole smaller than the bubble where you will be gluing. This will allow more light from the inserted light string.
If you don't have electricity in your yard for the lights, you could add some glow in the dark paint to the wash. If the bubbles are slightly transparent (a white wash instead of a white coat), you could put spiders in the bubbles too. It would be a great detail if you need it for a short film. Baby oil would make it glisten as if it were slime covered.
Thank you thank you thank you, after a massive fail and waste of at least $200 to try make some egg sacks 2 years ago, this is something simple and easy that will look amazing and won’t cost me an arm and a leg.
Can't wait to replicate these. May take it further by also stuffing second hand store halloween costumes (aka trick-or-treaters) and hanging them cocooned in the trees. Thank you for the inspiration!
Your grocery list could also make them! ✅ Milk carton ✅ Egg carton ✅ Spider webs String lights wouldn't be very effective but instead of empty bottles or ornaments you could use the rounded parts of the egg carton. An added bonus... They are already shaped like eggs! Lol
I love this. Watching you Layer on all the gross-ness gave me an idea. How about randomly dabbing on some glow in the dark paint, or possibly splatters of glow in the dark paint. That might just add another level of nastiness. Thanks for the inspiration. Off to find some "bubbles"!
So spooky! I was forbidden from making any spider props, but this is amazing! If you made that base coat translucent, you could put some of the spider babies in the bubbles.
You guys are awesome, it’s great that you guys are getting a early start to the 2022 haunt season! Every single video you guys post blows me away and I think to myself “I HAVE to find a way to incorporate this into my haunt” (and I do make most of them) Thank you both so so much for the hard work that you both put into these videos! What you guys make is also so impressive, smart and creative so seriously, thank you for all of these videos!!
@@happysheepslimes9090 so true lol! Me and my friend are ALWAYS working on a new project or coming up with new ideas for his home haunt, it truly is the best holiday ever!
I don't know what I watch these videos for, the crafting or the humorous bantering? Both are great and the production values of each video puts my ones to shame.
I adore this to create a really creepy corner of my haunted garden. I think cutting off the handle and maybe taking time to pre stab some holes under the bubbles to shove lights through will just elevate this so much. Excellent video! Thank you for extending my project list, haha!
I made a very similar giant spider about 6 years ago, and I've been wanting to make egg sacs for years! I'm using a 5 gallon jug bc I want the sac to be huge. I spray painted the jug first so I could do the lightest coating over the balls bc I glued spiders into the insides of them so you can see them when the lights shining through. My setup also includes giant steel drums that I added industrial toxic labels to as well as gap and crack filler painted shades of neon green to look like toxic waste barrels. Then I used pieces of cardboard with the same gap and crack + paint combo to look like puddles. I wanted a *reason* for the giant mutant spider lol The barrels actually almost got me evicted once 😂 😂 I store my barrels in the side yard, and we were getting work done on the house bc of a leak. The barrels were really showing their age at the time and with the weathering looked rather... Convincing. The workers took pictures that had the barrels in the background and we got a very, very angry letter with the eviction notice from our property management company. I had to send pictures of them being used in our Halloween display to get them to calm down 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
What I really need is her t-shirt. That sucker is so cool. Also, I would recommend painting the baby spiders light brown since young spiders do tend to be a lighter color on hatching.
You could make a video on what to do if trick or treaters throw toilet paper up on your tree you can tie it and make a spider web with it or make it look all broken up to make it look creepy this is just a suggestion
I watched this video like a week ago and just yesterday I tried it out and it’s just awesome how simple and fun it is to make. My first one didn’t quite turn out the same but I’m definitely making like 2-3 more and they’ll be improvements. Thank you WM!!!! You guys rock.
Cheapest and best fog machine you guys can recommend... I want a low lying type of one as it's usually windy with us on Halloween (South Wales 🏴) and... Yeh 😂
This is fantastic, for sure this is on the 2022 build list..I'm going to put little spiders inside the clear plastic spheres so it looks like some are ready to hatch, as well putting them on the outside. I'm going to try a throbbing light inside.
Very cool! I've been using the Martha Stewart spider egg trick of a white styrofoam ball in white nylon leggings for years, but this a great upgrade to those.
I wonder if you could use a similar method to make a bulbous mass of infected flesh. I've made spider eggsacs before with a very different slap-dash craft but I love this idea so much, I really wanna give it a try.
OK, the only way they could be even more repulsive is if the green light inside was slowly pulsating (single powerful green light instead of the string ones perhaps?)
I love this!! It's so simple but looks great. I am planning a graveyard theme this year (I usually do witches), and this will look so cool in it. Thank you!!
I love the projects you guys do...they are always next level!! I think it would be cool to also put the spider babies on before u put the webbing material on, since spiders hatch inside the sack, that will be more realistic. Unless ur purposefully putting them on the outside of the web so no one thinks they're real and get scared to death lol.
i love spiders, theyre one of my favourite animals but i would probably cry if i saw this.. definitely going to make this once i dig out the old spiderwebs !
Wow the green is so luminescent, did you use glow in the dark paint or is there a UV light providing that glowing effect? Not counting the internal lights of course as they aren't UV
As someone who has raised ( and released) Lots of baby spiders I will agree to disagree on the "grossness" of this project. 🤣 I'm definitely doing this for my haunted mansion!! Thanks for sharing, guys! 😁
These are way cool… I would be tempted to swap the string lights for some Neopixels and a small microcontroller to make it pulsate in a sickly green colour
One of the rooms in my haunted house is a forest and I was struggling what else to put in the room besides what I have planned so now this will be great to do!!!!!!
All the spiiiiders for you.🕸🕷😃 By the way, if you want to build our giant spider we have dimensions for everything on Patreon!
this is realy easy

That’s a really cool idea
I thought either painted spiders inside ‘cups’ or glued plastic ones would achieve that effect.
Before you glue the bubbles to the jug, cut out a hole smaller than the bubble where you will be gluing. This will allow more light from the inserted light string.
I thought that’s what they did jusdging by the thumbnail

Oh yes!!! Great idea
Simple, cheap, looks very good, and the most important thing: IT LOOKS SUPER FUNN TO DO!!
I really like it!!
You should make the light inside pulse. Maybe there's something more sinister than baby spiders inside! Great video as always.
Such a good idea
Y’all need your own show, this is awesome. Loved your Scream 6 transformation- that mask looked so accurate
Thank you!!
This is so awesome and looks easy to do (easy to do is my level of expertise 🤣). Thanks for sharing these ideas with us!
Thanks for watching! You can 100% do this
Honestly, the jugs with the bubble things glued on, painted like this, but with a "fetus" or something inside could be a really cool "alien egg," too!
Pretty cool, gonna try this. Might be a good idea to glue a few spiders to the hemispheres before wrapping in webbing 🤷🏻♂️
OH YES!!!!! I AM DEFINITELY MAKING THIS!!!! Another great idea! Looked like Jay was sweating a bit with all those spiders!! Haha 😆🤣
Hahaha yes he was

I made this
on top of the fake spider web I used locktight 300 heavy and did circle motions while spraying and it makes it look like real spider web
Awesome!

That turned out well for a quick craft
Thanks!
So simple & affective! You could glue a couple spiders inside the the ornament halves too. Happy Halloween 🎃 👻

Extra points if you make the lights pulse like a heartbeat.

@@WickedMakers Yes, they’re just not as big as in the US. I’m going to Costco next week so hoping to find something larger there 🤞🏻

Oh yeah nice! Good idea
Looks great and creepy 😨🕸🕷
great project! gonna try this one!
Thanks! You def should
I probably won't make this cuz I also hate spiders but this is definitely the best Halloween prop channel.
Hahah thanks 😄
Yes! I have made something similar with 2 liter bottles, but the shape of a milk jug seems like a better shape.
Nice!! Yeah it worked well

maybe some various sized spiders, also? and, if hanging the eggs, you could make some hotglue strands with spiders coming down them as well. EEEEWWW!
