I've said before that I love watching you guys because it's a nice way to learn how to make props for movies, this is the most interesting "thing" you've made to me
You've really excelled with this prop - quite possibly your best ever. It looks so realistic - the skin, wrinkles and that paint job is incredibly good. Very well done. It's brilliant!
Just love the kitty casually inserting itself on frame and claiming the full scene. Ps... I'm raising MY hand, I'd love one weird latex hand being sent to me, thank you XD
Jamie's look of chagrin when she was caught in the accidental pun ("Open this _thing_ up,") shows that she's a fundamentally good person. also, OMG WICKED BEHBEH!!!!!!
@Christa Simon I had a whole raft of other bits, starting each one with some variation of "Also" and exploring the possible names of the increasingly unlikely ALSO franchise of comments. (My favorite was Also 4: Also takes Manhattan. Even I am not sure if I'm referencing the Muppets or Friday the 13th.)
Love this make over! Mold making can be the most tedious but reward thing you do in being an artist. I totally feel the anxiety when you have done all of that work just to dump some plaster on it and then destroy it, hoping the final project turns out well. I would love a Thing glove/blank! You guys did such a fantastic job and the sculpt you did is heads and tails above what Spirit did
This turned out amazing!!!! The paint skills are brilliant!!! The Hello Fresh ad was great too, got laughs from me and the kids!!! I'm so glad yalls channel is growing, we're very happy for y'all!!!
Omg this is amazing, I’m a cosplayer and this would just take Wednesday cosplay to a whole new level.!! The paint detail is great ❤ would you maybe make a video or a video short in the future how you make the silicone paint? ❤ love ur guys videos, makes my day to be able to watch this even outside of Halloween
Very cool, I also thought about if it might be possible to make this little hand with animatronics, good to know that the electronics already exist ^^ and very interesting seeing you making these mold’s, I personally never used that technique
I love how much time and effort that you put into each model or prop that you make. And doing your own research/getting help? Those are the signs of a true "maker" of things. Awesome job! I also don't really know how to ask the "right" way, so I'll just ask down here. It would be so cool to have something that was made by you guys, who have been an inspiration for multiple cool projects of my own, and who have taught me so much.
I really enjoy watching you transform animatronics, and it was so cool to see you learn how to make a mold! I study mold making in college, and it’s very neat to see you trying something new! Hands are very difficult and all things considered, it came out great! I love your attention to detail and all the work you put into this! I’d love to see one of the latex gloves up close to see all your texture in person
Gods, this was amazing. The pure detail and commitment made me almost jealous, like seeing your kid hug another family member more than you! Just the mould work itself, don't even get me started on the paint job and the sutures. Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous.
Bravo to you two! And I love how you got to expand on your knowledge of making new stuff such as the latex glove. You guys pulled it off wonderfully. Yay for continued learning!
It really adds to your videos when you guys are learning and experimenting. I feel like we get more detail of the thought process of reimagining a prop which sparks my own creative thinking!
I love this. I had no idea how molding like that worked. Thanks for learning and sharing. And I'd love a chance at the extra glove for my workshop to inspire my creativity.
Dang I would have never thought about turning one of those things into thing! Ha, ha, such a wonderful idea. Hope I get chosen for the thing glove giveaway, cause it'd be fun to try this out too!
While watching Wednesday I also was thinking about how the Spirit Halloween Monster Hand would look perfect for Thing. You guys did an amazing job with the paint, sculpt and the mold making process! and now I have a tutorial to do it myself 😂😂😂. However I doubt I could make the actual mold my self. I would love one of the extra gloves to make Thing! Anyway stay wicked guys and once again awesome job 🤟
What an amazing item!!! I don't think Victor Dorobantu would be able to tell the difference between him and your THING!! Awesome work you 2!! God bless
I totally would have broken under that pressure with the mistakes, you two really made it work and make such a great team! You guys are not only relationship goals but fantastic artists 👏 this process was enchanting to watch and I just love how it turned out!
I cannot not get enough of your videos. Your love for what you do really shines through. I’m always blown away. As a super fan I would be honored to have one of those Thing hands!!!! Would be a great addition to my Wednesday collection. Thanks for all the hard work you do!!!!

Just amazing work J & J! I’m always impressed with your practical solutions to difficult problems… but I get blown away by the artistry you always incorporate into every project. I think “wicked” perfectly describes your humour and joy in the creative process. Another triumph 👏🏻xxx
To make the nails look a little more realistic, you could paint on a layer of UV resin on the nails. Maybe scuff them to look more like nails and add a clear coat nail polish
This was such a cool process. Im a haunted in the Dallas area and love these vides. Im usually better on the electronics and set detailing, but learning this process for sculpting/casing was cool! Would love a hand!
Fun fact! Thing is in a stage of decomposition called livor mortis, which is encapsulated in the final part of the fresh stage just after rigor mortis lets up. In this part of the decaying process, the blood begins to pool to the lowest point on the body! Since Thing walks on the tips of his fingers and tends to rest on his knuckles, that's what's up with the red discoloration in those places.
Considering i JUST stumbled on this video and your channel, I was not expecting to see The man, the myth, the legend, Marcus! I watched RT content for years, and absolutely love his work, what a fun surprise this was.
