  • The right honourable gentleman from the 19th century, Jacob Rees-Mogg, was called out over his hypocrisy when voting for something he had previously warned would not stop the boats. His position was destroyed by journalist Victoria Derbyshire.

Rwanda is not a safe country and will not accept anyone if the European court of Human Rights (what the Tories keeps calling “Foreign Courts”) who won’t deem it safe based on the fact in the last 20 years they have killed asylum seekers for rising up because of a lack of food and water.

It is 'consistent' with the exceptionalist Tory mindset. Like the loyalist who feels entitled to cherry-pick which laws enacted by the UK parliament that they will accept while rejecting any rules that are not to their liking. These "loyalists" see no inconsistency in feeling fully entitled to refuse to accept the sovereign decision of the British parliament, while at the same time feeling they are fully entitled to force British rule on Irish nationalists who never pledged loyalty to Britain, whether they like it or not

Brilliant reporting! Just keep asking the same, obviously unpalatable for the pollie, question. It works every time as (virtually) none of them have the guts/stamina/I don't know what to do a Prince Phillip on the reporter.
I can't remember what exactly the interview was about though fading memory tells me it was his late HRH's birthday. The reporter asked a question which he said he wasn't going to, or couldn't, answer. She then tried to ask it in a different way and He just silently looked at her with a neutral expression. She cracked after after a matter of seconds! I'm still surprised that they left it in!

Moggie helped himself to lose votes in the next election, the other day, by saying, 'It's cheaper to buy apples from abroad!' That would be good for the farmers with orchards in Somerset, wouldn't it? All he thinks about is building his investment portfolio. He has never had a proper job, and doesn't appreciate how the impoverished suffer and struggle to live day by day. Vote for any party but TORY.
