VINTAGE Racing Pre 1953 PINETREE JAMBOREE 2023 Flathead only racing traditional HOTRODS Ford V8 1932

Hurricane Lee may have disrupted the 2023 Pinetree Jamboree but day 3 of the event in Winterport Maine turned out to be a beautiful day full of traditional hotrods and drag racing. The turnout was pretty strong on what is usually a "pack up" day. Racing was extended well into the afternoon to make up for Saturday's washout. There was a wide range of cars and flathead power plants. There was a strong showing of banger powered cars and of course a large turnout of flathead V8s. There were also a few odd-balls thrown in such as a straight six powered A coupe and a Lincoln V12 powered tudor.

Saw my 55 at 3:21! I came up for the first time to help some friends and had a blast. Kind of reminded me of drag racing at the local air strip with my pops back in the day. Already have plans to throw something together
for next year!
