- Welcome to the second episode of my satirical series called "What You Think You Smell Like".
My primary goal of this series is very clear: to bring to the light the (in my opinion) silly pursuits and philosophies that seem to dominate the fragrance space on RUclips. Not throwing shade at anyone's hustle...just believing that we can do better.
This episode follows the two roommates through frustration and heated conflict in order to highlight yet another ridiculous idea that can plague the fragrance experience for many: the fact that if a fragrance doesn't last a long time (desired duration is relative), then therefore it is not a fragrance worth considering.
In fact, some might be drawn to a fragrance simply BECAUSE of the fact that it supposedly performs well--not necessarily because they enjoy the scent! Crazy, right?

Thanks Justin. I agree with your statement, but you cannot ignore that there are really Scent that really smells great and are expensive but I feel robbed and dissapointed. One example is GENTLEMAN ONLY. GORGEOUS SMELL, NO PERFORMANCE AND THE ANSWER IS NOT KEEP ON SPRAYING IT DURING THE DAY UNTIL THE BOTTLE IS EMPTY?

I find longevity to be rather irrelevant. I usually carry around a small decant of any fragrance that I am wearing. Some of the best fragrances of all time have mediocre performance. The goal is to draw people in, not knock them senseless.

Thumbnail review update: I'm genuinely laughing my head off at this thumbnail. By far the best one on your channel. It needs no literary mini-essay whatsoever. It's a masterpiece. I'm short circuiting, overwhelmed by the myriad directions I could take in reviewing it. Like a mandelbrot set for someone deep in the DMT zone, it can keep my mind busy for what seems like hours as I meditate on the image...it goes on and on and on...Terrence McKenna's magical elves have things to show me, word. The creative, philosophical possibilities are endless with this one. Justin, it's the big bang of thumbnails. If I could fire up the Delorian and go back in time to my 12 year old self and ask her to review it, it would read: "This thumbnail is a photograph of the exact view a bottle of parfum would have if you accidentally dropped it into a hotel bathroom's pooper. The second you lost your grip, SNAPSHOT from the pooper's waterline. You also look like a wildly expressive evangelical church preacher, spreading the gospel of scent. TAKE MY HAND!! TAKE IT! I remember a year ago, I wore Bvlgari man in black, and after an hour, I couldn't even smell it.
but few hours later, me and my friend were going to a pub, and waiting outside, and the receptionist said 'one of you smell really good', and I was like, "really? that's me!!" and she asked me what perfume I was wearing..
It happens that many times where I can't smell the fragrance on myself after an hour or so when going out and think that the longevity on this is trash, but after I come back home, I can still get whiffs of it on myself..
