I have had mine for just shy of 4 years. Was cleaning it today and noticed that the left side of the receiver is broken. Right from the corner of the face of the chamber right through to the outside of the Receiver. Very disappointing!!. It has always been a great shooter. Sent an email off to Chiappa to see what they will do. If they do nothing, which I expect then I would steer clear of all the M1-9 models. I will keep you posted. I don't need any $750 paper weights.
The original magazines have a red follower that hold the bolt open on the last shot. Chiappa recommends 124 grain ammunition to cycle the blowback action. Chiappa did a slight improvement on the rifles from the original model.
My M1 9 has the mags with the red follower and it doesn't hold open at all. I also suffer from the action not cycling fully. I have tried different mags and different weight rounds and different brand ammo. To no avail still the same results.
These suffer chronic jamming and stove piping. Its the magazize. Take some scotch bright pads and scrub the top. Same issue as the Sccy. It CAN be reliable. Out the box? Sketchy
I no longer have this gun, as i got it to try out the 9mm rifle but because the bolt doesn't stay open after the last fire i just got rid of it. It was a very nice shooting rifle otherwise. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment.
