I haven't played this game but just from this video it reminded me of Sun Tzu. For the mechanism you talked about, the cards in Sun Tzu have special rules (instead of the regions).
Hey Jamie I’m new to the network of board gaming, your video showed up on my home page (RUclips) and decided to watch. I have recently had a renew love for these types of games rather than online. Just want to give a shout out that I enjoy your content and have subscribed. 🎉
@@jameystegmaier I purchased etherfields along with the miniature set and extra missions pack. I bought scythe and played the hell out of it. Ended up getting the larger board, 2 player extension and campaign set! One of my favourites for sure! I was so used to seeing the games isle at Kmart thinking that was it. But games have come so far from monopoly! 😄😃
I liked the card placing, but I didn't liked the rules for when there was a draw for area majority in a zone. Some kind of card battle where the highest card wins but a one beats an eight, or something like that, dont remember exactly.
This is one of our favorites. Love the rawr n write version too.

Thanks, Ryan! What are a few games you've gotten to the table recently? --Jamey
