Went from a PS5 to Xbox Series S 2 weeks ago and love it. and honestly can’t tell a difference with gameplay or graphics. Don’t know if I’m blind or there just isn’t that much difference and people are blowing it out of proportion. Idk I’m enjoying the Series S and have found a new appreciation for it and thats all that matters in the end.
Some games, especially those without ray tracing, will show not much difference in graphical quality alone on the Series S, but will almost always render at a lower native resolution and a lower framerate. It just depends on the games you play.
It's downgrade... The hardware is a down grade for a new gen system. It forces developers to hold back when building their games. It's not about how well it plays current games since they are held back and optimised for that hardware as well. I mean if you go from a PS5 to series S and see no difference then there really isn't much to say to you.
I just did the opposite. Upgraded from a Series S to a ps5 and I couldn't be more impressed
What about all the gpus that are ostensibly worse than the apu in the series s? you plan for the weakest thing and then work up not vice versa
I bought my Series S 4 years ago around the time of the pandemic and it was hard to get a Series X or PS5 but Series S was available and so far no complaints yet.
its a nice complement to a gaming pc to play all the console exclusives like mlb the show and college football 25

Been using my series s for almost an year. Have a blast every time i turn it on.
I own an Xbox Series X, and a PS5, and I bought my kids an Xbox Series S, and a PS5. People definitely blow stuff waaaaay out of proportion. It's all the fan boys, and hating on one platform or another is one of the most disgustingly nerdy things ever.
Perfect choice i will purchase soon
I've bought 2 Series S consoles in the past few years. Especially around the holidays I was lucky to get both for around $150. My kids LOVE them and having Gamepass helps my wallet out even more. I don't have to buy a game 3 times for all of us to play.
At least the series S forces devs to focus on quality control more often which they have to do in order to get the games better optimized to work on it. Which is something the gaming industry is severely lacking. Anything that forces them to do better is always a good thing.
It's forcing limitations.
@@miraOFFICIALable Agreed. Seen Gears E-Day trailer? Its IN-ENGINE. Gonna need a new console to run that shit. Otherwise it'll get downgraded for actual launch.
@@miraOFFICIALable right then you make a machine that can do as much as the Xbox for the same price you won't. This is how tech goes you want them to start making Xbox 2k? No one would buy it then think how many people actually own a 3k rig for just gaming no streaming just gaming. It's very very low number.
@@ZeroTraceOperativegears always looked crap. That's whole idea of the look the dirty war look. But really it's yo cover the fuck ups GTA san Andreas looks better than gears 🤣
@@bruddabean1676 You realize Gears 1 was LEADING in the graphics department in 2006 right? Or were you not old enough to live through and experience that? E-Day's trailer is real time, and arguably is about to lead AGAIN.
As a family man, I have to say X-box is great for a family. Bit of a long story, in 2021 we updated our old 50' HD TV to a 65" 4K TV and we got ourselves a Series S to go with it, while my oldest son (5 at the time) got our old X-Box One (a year one X-Box One that was all digital because the disk drive went out) and the old 50" TV. We where starting to game as a family, my wife in the living room on the Series S, me in my office on my X-Box One, and my son in his room on his X-Box One. Just this past Christmas we upgraded to the Series X for $399, so I took the Series S into my office. My son seeing the faster X-Box as he called it, wanted one of his own. So he saved up his allowance and birthday money to get his own Series S 1TB addition on sale for $319. That has all three of us gaming together for less then $1000 (just hardware), so as a family we are loving it. As a added bonus my youngest son (now 5) is getting into gaming some so he might end up with that same old X-Box One system in his room joining the rest of us in Halo, Monster Hunter, and yes even Bluey/Paw Portal because of game pass.
Microsoft sells more S’s than X’s. I think that fact isn’t lost on them. Probably the metric they’re looking at the most.
I host a home on vacation rental websites and I put a Series S in the living room for my guests to enjoy during their stay. Streaming subscriptions & Game Pass Ultimate. Can’t beat the price to value the Series S provides. The game pass subscription can be used on two different consoles so I bought a second console to test for quality. A 5 star experience for my guests is my number one priority so I make sure the games are enjoyable and being able to use a second console makes it convenient to “work” from home.
I’m 56 and for whatever reason I have never been able to do fps type games on a controller. Two sticks lead to frustration. But, there are a lot of games on Xbox that I do enjoy that don’t require that type of coordination and that led me to divert off my PC and buy a series S. It works well for me. I don’t have issues with visuals. DIV and BG3 play great. I dunno I’m tired of hearing about it. Series S has its place and a lot of people have bought one.
More series S have sold than the series X
Bought a series s,I'm grateful ❤
For gamers who have the series s like should have no problems
Psready guy has the Ego and “fame” in his head
100,000%
Thanks to bots I purchased a Series S when I could actually get one at retail and I also have a high end pc, I could say these consoles are holding back gaming but maybe it's good that game developers have to make their games easier to be played on something like a rtx 2060 instead of forcing games that would take a RTX 4090 just to play the thing.
I will say the best thing the series s does is being a gift. Im being 100% serious. Its an amazing option to give someone who doesnt have a console
My s is a one terabyte 😂 bye now have a good day
I literally had to buy a new 4k TV that did 120GHZ, had HDMI 2.1 ports and Dolby Atmos to take full advantage of my Series X…so it wasn’t like I just had to save up an extra $200 for the Series X instead of the S lol I had to save up like almost an entire grand for the whole setup console and TV which i feel like a lot of ppl don’t want to do
I did the same bought specifically a lg c2 120mhz.
But I’ve decided I don’t like pc gaming it’s too non user friendly, I don’t own a Nintendo switch and I miss Nintendo games as obviously they not on Xbox so I’ve decided I’ll get a switch 2 when it comes out. So maybe I’ll have Xbox sx and a switch 2 it will just be annoying having to pay for two subscriptions just to play online! FYI I own a GameCube and a 3ds XL.
That was a large factor I mentioned when I was on the floor selling the consoles to people. They'd ask what the difference was and I'd have to clarify it. Basically, if they only wanted to add gaming to their existing setup, I recommended the S. If they already had the balls to the wall (at the time) TV and wanted gaming, or they were buying the whole kit and kaboodle at once, I'd rec the X. If one can play all the same games and the screen they're using can't show the difference, why pay the extra? These days it is a lot easier to buy a new TV with all the extras needed for full usage of the consoles, but a few years back, they were few and far between.
That, and it was near impossible to get Xs into the store. Stock was a nightmare. So we tended to have a lot of Ss. So thankfully that variation probably helped smooth a lot of ruffled feathers over the Xs stock shortages.
My TV is nice, but only goes to 60fps in 4K. I've hooked up the Series S and Series X to compare, and the S really does perform well. What's funny is that PC games work on such a wide range of systems, but developers have a hard time with two configurations for the XBox... I think it's more a capability issue with these programmers.
The issue isn't just about developer capability, but rather the constraints imposed by the Xbox ecosystem.
1. Feature parity: Microsoft requires that games maintain feature parity between the Series S and X. This means developers can't simply remove features from the S version while keeping them on the X. Both versions must have the same core features, which can limit what developers can do with the more powerful X.
2. Hardware differences: The Series S has significantly weaker hardware compared to the X, especially in terms of GPU power. This makes it challenging to achieve the same performance and visual quality on both systems.
3. Console vs. PC development: It's easier to develop for a wide range of PC hardware because:
a) PC games often have scalable settings that users can adjust based on their hardware.
b) PC hardware is more open and flexible, allowing for easier optimization.
c) Consoles have stricter certification processes and performance requirements.
4. How S holds X back: Because developers must ensure their games run well on the weaker Series S, they may have to limit certain aspects of the game (like graphical fidelity, world complexity, or physics simulations) to maintain acceptable performance on the S. This can prevent them from fully utilizing the X's superior hardware, as the core game design must accommodate the S's limitations.
In summary, it's not just about programmer capability, but rather the specific challenges posed by developing for two fixed hardware configurations with significant power differences, while adhering to Microsoft's requirements for feature parity.
@@SilentGamingShowwhat about games on playstation 5, 4 and 4 pro?
sounds like games would need to be made on xbox series S first then Series X and Ps5 for a easy work flow
@@user-jb7ht5gy7t From what I've been able to understand from it, the X and S have the same architecture, the S just has slightly less ram and the video card isn't designed for 4K, but is the same video card. Using the S as an excuse is like them saying your pc game doesn't run well because timmy down the street didn't upgrade his graphics card. Sorry, not buying it. Companies have become lazy and put profits over quality and if they can't rush them out for everything, some systems miss out. It's sad.
I think the development on the pc is like series s and x ( you have the minimum requirements and the maximum ones. But if we talk about xbox might there are 3 tiers ( xbox One, series s and x).
I bought my Series S as a secondary Xbox, and more often than not I'm impressed with how well games run on the Series S.
So a couple of points, I can't easily drop a series x into a laptop bag and take it on the road. I do this all the time with my series S. I would say most people are looking for 60fps 1080p, or 30fps 4k and not look like total ass when using the series S. If you're a video snob, and got an S, that's on you. Plus, as you pointed out, now they have to develop for handhelds as well as PC's that could have anything from a 1050 to 4090 so to say that the S is holding back gaming is a crock.
Short Term: Yes
Long Term: No
I mostly play digital indie games. The Series S is at the perfect price point for what I use it for. Allot of games just run better on the S compared to say, my oled switch which is about the same price. When my kids play minecraft 3 players on switch locally it lags soo bad it becomes almost unplayable. That don't happen with 3-4 player split screen on the xbox.
If they added an external disc drive to the series s I would buy one tomorrow for the backwards compatibility alone
Helpfully MS will do this in the coming years after Xbox Series X sales have tanked beyond any form of recovery, so after the GTA 6 sales madness has peaked, my guess would be 2026.
The next gen consoles will not feature disc drives.
i have a series s and a ps5 digital i use the series s more
Big mistake on Series S. Way too little memory. It should have had at a minimum the same amount of memory as the One X! Bad move.
The One X had 9GB available for games. The Series S has 8GB available for games.
It doesn't need as much as the target is 1080p and not 4K.
@@nrXici think he means the ssd, not RAM. Being only digital and having less memory than the x is a loss. X can use cd games to reduce game size, series s gets cooked. I still don’t know if I should buy it to replace my ps4
You forget the biggest point/issue. The majority of Xbox sales have been the Series S. Without this little machine the brand would be possibly stuffed. This machine is the life support of the brand, not the failure.
Well yes, they have options so they chose the cheapest. There is nothing that supports the notion that those people would have just not bought the Series X instead
And then there's the price difference - it's cheaper for a reason... usually the less you pay, the less features or quality you get compared to the pricier better model
@@ChibiTheEdgehog I disagree. I wonder if as many people would of tried Game pass if the cost for entry wasn't as low. I think the Series S is a realistic doorway to these people and people like me with massive digital libraries. Xbox is the budget value brand now. I loved Xbox from day one but they have fallen low in many ways. Arrogance, denial, stupidity and not listening to customers may make the brand irrepable. Phil Spencer saved the brand only to lose his way with this Netflix of gaming dream. All they really had to do was copy the xbox 360 strategy minus the hardware failures lol.
ya bc it literally can do what the x can just minus the 4k at 120 most people dont have a 120hz tv lol not when 75 and 80 inch tvs are now like 500 to 900 no one is buying a 50 inch 120 hz tv when there is so many bigger tv on sale now
I was born & lived into the first days of the gaming industry & electronics. I had no choice but to be groomed into electronics and how to build certain electronics. Without a doubt the XBSS is hurting the gaming industry.
Phil told everyone that more Xbox games are going on Multiple platforms this is great for us gamers go ahead Phil keep putting Xbox games everywhere you can
I don't understand the thing with the series s and feature parity because there are many games that launched with a performance mode on Series X but not on Series S.
Series S is amazing. Bought mine second hand, with 6 months left on its warranty for 150$. Combined with game pass, this is an amazing offering that makes gaming super accessible. I'm surprised it doesn't have more mass appeal, it's so good and performs extremely well for the price.
Not sure what the fuse is about, had my Xbox series s since the pandemic and have had no issues.
Have XBOX 360, X & a PC.
My 8 y/o nephew, who's green to gaming, started playing on my 360 to see if he liked playing, which he does so we got him his own S which is a good price fit for him.
If the Series s had 2 more gigs of RAM it would be elite. Its Still great though
Anytime a game is facing optimization issues on "Series S" most likely the game will run like ass on any system.
Series S being the "problem" will be the card developers throw out to cover their lack of overall optimization.
Don't forget the fact that ELDEN RING runs perfect on the S console
720p is native rez for the deck
Let's also state that poor Jimmy from PSReady also forgets 90% of his precious PS games are just all upscaled (usually poorly) from 720p.
Only developers trashing series S are just incompetent ones making up excuses. Unreal engine 5 can easily run at max in series s with all its features.
For Me the Xbox Series X is the ultimate dev kit
starfield isn't the best example because trying to play on my pc at around recommended specs i can hardly play because the game freezes every 5-10 seconds on a ship at worst and the number decreases anywhere complex, AMD Ryzen 5 3600X is one of the recommended cpus which is what i run at this moment, AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT is one of the gpus it recommends, which if you take off the xt it's what i have at minimum settings i would expect to at least have a decent capacity to play but loading ever few seconds isn't what you'd expect, and at the time i was running it on an old tv at 1080p
Hey Ray , I really like your content, even if you love Xbox you don't you don't seem to meat ride them . Also you have fair neutral takes on most software/ hardware. Keep up the great work 👍🏿.
Dont get me wrong. I love my series s, but every time I play on a moded server on Arma reforger, with my series s it crashes.
As long as availability is equal, I don't see why anyone would buy the Series S. It has too little storage and it's too weak. Also, used Xbox discs are so cheap (or if you have an existing library from previous Xbox consoles) that paying another $150 for the Series X will pay for itself in game savings alone in pretty short order. In addition, your gaming experience is so much better on the X. It seems like a no brainer to me, but a lot of people just look at the lower up front price tag and call it a day.
I am running a Xbox Series S on 4K UHD resolution, HDR10.
On a 3840X2160 screen.
When I turn on Visual Mode vs Performance mode for Xbox series games I see a noticeable difference in what can be shown.
Now of course this is 1440p upscale to 4k.
I don't have native 4k running with Ray tracing with an output of 1800p on Xbox Series X to a 2160 display.
New to all this T.V. and game spec stuff so correct me if I am wrong.
I did take pictures of The Division 2 in 1080p resolution and then 2160p upscale to 4k through Series S and it changes alot with the polygrams, the way items and models look, lighting, what's allowed through coloration.
Honesty thinking about upgrading to Series X so I can run native 4k at 120hz instead of upscaled 4k at 60hz
There's a massive difference in what the game will show.
Plus running Elden ring in quality mode vs performance mode also changes alot of what you see.
Ether way this t.v. for me is a huge upgrade in quality compared to the 1080p 26 inch screen I was using.
Which now I'm using a 43 inch screen and would love maxed graphics for The First Decedant on the Series X which comes out next week.
Or even Gears of War 6.
But paying $500 I can't afford that for probaly 2 more months.
Also just enabled Dolby Vision for more details.
I prefer running Series S at max graphics than frames.
Because I am a casual gamer. Why spend nearly $550 w/tax to play a game like NCAA FOOTBALL 25 when the S will do.......
kinda done with you bringing up that jimmy guy and his series s hate, i dont see you throwing shade at PlayStation..
Yeah he ahh lame
I really get annoyed with Jimmy's plain and simple simping for the PS5. He even said on his channel that you can't build a PC that will compete with the upcoming PS5 Pro for less than $4k. When you hear that come from someone, instant ignore opinion.
I paid 150 for my S brand new through a Verizon sale and there isn’t anything that can touch that price to performance
Laughs in my 99 quid series x.
I have a series X in the lounge room and series S in my bedroom, currently playing diablo 4 on the series S with absolutely no issues. But I do wish it was as powerful as thr series x
It’s a great console. I work over 60 hours a week and so coming home and being able to do one of my favourite hobbies for cheap has saved my bacon. I don’t have the time to care about resolutions and frame rates so spending as little as possible to save money for future me is great
I own both, and i am currently planning to build my own series s handheld
Microsoft ready 😊
Maybe somebody could answer this question. But with the memory expansion slot on the back of the Xbox series, wouldn't they be able to add something similar to an EGPU or something to boost the performance for both the xbox series? Because Heck, if it existed I would probably get 1 for my serious s.
My Series S is permanently attached to the xScreen. The lower detail isn't really that noticeable on a 11.6" screen.
Look devs still have to twik their games for the steam deck to run, heck even the Xbox Series S is a bit mor powefull than the handheld...so its kinda pointless to say that series S is holding things back... Its a lame excuse blaming it on one console when there are handhelds out there that cant run these games at the same level of a ps5/Series X ....but let's blame it on Series S...its easier ugh
i agree
It’s not the Series S, it’s the fact that like 40% of the player base is still on Xbox One that’s holding gaming back
@@schleinitz6787nailed it

Was anybody game pass quests that wasn’t turned in turned themselves in this morning?
I love how you want the entire video without actually addressing the argument.
as someone who never played xbox so i dont have a physical library, the series S was perfect as a gamepass console
Microsoft is waiting for a miracle from truly next gen games to run perfectly from now on on the S. They should just accept less quality on the game on this console
I want to buy a second hand series s to play Minecraft, forza Horizon 5,GTA 5 and og cod games for story
Should i get it?(The orice is like 180-200 bucks)
I don't understand the S limitation. How does it differ from the pc version they worked on? the S has 8 gigs of ram for gaming and graphics that compares with an amd 6600. This should not be an issue
I might not understand this because I haven’t been playing Xbox for years now, but other then the disc itself why would the game run different on the x and s? Are the graphics different or something because I thought they were the same thing just with or without the disc drive.
Series X has 16GB RAM and has a 12TF GPU. Series S has 10GB and 4TF. Smaller SSD too, usually.
I had my Series S for about a year after it launched, I did end up getting rid of it and getting the Series X. The extra storage, extra horsepower, and disc drive were worth the upgrade in my opinion.
Yeah me too. I figured if I was going all in I might as well get the x. Have not been disappointed
I have the Series S and haven't any complaints...until I stumbled across the glory of mods.
Nope, Series S is a great console.
Gonna be honest, Graphics are top notch right now they way they are, you people trying to make this look like real life or something
Devs: Xbox Series S is holding our game design
Also Devs: Minimum hardware: CPU - 4 cores GPU - GTX 1060 RAM: 8Gb
Yeah, Xbox Series S its the problem...
The games on Series S are the exact same game but the Xbox is instructed to run it at lower settings... The devs dont even have to do anything apart from put that instruction in. Its essentially the Max, High, medium, and low setting like on a PC
Mine came with 3 months game pass ultimate too at $249 seemed like a good deal to me...
I did regret buying the X for years because nothing went above 60 fps to suit the series S. Love how they are finally utilizing some of the power of the X.
I spent a lot of money on building an expensive gaming PC to get the fps way up there because of that. Still love the X now they are using it.
So when Microsoft says they don't allow games to exclude features when delivering a game to their platform, does this come as a direct response to the Rockstar situation with GTAV? Remember, the launch for 360 was the same as Xbox One minus First Person mode, the extended Radio playlists and the visuals being quite different
Series S is a very good console for being small and running highly detailed games, dont know why people find the littlest reasons to make it a bad console, minus the SSD. Its still a good console for being a compact one and lightweight.
My buddy has a S and is a hardcore Resident Evil fan. Newest remake won't play on the S. That money has already been spent. Now he needs a upgrade to play this game.
Series S ain't holding back anything, developers are lazy not to optimize their games
Is it going to be on ps4?
12:16 The XBSS is holding back gaming. Games could look and perform so much better on the XB1X Pro (aka XBSX) had the XBSS not of ever been made.
i think there is a lace for the series s i just wish the would drop the parity between consoles and allow staggered releases on the series s
Honestly, the fact Jimmy bought $200 pants makes me value his opinion less. There is no long run value out of that, a $40 pair should be lasting half a decade easy.
Your developer friend was spot on! Well done! 👍
Because it's 360P , anyone can make a game run at 120 frames when you have the resolution off a gameboy and delete half the rendered objects in sight since then it becomes CPU limited as it's half even the xbox 360's resolution.
Series S would be fine if Microsoft stopped requiring AAA/top tier games to be fully functional on S in order to release to X. If you buy a budget gaming system, you do so knowing you mise out on a lot (just like staying with previous Gen)
this feels lot like priority issue less of the series S issue. A lot of the games run better on ps4/5 was due to the vast amount of installment base compared to the xbox installment base. so the prioritize the PlayStation over Xbox because of the reasoning.
The only difference can't just be the disk drive lol. The size should have been obvious it wouldn't be as powerful. If they had the same power they'd be the same size and then no one would buy the digital. Might as well have the disk option at that point. I'm shocked people find this surprising. Every S version has been this way.
my next game system will have to be a good pc and monitor, but that will be much more expensive.
I got my Series S a little after release, preowned, for just under £200. The Series X was like gold dust then; I never upgraded my Xbox One beyond the launch model and as I said, the Series S was a great price, so I went with it. During the pandemic, it served my gaming needs very well. With lockdowns, it was fantastic as a media unit too. I have since bought a Series X, but I still use the S frequently. I don't see why it gets the hate it does. Holding back gaming? If developers optimized their games properly from the start, rather than releasing a product riddled with bugs and glitches and charging folks £70+, they might see fewer issues overall.
Huh I though the white one was supposed to be more powerfull because it “didn’t have to worry” about disc stuff
🤡
Everything can (in what kind of form or state) run on anything with enough time and optimization. Thing is that it's an added cost for the developer. Will they think their effort will have a return on investment at a platform that is relative small compared to other platforms and where a lot of consumers don't buy games because of the rental service they use. So it not if it can run but how much it costs and if it's worth it for the developer.
I don't think developers are wrong in that the Series S is holding things back, but I do think both developers and Microsoft approached the Series S from the wrong angle. While the Series S is suppose to be a cheaper alternative that acts as an entry system, specifically for those who are really just wanting to play the odd Microsoft exclusive games, resulting in weaker hardware, I think it would be have better for Microsoft to have focused the system on being a 1080P 30FPS system. No upscaling, no performance mode, just target 1080P 30FPS, with the exception being video playback (4K movies and streams). With that, developers would most likely have fewer issues getting games to run at what ever standards they have and I kind of doubt many people would care, they'd just be happy to be able to play said games with some of the benefits of the current generation (namely the loading speeds brought on by the SSDs). Those who do complain about the Series S not having the other perks of this generation can stop being cheap and get a Series X instead.
Glad i was patient and just got the series x
Same tbh…especially since so many games were still supported on my Xbox one i never felt any pressure to hurry up and upgrade till I could afford the X
i have a series S and i love it, it runs everything i play just fine at 120fps 🤷♂️
I haven't bought a series Xbox and I don't have any complaints.
Why are you so sure it's the series S issue when Jez Corden is saying I his article that he was told that Playstation made a deal for exclusivity being the scenes to keep the game off xbox. On this light the comment from xbox makes much more sense. I think Jimmy is rubbing off on you Ray.
Right! That's what slime does lol... It stick to things.
Jez said the same thing about Baldur Gates 3. And he was rightfully called out. (He deleted his tweet's)
11:11 The PS4 Pro is better then the XBSS. The XBSS is a 8th gen console.
It's not tho
Xbox just needs to expand the advance engineering team and ensure they assist with these high profile games ahead of time before it becomes an issue. For the life of me I don't know why a $3 trillion company finds out a high profile game is having issues on their platform at the same time we do. But that's just like a corporate. Spend $70 billion dollars so you can brag about content. But refuses to pay for the backend support cause nobody see that's until there is an issue.
great ray keep the option open to those less critical of what they prefer to enjoy
XBOX Series S emulates XBOX (2005 era) games perfectly fine.
I originally bought a Series S because of the chip shortage and Series X were too rare. I later purchased the Series X; and then another Series X a year later.
$3 for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory on Xbox Marketplace (old XBOX360 Live marketplace), if you go to regular XBOX site, it's $15.
My XBOX Series S is now my dedicated server as that game supports that (PC version doesn't have dedicated server).
I still haven't had a chance to see if an original XBOX running disc version of Spinter Cell: CT can network (actually find a game) with the 9th gen XBOX's, but I don't see why not.
Bro stick some cable ties on them two Television cables dangling down! 😂 Great video tho the s is definitely causing a lot of pain
Lmao at the cables
This man's TV is mounted too high for my liking. 🧐
I bought a series x and because I wasn't playing very much I sold it and bought a series s. I do see a small difference in visual performance but it's fine for me. I think the real problem is lazy programming. I remember when starfield first came out and they were having a hard time getting 60 frames per second on a rtx4090 due to sloppy code. Developers need to just get off their ass and fix s*** and stop blaming Xbox series s.
this
I am running a Xbox Series S on 4K UHD resolution, HDR10.
Or even Gears if War 6.
But paying $500 I can't afford that for probaly 2 more months.
Also just enabled Dolby Vision for more details.
I prefer running Series S at max graphics than frames.
@@JustinBlazeDraxx based on what you want, the Series X makes more sense. It's important to note that not everyone has 4K TVs, so many people who buy the X, might not be using it to it's full potential like how you would be
@ragingtyga
Do I need a 2.1 Hdmi for the Xbox Series X when I get it and what about the t.v. I use?
@@JustinBlazeDraxx The only reason 2.1 is necessary is in order to run a 4K 120hz connection. If that's your goal, you'll need 2.1,which most current TVs these days have and you don't have to spend alot if money
I have both X and S...I prefer my X but not for traveling. The S is my HOME Xbox, so don't miss the disc drive, I gave NOT had any issues with either one. So I'm happy. I also have PS5 and it's definitely NOT for traveling. So I play it in my gameroom when I'm not playing X box. Loblve that you're honest and neutral! 👍👍 Also i buy digital games that i know we'll play together...so 1 game for 2 xboxes! 💕
I really want to buy a S but the more I wait to see what's happening the more I read about the s holding back Xbox...I'm almost convinced that I should move over to Sony
I just think of the Series S as if was the Nintendo Switch, and developers are just porting a game. Remember that there are more S out there than there are X, the Black 1TB S is the same price as a Switch OLED.
The Series S isn't all that bad i had one and tested it on high medium and low quality.
It runs really well in 1440p at 120FPS and also 1080p at 120FPS some games do run best at 60FPS but it isn't that bad. However if you try and force the console to go 4K Ultra in 120FPS you will find a lot of FPS drops and decreased high quality because it can't run that level quality.
It is a great small console especially if you just want to jump on and game with friends, but for best high quality detail and FPS Series X is key.
I have been considering on getting a Series S for my lounge to jam with friends on split screen at 1080p at 120FPS, it works best on this setting in my opinion.
10:25 if you were bad at the game, the game would artificially make you better
If they add steam I will definitely be getting an Xbox x
I think the thing holding us back isn't the Series S it's the last gen, when we went into next gen the companies were trying to focus on the ability to use old tech and be kept in the loop longer, which is great it just didn't transfer properly as hardware limitations of previous gen I argue the one X would have probably been okish but anything below that wasn't going to happen, they couldn't focus on streaming as the technology isn't there in some countries, dev studios have only really started to focus on pure next gen games and that has hurt next gen badly we've not really seen many new decent games and those that have been good haven't really been pushing next gen consoles, I'm scared as I really don't think we'll see anything decent on the current gen consoles before the next consoles come out and I'm scared I've wasted £500 and not be able to get much back from that in order to buy the next console even know I have the series X.
I own an S wish I had bought an X
